I have never written a review before but the team at the Verizon store on Wolcott Street in Waterbury are extraordinary and if I could give them 10 stars I would!Without getting into the specifics of my phone situation, let’s just say it was a long and tedious task. These people could not have been any more accommodating. Andy and Kathy worked on the problem for hours between the two of them and Rob held down the fort waiting on other customers so my problem could be addressed. They are a remarkable group of people. If you are looking for great customer service this is the place for you.

First Kathy and Andy are great! Dont believe the negative reviews, people are so quick to write negative reviews when things dont go their way. These people are very helpful and will do their best to help you, its a business. That being said Andy has been very helpful when in need. My screen broke on my phone a few weeks back couldnt use it at all, came to this Verizon store didnt realize the time and they were closed. Andy came to the door seen my phone and allowed me in to purchase a phone and help me set it up AFTER HOURS. Today...he helped me with another issue I was having with my phone and sloved the problems. I just want to show my appreciation by sharing my experience in writing a review. Thank you Andy for all your help!

I went to visit the store the other day because my phone was giving me a hard time charging and Andy was the person who helped me! I would like to take the time to thank Kathy at the wireless zone Wolcott st in Waterbury CT. She went out of her way yesterday to help me with my elderly home bound Aunt’s phone. This is my Aunt’s first smart phone she’s using it to FaceTime her partner how recently went to live in a nursing facility due to Alzheimer’s. Needless to say my aunt accidentally botched something up with the phone and was in tears because she was unable to FaceTime. Kathy saved the day. She is kind, knowledgeable. and patient! I have a company supplied phone and I am not even a customer of Kathy. I was going to be without a phone as mine went through 1/2 a wash cycle and was not going to come back from that. My company would take 3-4 days to get me a new one so I reached out for help. Knowing full well I wasnt going to be a customer Kathy worked it out to give me a loaner which she had no reason other that her excellent customer service!! My daughter downloaded a screen locking application, set a password and forgot the password. We called Kathy and told her of our situation. She was concerned we may lock ourselves out of the tablet and may ultimately lose all of our daughters saved material. When we arrived at the store my daughter from previous interactions with Kathy, felt comfortable speaking with her and explained what she had done. After a short conversation and some chuckling, they determined it was simply an app that needed to be disabled and was not a threat to locking the device.Wireless Zone (Waterbury) is the place for all your wireless needs. Arrived to an open store, and they refused to help me because they thought it might keep them a couple minutes past when they got to go home. Disgusting

In my 15 years of being a Verizon Customer I have Never experienced the Top Notch Service I did with Kathy at this location. She has worked for this company for 30 years, owns several stores and Knows what shes doing. There was so much going on with customers the different when I was there, yet Kathy was Unshakeable. She was professional and personal, she handled every customer like they mattered. Impressive is not the word that does Kathy justice, its far beyond. Andy her co-worker is terrific to!

I spent 5 hour here working out some issues with a new phone plan, Im so appreciative of Andy and the other workers in this store. I ended up leaving with exactly what I wanted. Thanks for sticking it out with me!

This was honestly the worst customer service that I have ever received. The guy that I worked with barely paid me any attention. It look him over THREE HOURS to set up two new phones and draw up our contact. He had family in the store who he was prioritizing and entire time. Plus, he convinced me to cancel my current phone plan and get a new one, just so he could have an additional sale. After talking with real Verizon staff I learned that this was a terrible decision. I had a really old plan that I was grandfathered into that still allowed to free phone upgrades every two year and now I cant get them anymore. Just terrible all around.EDIT: I am talking about the right store, Kathy, I just didnt review you right away. You even admit that I was a customer there last July. What prompted the review was speaking to another a Verizon employee about the plan that was sold to me.

Had a problem with my phone and the tech was really helpful. He gave me good information and didnt sell me more than I needed. I would recommend this little place in a heartbeat.

James was patient and informative. He was able to help me pick out a new phone without pressure and he listened to exactly what I needed. I had tried another Verizon location and was practically forced into a higher end phone that would have been way more than I needed and a lot more expensive. Ive had the phone a day now and am very happy with it. I didnt catch the name of the other woman in there but she seemed very friendly and helpful as well. Highly recommend this Verizon location!!

Kathy spent a lot of time with me exploring phone options for my kids. She helped research which inexpensive phones are compatible with fortnite and called me to follow up. This store is an agent for Verizon Wireless services and products. Its owner-manager, Kathy, is highly experienced, knowledgeable, caring and very customer oriented. Her staff is similarly well-trained and competent. If the store doesnt have in stock the item you want, they will get it for you quickly. I have been to many VZW stores and outlets, and this one is far and away the best for all the reasons I mentioned. Highly recommended!!

I used to think of Kathy from Wireless Zone as very helpful, informative and supportive business woman. She helped my family with cellular plan confusion when we lost our head of the household to cancer. My mom had a lot of praise for Kathy, which means a lot because my mom is very picky with customer service.NOW I think of Kathy as a bitter, business-driven woman. In our last request for information and help Kathy was impatient, rude and careless. I decided to call Verizon to address our requests due to this and forgave her rudeness by staying with Verizon rather than switching to AT&T. Verizon helped me flawlessly and made the entire process very easy. Once everything was in place I called Kathy back to receive a loaned phone or to temporarily buy a replacement phone until my new back-ordered phone came in.On the phone she was rude and disrespectful and had NO reputable customer service qualities. She complained that I was hurting her business because I went directly for Verizon Wireless and not through Wireless Zone. I felt guilty and demeaned for doing what was right for my mom, myself and my brother. Keep in mind I am a very polite, meek and intelligent 19-year old college student who was nothing but patient and understanding to Kathy.I AM DISGUSTED. Unlike my mom I am very understanding with customer service and do not expect much from companies/businesses regarding customer service BUT Kathy was beyond inappropriate in the manner that she discussed business with me and deserves to receive a review such as this one.

I try to minimize my time at the Verizon store. I dealt with Joseph and Andy, was greeted with warm smiles and friendly conversation. I got what I was looking for without feeling like I got sold. Recommend 10/10!

I had a defective phone screen. The protector would not lay flat. They told me Id have to live with it. I went to Best buy mobile and they took care of me.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. My husband and I recently upgraded our phones and bought a tablet adding a third line to our account. My husband was working when I made the upgrade so had to switch over his phone after the fact. When he stopped in here, they were horrible! they kept pushing for him to buy something else or to upgrade or buy a tablet obviously not listening to the fact that he had just upgraded. They mocked him for not having a phone case - even after he told them he did, but this was the first time he had taken the phone out of the box. The owner was the person helping him. I will never go to this store again! It is imperative that a business owner in the service industry show some customer service when working with the very people who would have gone there to purchase further items. I am extremely happy that we didnt purchase ANYTHING at this store and now understand why I always hear horrible things about this location.

Overall, Kathy and James do a great job of finding the right plans and phones for people. When a problem with a new Galaxy phone came up (dropped calls), she took care of it and found a replacement without a problem. When there was an issue with improper overcharges on a bill, she got on the phone and took care of it with Verizon. I would recommend them after having bought two phones and accompanying plans through them.

After a car accident a few weeks earlier my cellphone never rang again. Now I have a new S9 by Samsung, phone service is normal again!
