I am normally a person that enjoys finer patisserie and sweets and I had a hunch this wouldn’t be a place to have anything spectacular but we chose to give it a try anyway. The service was great, however, that’s the nicest thing I can say about the Milk Bar. It’s fast food dessert. McDonald’s quality. You’re swallowing straight sugar. And let’s not even talk about the ridiculous prices for what you’re getting. Not sure how this brand is as popular as it is.

The cookies and the cake are unbelievable. I know sometimes they can be a little dry, but for the most part my experiences have been super positive. Cake price is pretty standard for a good cake, which in general is just expensive. I’d definitely go if you’re in the area, get the compost cookie! I’ve tried them all, as you can see in my pictures, and my top 3 are compost cookie, confetti cookie, and blueberry & cream cookie. Don’t miss out!

So the chunks of cereal and pie crust in the cake was a masterful move—it added some nice texture. I liked the birthday cake—sorta funfetti but with a cream cheese icing. Also tried my friends strawberry shortcake. But as others have said, it’s mostly just SWEET sweet. My cake was fairly moist and everything…but it would be a better experience if they experimented with flavors/ingredients and sorta toned down the diabetes. Perfect for an expensive sweet tooth though

Maybe theyre doing too many things and they should just try to do one thing well?

The people need to know... the cake is NOT WORTH your money!!! A group of my friends had the 6 birthday cake for $52. It was WAY too overwhelmingly sweet. The flavor of the frosting and the cake could have been more complex, but the sheer volume of sugar made the flavor very one-dimensional in my opinion. This place is extremely overhyped and very overpriced. I have definitely enjoyed other cakes in the $20-30 range much more than this one. I would not recommend buying cakes from Milkbar, even if you just want to try this well-known place. Save your money and support a local bakery instead.

My expectations were high because Im a huge fan of Masterchef, but unfortunately I was totally disappointed. I had a slice of birthday cake that was very dry and way too sweet. It really lacked any depth of flavor. My boyfriend got a small milkshake that tasted like salty milk with gross chunks of cake in it. Not to mention, everything was pretty overpriced and the only seating was two small tables in the parking lot so we had to stand awkwardly to eat. Dont waste your time.

My girlfriend told me about this place since she’s a huge fan of Milk Bar! It was really cool to come to the opening of the new location! There sweets are really high quality, cakes are soft and delicious and the Cereal Milk Ice Cream is as unique as it can gets. Expect to pay for quality but it’s definitely a worthy treat. The classes are $95 dollars but you bake your own cake which is worth around $50-$60 and your own truffles. Therefore, it’s actually worth the price and you can learn how to make it!

What do you think of when you hear Milk Bar? The first thing that comes to mind is all delicious things that come from milk, especially ice cream. So of course we came excited and ready to check out the unique flavors of ice cream. There were only two flavors to choose from which was interesting. So, we picked the one that seemed like it would be the most fun, cereal milk ice cream. The initial taste reminded me of day old cereal milk. But you cant tell what cereal it is that the milk is from. My husbands initial response was that it tasted the way dog food smells. I just laughed at his response, lol, say what. My sons enjoyed it along with the sprinkles on top. I mainly loved the atmosphere and space of the shop. We decided to be fair we needed to go back and try something else other than the ice cream to give our taste buds a second chance. I cant rule it out just yet, I am interested and intrigued enough to try another flavor of ice cream along with some baked goods. I can guarantee you I wont be getting cereal milk ice cream ever again.

After reading some negative reviews I was fully prepared to be disappointed in this place. I still wanted to try it though, since it was featured on a Netflix special.I bought a single slice of birthday cake and was so impressed! I loved the texture, and flavor. It had a slight fruity pebbles flavor, and the frosting was incredible. The cake itself was perfectly dense and moist, with the perfect frosting/cake ratio. There were crumbles mixed in between the cake layers. Yhe only disappointment was that the crumbles werent also on top of the slice as they would be when you buy the whole cake.I feel it was pricey at $7 for a single slice, but it was delicious and I will definitely be back!

The cereal milk ice cream is gross – its salty and leaves a nasty aftertaste in your mouth . . . not a fan! The crack pie is.... well, pie. I ordered a Valentine’s Day gift for my significant other and expected to have it to give to her. I ordered the cake / kit which cost me ~$70 for a mini cake and “truffles” 10 days before to ensure timely delivery. I saw ads everywhere for MilkBar and how you should “order now to ensure delivery” all through the next week. However, my order wasn’t even shipped until the day I asked for it to be delivered. I began calling to ask about the delivery and only encountered an unprofessional answering machine claiming to have a customer support team. The team took two days to reach back out to me to let me know they could replace my order, as it is still not here. I am very disappointed as this was going to be a big part of Valentine’s / my anniversary celebration. You would think that for selling (“mini”) cakes for $70 (which cost them less than 2 dollars to make) they would have the capital and resources to ensure timely delivery. Take my advice, go to Giant and buy a funfeti cake and icing. At least you know it will be ready on time.

Ive visited this Milkbar 6 or 7 times, including getting birthday items. The food is overpriced and far too sweet, but its somewhat fancy and has unique textures that are appealing. All in all Ive spent at least a couple hundred there since they opened. All that changed last week when I ordered two milkshakes and asked for a cup of water, which was refused by two employees due to their policy of only selling water bottles. Any restaurant that wont give a cup of water to a PAYING customer, especially on an extremely hot summer day, is not a business that should be supported. Just rude. I 100% support their right to make their own business policy choices, but I also support my right to not be happy about it. I wont be back and I will encourage others to avoid this place as well.
