I had ordered a firearm to get sent to their shop but before I could even receive it I got tasked to deploy. While I was gone they held it for me until I returned. When I got back the first thing I did was go to the shop. The couple was sweet professional and knowledgeable. It seemed as though they actually cared about my safety. It didn’t feel as though they were just trying to sell me something. I appreciated the experience and I will definitely be returning.

Sign and online says they open at 10. Got here a little after 10 to give them time to open. No one was here so I ended up eating breakfast at Claytons counter. I was about to leave after eating and they showed up to open around 1130.Not much in the store worth looking at. Theres a lot more on their website than the store.On another note Claytons counter has very good food 👍 Id definitely be going back there to try some different items on the menu

I used the online store to purchase a muzzleloader 3 weeks before season. I called after 10 days of radio silence and was told it wasnt in stock. No solution and I had to call to find out.

Rude, zero knowledge of guns. Wont sell ammo unless you buy a gun there. Prices waaaaay to high.

First and foremost I’m proud to say I found a black owned arms dealer. These are my first of many purchases. I loved the customer experience with Renee and Archie, they are awesome people and I recommend everyone to go by to check them out.

Love the shop, the owners was great with a lot of information. It’s a rough world out there so guns are in short supply, but this mom and pop shop will get it for you in no time. Will drive the extra distance to support just for the service.

I called this place in the hopes of supporting a local black owned business. As soon as she answered the phone she was extremely rude. I didnt even get my questions in before I had to end the conversation due to her being unprofessional.

I bought my first firearm from there a couple of years ago and it was a flawless transaction. They had the best price compared to ALL of the other gun stores around here. The added bonus is that they are the ONLY black owned gun store in Hampton Roads which is something that I never thought about before but glad they are here. I heard they are temporarily closed at this time as they are moving to a new location.

Great folks, super friendly. Can & will order anything. But not much to hold/feel/see in store. Its hard for a small business to hold inventory but is also my desire to shop in the store.

Definitely not out of business as the previous guy stated. I visited today. Its a small business; much smaller than I expected, but the staff is personable and I prefer small businesses. Ill be doing business with them in the near future.

They truly deserve zero stars:I have waited over a year to post a review because I didnt want them to hold my suppressor hostage.They are by far the most unprofessional establishment I have ever bought firearms or accessories. I am appalled at their lack of knowledge. They do not do refunds just so you know. They helped me fill out at forms but neglected to tell me all the components I needed ie fingerprints and such. I made several trips die to needing one more thing. Once I did that and sent everything in I get a call several months later that atf lost a page of prints and I need to get another copy to them by the 10th. I came on the ninth and they told me I was supposed to mail it myself!. So I overnighted it. Which if the would have told be over the phone instead of saying bring it in we would have that problem. Also so many hidden fees! I swear they charge for printing paper and redoing paperwork they messed up.Finally the day has come and the stars align and Im getting my stuff. I called and asked to get it on a Friday. He said yes we open at 10. I thought perfect. I work at 1030 I can get it before work. I parked in front and they didnt f 15 minutes I had to leave. Dont tell me when u open if you arent going to be there.Also I feel like they are methed out.

My biggest point against the store isnt actually aimed at the store itself but at their distributors.I made a mistake and ordered three magazines at 17 rounds when my weapon was actually 16 rounds.I fully acknowledge this mistake and thats not on the store at all. However I did not know this until I opened up the package the plastic bags are resealable, but you have to tear them open in order to get to the resealable part.To bear this in mind no matter how the packaging is you had to tear it open in order to get to the ziplock seal.When I found out that the magazine size was wrong I took them back to the shop to see if I could return them they had never been used and they were not damaged I just remove them from the package and realized that they were the wrong size.They informed me that they would call her distributor to see if they could return the magazines and replace them with the correct size which cost a little bit more and I was willing to pay. So it was a complete transfer mistake on my part.However since the bags were opened their distributor said that they would not take any returns. I cut the bags open and they informed me that I probably should not have done that however even if I open the bags properly you still had to rip off the top in order to get to the opening so no matter which way you do this the bag would be torn open, and under that premise I would not be able to return them at all despite them being the wrong size.So I give you a word of warning if you buy anything from their distributors through them and there is a discrepancy, after you open the package, they will not return it and correct the situation, you are up the creek without a paddle...the store has a great ammo selection and the people are nice but if youre going to get anything that they have to get from their distributor I would just cut out the middleman and go straight to the source.

Dont bother navigating the traffic nightmare, they are OUT OF BUSINESS!

Husband and I stopped in there looking for him another weapon as hes law enforcement. We were very pleased with the Education, Knowledge, Professionalism, Supplies, Inventory offered, Quality, and Customer Service provided. We have found our new shop! We Have recommended this shop to all of our friends and Co Workers!

Rene and Archie are always friendly and willing to help with whatever you may be interested in. Always a neat and quiet atmosphere at the shop and youll always enjoy a good conversation during your visit. Never any selling pressure as with some dealers and youre also not ignored as in most. I highly recommend checking this shop out as it is easy to find and the business hours are some of the best around.

Ordered a rifle through the website on monday and was able yo pick it up on Wednesday. Archie and his wife are extremely professional and were very friendly to me and my 2 year old daughter i had with me. Awesome website great service and prices. Will definitely shop there again. Called today and asked if they still had guns. Technically they didn’t lie when they said “yes we do”, got there after a 25 min drive and they literally had 5 guns and the store is the size of a Walmart bathroom. NEVER GO TO THIS STORE❗️

I walked into this place two days ago. Not sure how to quantify my experience but here we go: friendly owners. They seemed eager to help but their firearm selection was almost nonexistent as well as there accessory selection. Very weird. Maybe they do most of their business online or through a robust FFL business? Even the parking lot was arranged in a strange way… I think the best word to describe it is creepy.

The owners were genuinely nice . Also, very knowledgable help me out getting the gun i wanted. They didnt have the particular model in the store so it was shipped in store within 2 days

Saw this gun shop after having lunch at Hooters. It has a neat and clean presentation. Everything is in order. Archie (the owner) kindly greeted me as I looked around the store for accessories to one of my handguns. He showed me several options that I was looking for and never tried to sell me something I didnt need. We engaged in a lengthy conversation and I felt as though I learned something new about the firearms field. I did find a product that I was looking for. Thank you Archie! I would not know where to begin. Being a combat veteran and having served my country honorably for 9 years, I was not prepared for the disrespect given to me by the husband/wife team within the shop.For wanting a weapon for house protection, I wanted a small caliber. For this, I was belittled and laughed at. They both joined in on mocking me and even managed to get others in the store to join in.The two of you should be ashamed of yourselves and the pro-American vibe you display in the store.I will never recommend your store to anyone I know within the military community. Ever.Edit: They have around 10 weapons on display. Everything else is online. They also need to look up the prices of their products. My recommendation: Find a knowledgable shop.

While looking for a weapon I stopped by this little shop. It’s off the road and the only store in its strip mall. I walked in and they happened to have the weapon I was looking for (surprisingly as they only had a handful of actual guns). The firearm was priced pretty high and I explained to them I had cash in hand and if they could even come close to the price of several other gun shops in the area I would buy it on the spot (I am a strong supporter of small local businesses). The wife laughed and questioned if the other shops I read off even existed and then the husband told me if I could find it there for cheaper I should go there. The next day I promptly went to the other shop and bought the exact same model gun for $116 cheaper. Their loss, I would save your time and look else ware, horrible attitude.

Small shop with very little inventory. They appears to be an reseller of online merchandise. Staff lacked knowledge and was fairly rude. When asked about a particular model, they replied that all models were the same. The difference in price was due to the name. Complete waste of time.

BEWARE!!! One word to describe my experience ATROCIOUS. This has got to be the worst gun shop Ive ever been to. The owners are rude and unprofessional. BEWARE, the business will draw you in with their lower than competitors pricing then hit you with multiple hidden fees. If/when you question the hidden fees, the staff immediately get an attitude and argues that all the local gun dealers have the same hidden fees. Shop around, there are lot of great gun shops in the Hampton Roads area. I would recommend you go to Superior Pawn and Gun (2664 Lishelle Place) and/or Bob’s Gun Shop (746 Granby St). My recent experience with the unprofessional Owners of AWH Arms & Ammo cements my decision to never do business with them. AWH Arms & Ammo should be designated as an Off-Limit Area for all Military Members due to unfair commercial and consumer practices.

This couple dont even know gun rights i tried to get them to background check me and that and told them i would be back in 4 months to buy a glock 17 they laughed at me cause im only 20 then tried to tell me i cant own an ak-47 lol these people are idiots find a knowledgable shop they are disrespectful. And turned down buisness. They are racist only nice to black people but im not racist so its all cool they just disrespectful all the way.
