Ive been known this place for so many Years and I have some work done there before They good But what they doπβ
The reason for my one star review is that there was nothing wrong with my cars AC. It was not leaking, and you just wanted me out of your office. No one offered to fix the issues or even took the time to show me where my car was leaking from. If your technicians had taken the time to actually hold a vacuum on my AC system, you would have seen that there was no leak. You saying that you didnt charge me means nothing since you didnt do the job that I was asking you to perform on my car. I would definitely not recommend this place to any one. Just go somewhere else.
Gary and his team reworked a failed transfer case on my BMW X5 50i. This transfer case is a special challenge in a 450HP twin-turbo V8 vehicle. It took a little extra time and attention but they got my vehile running and driving better-than-new.
After talk to Mike the owner and coming to an understanding HE has made things right. He is the definition of customer service on the greatest scale. Thanks Mike for making things right.
Great service! Really nice staff. I took my Jeep Wrangler in to get my a/c checked but they did a total check up too.Told me about a problem I already knew about and did a diagnosis about all my Jeep problems. Will take it here next time since they do a complete check up and will be able to fix any problems I have.
The manager Gary was extremely helpful and polite. He assisted me by honestly telling me to go to the dealership for a repair since I had a loyal customer and should have still been under a warranty. Gary thank you so much for your honesty! You were very helpful!
The guys at Aamco did a great job. They kept me in the loop daily on whats going on and what is needed to get me back driving. They also made sure once repairs were done, that my SUV was driving smoothly. Its been 2 months and no issues what so ever
The employees here are wonderful! Checked my vehicle when the check engine light came on and was very informative on the issue and how to fix it! Highly recommend coming here!
So they received my vehicle on May 6th of 2021. Gary contacted me the next day on May 7th telling me that they were going to rebuild my transmission and the total would be right at $3,200. I agreed for the work to be done. He told me at the latest my vehicle would be ready Thursday the following week.I contacted him Thursday May 13th and he told me it would be ready the following day which is a Friday the 14th of May! I arrived on site at AAMCO transmission and the vehicle still set in the parking lot and nothing had been done! I did not rush them I waited until the following week and contacted him Thursday and the vehicle was still not ready! The following day I contacted him on Friday May 21st and the vehicle was still not ready I sat in the parking lot for 4 hours saying if my vehicle was being worked on or not, nobody wants touch the vehicle and I asked Gary what was going on and he told me that his mechanics were out test driving it at the moment I told him he was lying because nobody had moved the vehicle all day long and then he began to tell me that the vehicle had to cool down this and that which at this point hes already lied to me so I cannot trust a word that is coming out of the mans mouth! I contacted their corporate office and then he released the vehicle Saturday May 22nd when I received the vehicle the passenger window was down and it had rained all day long inside my vehicle which is now mildewing! Also the check engine light was flashing as I drove it home and it was not like this when they received it! I do not know what they did to my vehicle but I plan to get to the bottom of it!
Great place to do business. Always honest. Respond back to you every time you call
I brought my car to AAMCO in Webster for a transmission service. Gary and his team provided excellent customer service and serviced my vehicle at a very reasonable price.
We brought our vehicle to have the engine replaced a few months ago and were lucky to have received the customer service that we did. Gary and his team did a great job and for that, were grateful. Definitely recommend.
My vehicle vibrated hard when idle, as well as the brakes were underperforming and the brake pedal was undersensitive. After they replaced the transmission and motor mounts on my car, and replacing brake pads and cylinder for the brakes, there was a noticeable improvement to my 2011 Ford fusion something I noticed afterwards(2-3days) that when making turns at low speed, there is a squealing sound. Otherwise it was a good experience and explained what they were doing to my car and the customer service was great.
Gary is a very attentive and responds very to any questions and inquiries that are needed one of the friendliest mechanics that Ive came to in Texas since I moved here
Gary, Gary, Gary, I want to let you know that I am so sorry for taking so long to write my review. You listened to me with my story of how Snider Transmission took my car from Firestone-which was supposed to be free-told me they dropped the transmission and was trying to charge me for it, did not want to give me my car back after I did not tell her to drop it but let me think about it. Finally got my car back and was very nervous to take the car anywhere after Firestone and Snider did that to me. You took the time and explained and even showed what you would do and kept your word. You rebuilt a transmission for me and was willing to help me out on other issues. Your customer service was great and also your understanding. You kept me updated and did an awesome job on the car that it felt like it drove like a brand new Nissan Altima. Thank you and your team and I am forever grateful for your work and not trying to get over on a female as I see now is true that car repair shops do. Thank you again, and again so sorry for taking forever to do this review but you and your shop have always been on my mind. God Bless!!!!!
Aamco in Webster, Texas was amazing! The quality of work was great! Timely, accurate, friendly, understanding of my predicament, and they honored their word. My truck is running like new.
Gary was very accommodating for my 2001 Jeep Cherokee! My Jeep has over 292,000 miles and Gary and his team is helping me get it to 300,000!
The BEST! Gary is extremely knowledgeable and professional--he told us what the problem was, how long it would take to fix, and how much it was going to cost! We were thrilled with the service and timeliness of the repair. This is the place to go with your transmission problems! Awesome!
AAMCO in Webster is amazing. Gary was super helpful and knowledgeable about the problems I came in with. Very professional service, I would definitely recommend!
Honest and upfront on services and what can and cant be done π.
They did a Great job....
Gary the manager in office not only made sure they took care of my truck but also reassured me. They have outstanding customer service and work ethics! My rebuilt transmission is working amazing! I would recommend them to everyone especially if you are on a budget! Thank yβall so much for everything!
Excellent service, Professionals that get the job done right. Webster Location fixes your car right the first time.
They were out right rude and self serving! They pitch the heavy, hard sell. Tried to get me to believe my transmission was going out, $3975.You see, the new Dodge vehicles do not have a trans dipstick, so not easy to check. I left there in disbelief because the car was not running bad it just had an odd smell to it running. Went to another transmission shop, Transmission Pro, did not tell them my Horrible experience at Aamco, they find it is simply low on fluid and it was a bit burnt. 130000+ miles on car, so for $89 they did a fluid change and new gasket. I was on the road less than 45 minutes. Car has been running fantastic and smells normal ever since! Under no circumstances on Earth would I recommend AAMCO to even my worst enemies. If you need transmission work in the Clear Lake area, Transmission Pro on NASA 1 is the place to go!
The manager told me he couldnt figure out what the problem so he would have to take apart my transmission. When i told him i couldnt afford that and i would be picking my truck up, his whole demeanor changed. He got extremely rude and almost implied that i had to have the work done there. Another woman posted a review very similar to this and it is absolutely correct!
They did an excellent job on my car repairs, as well as extremely good prices and very timely
Great service, timely manner. Just picked up my truck for transmission rebuilt, good with warranty. Time will tell with the 18 month warranty.
If I could give them 0 stars I would. I took my car with a damaged transmission. They told me it would cost $800 for a diagnostic. After a few days they quoted me at a little less than 5k. I naively agreed to the repairs, however like 15 minutes later on the advice of my parents I called a few shops to get quotes on what they told me was damaged and all of them were at least half of what aamco was wanting to charge. I called them back and asked them to hold off on any repairs but they said it was too late. I was at work so I had my parents call and plead with the manager to charge whatever work had done so far and release my car. But he refused claiming that the work had already been started 4 hours prior even though I had agreed to the repair only 20 minutes before and the car wasnt supposed to be ready until 4 days from then. This guys can magically do 4 hours of work in 20 minutes and without that parts having arrived yet. I want my car back even paying the $800 for taking apart the transmission that others shops dont charge I would still save over $1500 and get a longer warranty. Agreeing to the repair was my mistake but this place was sure to make me pay for it. Now they want to go the work and keep my car to pay for it even though I asked to just get my car back. If I gather any lessons from this dreadful experience is to never do business with aamco again and to warn every family member, friend or any body I come across to do the same.(Update)After writing my review i received a reply by AAMCO. I am well aware that I share some of the blame for this whole situation. Like I previously stated I did authorize the work without first checking other quotes from other places. however after reading the reply I wondered why if AAMCO is on the right here they would resort to lying about how the events played out. first of all AAMCO claims I authorized the work be done at 8:47 am on Friday 3, 2020. and that they werent asked to stop the until after 4 hours later this is false and to prove it i attached the call log to this review which shows the earlies call from AAMCO I received on Friday july 3,2020 was at 11:21 am and I called back to ask them to stop the work at 12:10 pm a mere 50 minutes in between way less than 4 hours and i was told still that too much work had already been done when 50 minutes ago Gary said he had just ordered the parts and it still took 5 more days from that day for the car to be ready. this can be corroborated by the included call log provided by my phone company. Into my second point AAMCO also claims that the shop that gave me a quote was closed that day but that shop was mr transmission which quoted me a $3000 and is open on Fridays from 8 am to 6:00 pm well withing the time frame in which all this took place and funny enough the same hours as AAMCO., I attached a copy of their business hours as proof. Finally i posted the original reply from AAMCO just in case it is edited or deleted in the future. You may be in the right here AAMCO which just begs the question of why you have to resort to lies.As a last attempt to come to a solution that work for both parties I asked if could have a little more time coming up with the $5000 or have some kind of discount since they had time to stop the repair lied about it and basically forced me into this situation after I pleaded with them. But AAMCO didnt make any effort to be flexible and told me I either pay them or they will auction off my car and leave me with no means of transportation and thousands of dollars in debt.
The staff is super friendly and solves our problem like a rock star. Iβve been using AAMCO at another location for three years and this one is as awesome as the other place. Our car has an rear main engine seal leak so it had to be left at the shop for an entire day. They did the job really fast during the holidays and the staff even gave me a free ride home and a free oil change! Would definitely come back for future services.
Exceptional customer service.Came in after they got me in and out with no problem. Would highly recommend!
I found this place by accident and im really glad i did. I ended up needing my entire air conditioner redone. Gary and the other employees were very nice and patient will me. They were very fast and it only took a day to fix. Im sure I will be back if I need more work done.
I highly recommend and will return again myself if ever needed! Gary and Mike provided excellent professional service. The technicians were very thorough and took the time to make sure my car was 100% fixed. Gary remained polite and professional when I kept calling to check on things lol! As Iβm sure most can relate, it seemed I had car troubles during one of my busiest weeks, so I may have been a little persistent sorry Gary! Very relieved to have my car fixed and back in action thanks to yβallβs excellent service!
Gary and his team did a great job on servicing our car. They gave us a quote and stuck to it. Very professional. The βlittleβ things also count big. They gave us a ride home and on completion of the job, due to logistical issues on our end, they offered to drive the car back to the house and drop off the keys. This was very much appreciated. I would certainly recommend these guys to anyone due to their professionalism and customer service. Thanks again!
My girlfriend took her car in to have work done. Turns out the work didnt need doing and her car was perfectly fine. Instead of taking the money and either doing unnecessary work or nothing at all, they were honest and told her to hold on to her money. Theyve earned my business in the future.
I dont dislike this business, prices should be competitive with other transmission repair services. The service manager (Gary) was very helpful to explain the work requirements and provided service for a ride home if theres any delays with return of vehicle.
I recently brought my car to get a FREE transmission diagnostic (2013 Ford Fusion SE 2.5L) 02/26/20. I was informed I would get a call in a few hours when it is finished. Hours went by and no call. So I ended up calling my self, I spoke with Gary or whoever answered the phone and he began to tell me what is wrong with my cars transmission over the phone (very unprofessional). unfortunately I was outside with my daughter and could barley hear anything he was saying. Not even 30 minutes later I arrived at the location. I spoke with Gary about picking my car up, I then asked him can I have paper work from the diagnostic that was ran on my car. All I was informed in person was that I needed a new transmission, however when I called the shop 30 minutes prior I got a very detailed explanation on what was wrong with my car that I could barley make out due to the wind from outside. I asked him could he repeat his self and he refused to and kept it very short and rude with me just telling me I need a new one. My total cost for part and labor was $3,391.88. Driving home I noticed my car was now riding worse then before I took it to the shop as well as a light popped up on my dash, I called back in inform GARY about what I was experiencing and yet again he was very rude and became very defensive about the issue. I called back today 02/26/2019 offering to pay for the diagnostics that was done on my car so I can receive actual paperwork showing what was wrong with my car. Gary again was very rude and told me the only paperwork I was going to get was a invoice if I would like them to fix the issue nothing more or less. I informed him of my reason of needing the paperwork due to my car now ALL OF A SUDDEN doesnt want to move/work and every other transmission shops want to run their own diagnostics on it. He informed me that all I need to know is that I need a new transmission. I would NOT RECCOMEND this location to ANYONE. Unless you are willing to deal with a VERY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL location.
I love this place! The people are friendly the service is always great! Ive had my trucks in for brakes, oil changes, which by the way are the best prices hands down! Believe me its the best anywhere!
Didnt do what I wanted done wanted to charge me, $1200 for a tune up
I Highly recommend AAMCO in Webster. They have repaired my vehicles over the years and I know I can trust them on their service & their recommendations for any additional services that need to be performed. Repairs were completed on time & very friendly staff.
I came here to find out what was going on with my transmission. Gary told me heβd look at it and give me a quote. He seemed very friendly, caring, and genuine. Later that day I called to check on it and he said they found an internal mechanical failure and they would need to charge $785 to disassemble, clean, reassemble, and diagnose my transmission. Plus the price of whichever parts needed replacement. I went to pick up my vehicle and he told me my transmission is in βvery bad shapeβ and I should either get it fixed or get a different vehicle asap. He said it would definitely need part replacement and it would only get worse and leave me stranded. He clearly didnβt want me to drive it home. I left in tears because I knew I couldnβt handle this financially. I decided to get a second opinion and a well-respected shop with great reviews. They ran codes, pulled the pan, checked everything thoroughly for free and couldnβt find a single issue with my transmission. In fact, the only issue is in the engine with an o2 sensor. Gary seemed so nice but he is clearly great at manipulating. He didnβt want me leaving with my vehicle because he was probably worried Iβd get another opinion and find out he tried to scam me. I believe every positive review he has was someone who failed to get a second opinion. I saved my self about a thousand dollars I donβt have as a struggling single mom and student. I strongly recommend you save yourself as well and take your business elsewhere. I may not know anything about cars, and I may be temporarily poor, but Iβm not dumb.
Knowledgeable staff and reasonable price for AT rebuild. Glad to find these guys after two previous shops were unable to diagnose Mercury transmission issue.
Gary was very professional and just a nice guy to deal with. I called as much as I wanted and never got any attitude. They seem like they know what they are doing and the price was fine. Love the fact that they have payment options. All and all a very good experience.
Would never go there again! Dropped my car off on a Monday (8/20) in the morning. I understand it takes a day or 2 to find out what the problem is. Once I found out what the problem was on the evening of 8/22 i declined the 5100 dollars it would take to fix my car. They said okay we will put your car back together and it will be done Friday or Saturday. I go in Friday afternoon and Gary said oh it will be done Saturday morning or a little later. I happened to work Saturday so could not make it. I went in Monday at 4pm and of course Gary said oh it will be done tomorrow this evening or tomorrow morning. Im going by tomorrow morning and im willing to bet it is not done. 900 dollars to tell me what is wrong with my car? 19 hours of work they told me,I contacted 2 other places and told them what was wrong, both giving me quotes for half of what they wanted.Service takes too long and they charge too much. Should have read the crappy reviews before i took my car here.
Was a pleasure doing business with this company. I chose them over the other for their reputation, kindness and affordable prices. Gary was friendly and communicative and got my service done within a reasonable time. -Lonnie
Theyll tell you the truth, they can do a fluid and filter change, but if your transmission is not working properly, the fluid change will just make it worse or wont do any good.
Gary and his guys were very professional and optimistic they could repair my transmission and they did. For half the price the dealership wanted. They corrected a leak in oil pan and gave a full service to my rear brakes. Fantastic job, thank you very much.
I am amazed at how efficient and caring this company is! They have done a great job on my car more than one time and I have never been disappointed. Thank yall for all your hard work!
Friendly service at a fair price. It took some negotiating but I got them down to a price that I was comfortable with. They took the time to show me all of my damaged parts and explain everything to me in a way that made sense.
AAMCO is a wonderful clean place. Service was really quick on my car. Great customer service and Gary is a polite awesome manager. My transmission flush was 129.00, my oil change was free, and I got a 10% discount with the online coupon. Thats a huge blessing when you dont make much money. Thank you so much guys Im 100% satisfied with the service, and look forward to seeing you again. Have a bless day!
Our brakes went out 3,000 miles after being serviced at a different aamco. They honored the warranty on the parts and charged a fair amount for labor. They were honest and friendly, our vehicle was seen 4 hours before expected, and they threw in a free oil change! They will definitely have our business again and would recommend to anyone else.
Hey, this place has be BEST customer service I have ever received from a car repair shop. I needed my oil changed but I am new to this area and did not feel comfortable just taking my Baby any where. So I hop on google maps to do a quick search, and what do you know a local AAMCO pope-up. I called to see if they had any available appointments so I could come in. I was respected and received more then what I paid for. The manager Gary had a smile that made me feel very comfortable, and he was so conscientious of his customers needs. The best part is there free services they have, and that they care. I will be bring my truck back there when it needs service. You Guys are the best!!! See you Soon
I have a Hyundai, Accent 2004 that had needed some work done due to its age. The engine light would continue to come on, the brakes squealed, and whoever I brought it to couldnt seem to figure it out. Then, once I brought it to Gary, he fixed things that we didnt even know were wrong, and now it runs like new! Gary is a very trustworthy and reliable source, and I would recommend him to anyone who doesnt want to get ripped off.
We had a great experience at AAMCO! We moved to Texas from Alaska and brought our car in for an oil change and AC recharge. Gary and his team told us we didnβt need an AC recharge after all (saving us at least $100), just a cabin air filter, and offered to install it for free. Weβll definitely be utilizing them for our car needs in the future!
My transmission needed major repair in my import SUV. I usually try and do my own work but decided to use CLEAR LAKE AAMCO due to time restraints. I could not be more pleased with their service and the way I was treated. Gary, the general manager, kept me informed every step of the way in the tear down and discovery process. He discussed with me thoroughly all options on the rebuild. I now have a transmission built back to the factory specs at a very fair price. As a car guy myself, I highly recommend their expertise, especially on modern complicated transmissions.
Ive spoken to various transmission servicing facilities local to Webster, Clear Lake and League City areas and couldnt find the answer I wanted to hear or was treated less than I deserved. Its truly hard finding a knowledgeable, reasonable and honest company to maintain your vehicle. I figured since I had transmission concerns, Id go to a place that repairs transmissions; and they do much more than transmissions. I chosen wisely, this crew has the expertise, competitive pricing, honesty and passionate about solving your problems. My thanks to you!
I brought my hot rod in to have my transmission upgraded for optimal performance. The manager and owner were very professional and honest upfront. The workmanship customer care was second to none. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone
Dont let the name AAMCO fool you I took my car there for a basic transmission service and they did a so call overall check on my car and said I needed over 800 plus dollars worth of work done on my car ended up getting a second and third opinion from reputable shops and was told that this work was not needed talk with the manager about this situation but I was made to be a liar because his techs couldnt possibly be wrong make sure you get your car double checked before you let these crooks so call do some work that my not even need to be done
I had great customer service with these guys. My A/C quit and I new from past experiences I needed to get it in and fixed before my belt broke and left me on the side of the road. They got it in and told me that yes it was all bad and would be able to replace it the next day. They also told me about my tranny fluid and my front and rear fluids needed changed. I usually do that myself but just dont have the time. They cut me a deal on that since Im already dropping a lot for my ac unit. I realized that I needed my radiator flushed also and I called them back and they gave me a great deal on it. This is why Im writing this review. I never write reviews on here but it feels good to be able to let people know about the experiences. I only put 4 stars on here just due to the fact that I dont have my truck back yet and I want to make sure its in the condition they said it would be. I feel extremely confident that it will be. Next time I have any issues I plan to come back.
As all women know, finding a mechanic shop that will βshoot you straightβ and not inflate repair estimates is near to impossible. Two months ago, my car shut down on TX Hwy 35 and I was able to safely coast to a stop near a gas station in Alvin Tx. I was referred to Aamco in Webster becuz they offer Total Car care services and have a reputation one time repairs, meaning their customers donβt return vehicles requiring additional repairs for the same issue. They arrived to tow my car in 20 mins and diagnosed it within 24 hrs. Since I elected for them to complete the transmission repair I was NOT CHARGED for the tow or diagnosis. My carβs transmission runs better now than it EVER has...becuz of their overall expert service work and friendly, honest manager, I give this operation a 5 star review!! Thanks Aamco!!
Technicians do a fantastic job! Absolutely NO complaints about the work they did! BUT the guy up front, Gary I believe, kind of eluded to the fact that parts wouldnt be too much! Technically, he was correct, parts (each part) was not too much but the shear number of parts was not part of his conversation! He hinted after I was told the labor to tear apart & rebuild would be x amount. I understand that part clearly. I then asked about the possible parts cost! He stated they shouldnt be too much? I was never told the possible TOTAL cost. I understand a transmission rebuild can be very expensive once they see how many parts are in need of replacing. I have no issue with that. I have issue with how Gary (I think that was his name) kind of beat around the bush about possible costs. He also said hed call Wednesday afternoon. Not a word? I called Thursday & was told Thursday afternoon they would be done. I called Thursday afternoon & was told Friday morning. Ok I called Friday morning only to hear that Friday noonish at the earliest? I then called Friday noonish to see how things were going. I was then told close of business Friday... maybe. The did finish by close of business on Friday. I showed up and had to wait about an hour to get vehicle. No big deal I can wait. The job done was GREAT! The technicians KNOW their stuff and do an excellent job! But they need to get rid of the guy up front! Dodgy answers, no call backs & very vague information! I understand a transmission can be $3000 to rebuild. But the way I was told how much it would cost was vague & misleading, at best! The times for finishing were vague & misleading at best. The communications to me were not professional & not timely. Problems happen, I understand that, Im not asking for miracles? Just communicate clearly and call me when you say you are going to. Tell me next week, then finish early & im happy, tell me it could be as much as $4000 & then when its $2800 Im happy! For a receptionist he sucked! But I must state again the technicians did an AWESOME job! My transmission is working great and those guys rock! Just get a professional for up front! That would make my experience so much better!Good luck AAMCO
Gary kept in contact with me throughout the process and also provided finance options. Service was fast and my mustang is running like never before. Highly recommend them!
Had my 2006 325i BMW fixed there I wish I had never take it to the dealership. Cause they give me the great service. For a better price than the dealer
Gary made my visit a very pleasant one. He kept me informed and up to date from the day I put my truck in the shop until the day it was ready. It was nice to have such a great experience in a stressful time. They repaired my transmission in a very timely manner. I would recommend Aamco for all your transmission needs.
Gary was awesome... Excellent customer service. Also, took time to explain & provide payment options..Thanks for the referral Bones..
Thanks AAMCO! Im sure you saved me a few thousand dollars by quickly identifying the issue with my transmission that Dodge dealership missed.Gary was very customer focused and even helped to educate me a bit on mechanical service business practices. Thanks for the advice and for helping calm my anger with the dealership.I would come back or recommend Webster AAMCO to anyone that needs quality, professional, and expedient transmission service.
Went in convinced I needed transmission work. They checked it out and found the U-joints were bad and fixed me right up. They could have billed me for a transmission rebuild, but gave me the straight scoop. Gary was very courteous and the shop did the work quickly. Thanks, guys, I appreciate it.
Ive been very impressed with the professionalism and customer service offered by the team at AAMCO. The owner, Michael was very friendly and welcoming while I sat in the waiting area. Unfortunately, I live on Galveston island (~35 min from here) and understandably was not able to receive a ride elsewhere but was told if I lived closer that they are normally able to give a lift to customers if their car serviced for a long period of time. I would recommend them to a friend and will be a returning customer!
Took our infinity in first thing in the morning. The staff immediately looked at the cat and determined what was wrong. Provided us with a quote and completed the repairs that day. If you are looking for reliable good service, I highly recommend this location.
Very helpful and professional. I took my truck in for brake issues. They got my truck right in, I received a quote and they started service on my vehicle. The pricing was reasonable.
I am so very pleased with the service Ive received from AAMCO. I initially brought my car in for a basic transmission service. To my surprise, the transmission was broken. From the very beginning, Gary (manager), was very professional and helped me to understand everything that was going on. He went above and beyond to make sure that the insurance company gave me the best and most fair pricing that would allow for my transmission to be rebuilt back to factory specifications. The process has taken longer than I expected but with no fault to AAMCO. Even though the care is not finished, Im confident that I will be 100% satisfied with the results. You have definitely gained a new customer for my future car care needs. Thanks for everything.
I cant say enough about Gary and the guys at Aamco. I have a small business and take my buses there whenever I have a problem. From a/c problems to oil changes, these guys are the best. Keep up the good work!
Excellent service on Jul 15, 2015.Called them up at 10:30 for a rear brake job on a mini van, took my car in within 15 mins, had parts delivered faster than I could tell an out in an hour!Made sure their prices beat any dealership! Will come again for minor and major issues!
I cant say enough positive things about these guys and have insisted all my friends see them for all their vehicle needs! In addition to replacing my transmission, brakes and oil change, they continue to check my vehicle, bumper to bumper, whenever needed, giving me peace of mind. I wont take my vehicle to anyone else! The genuine courtesy of everyone, at the Webster location, is enough to keep my business.
Right off the bat... THEY WILL LIE TO YOU IF THEY CAN.My wifes 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe would not go into park so I looked this place up and saw what seemed like fairly impressive reviews. We took it to AAMCO (on Hway 3), they looked at it and told us that the transmission shifter had somehow sheared off into the transmission. We were lucky it was even driving they said. Sadly we let them tear apart the transmission, they call us back and tell us its $3200 in repairs. We in the mean time wised up because how can what they are saying be true yet the transmission is working perfectly fine. We contacted the Hyundai dealership and turns out there was a recall on a switch behind the break pedal that they would fix for free. We had to pay AAMCO $630 to get her car back and Im willing to bet money they never even touched the transmission. They knew it had a recall and that we were dumb to that fact... so they lied to our faces and tried to shock us into forking for a simple recall fix. This place may bend you over too, so dont chance it. Its not worth getting stabbed in the back just because their reviews seem good... Probably due to a lot of other stupid people they screwed.Dont forget to thank me for my review... (OWNER).
Great service and great people. always able to answer my questions without making me feel like taking advantage of woman. that might not be as knowledgeable about cars
My transmission went out on Wednesday morning. Gary got my car right in, fixed perfectly, and ready to go within 24 hours. I would recommend Aamco in Webster to anybody. Thank you!
My Girlfriend and I took in our 2003 Tahoe with major problems, no reverse not shifting and slipping. Gary quoted us an out the door price and said it would be done by late Friday afternoon. She picked it up late Friday afternoon and drove it 4 hours to Georgetown. No problems and it drove great. Thank you Aamco.
Did a great job fixing my Honda Pilot transmission saving over $1000 from the estimates through the Honda dealership. There were additional finding and minor repairs they discovered yet they rolled those into the original repair cost. Fair pricing and professional staff. I would bring my car there again and mention my good experience to others.
Aamco in Webster was very professional and extremely helpful to me. I am a single mom and needed financing options. Aamco provided that for me. The service I received was the best Ive seen!! Gary was calm, explained everything to me, and I was allowed to call anytime and as many times as I needed. He made the situation bearable. I recommend them to anyone needing transmission work.
I have to admit that when I brought my car in because of the Service Engine Soon light having come on, it ended up being more work and money then I anticipated to be told that everything was good to go, BUT my treatment here was good. I brought my car in with the understanding that itd be ready the following day ( its my work car and had to have it quick!), and while it ended up not being ready, it wasnt Garys fault. The dealership didnt get my part to them as promised, and so what could he do? Well, he couldnt give me my car, but he did discount my cost by performing an oil change Id requested for free, because of my having to wait an unexpected day for my cars return. To me thats good customer service. It wasnt really his fault that my car wasnt ready, and yet he did something that was within his control in order to compensate me for the trouble. Ill use them again.
I have been bringing my vehicles here for years. Mostly routine work, but one transmission rebuild, and an a major electrical issue. They have consistently provided quality work. I cant recall when I have had to come back and get them to fix something because it wasnt done right. I dont know many shops that are cheap, but they have beaten other quotes from other shops more than a few times, enough to earn my business first now. When I had my transmission rebuilt, they really worked with me and understood the financial burden that it takes. They have on a couple occasions helped me in response to my loyalty.I definitely recommend bringing your vehicles here, the service has been great, the work has been great, and I will continue to support them.
AAMCO Transmission, Webster, TX on Hwy 3 is the place to go for work on your rear end differential. I appreciate Gary R. for his knowledge and expertise giving me the information I required concerning a rear differential rebuild. I am pleased with Garys pleasant demeanor and willingness to assist me any way he could. Thanks Gary, you made my day!
This was the best automotive care that I have received in years. Im a loyal customer that has always paid on time. However, due to conditions beyond my control (family illness) I could pay my bill. Ammaco let me drive my car and make payment until I could pay off the remaining balance... Ask for Gary...He is the best...Darrell
This was the WORST car experience I have ever had!I chose this AAMCO because they offered a free loaner car. After having my car for 14 days, they never loaned me a car. Technicalities. They charged $600 to tell me that it will cost an additional $3000 to fix my transmission. I had it towed to Transpro Transmissions, who fixed it for $1705. AAMCO wanted to charge me for a lot of things I didnt need.In addition, they were awful to even talk to. I felt like I was talking to a lawyer (sorry to the lawyers out there).Avoid this place!!!!
Go see Gary and you will get quality service at a fair price! Their services are above and beyond.
So my truck was acting up due to the fact that my transmission was acting up. got on the phone with Gary who is the manager there, and set me up the same day I talked to him. my truck was done 4 days after I dropped it off, but this guys did an excellent job, she runs and drives great now. thanks to aamco transmissions, and their excellent work. I recommend anyone who needs transmission work done to give this guys A call, theyll work with you and guarantee their work.
Fair priced shop. Wont screw you over
This is an awesome car shop! Unlike others where they tend to find EVERYTHING wrong with your vehicle, I felt very confident I was getting an honest estimate here. I had previously come in for a new battery and they told me candidly that I could get it cheaper (as well as installed) at a local auto parts store and even gave me a name to ask for at the auto parts store. When I dropped my car off for a tune-up, they took me to work and picked me up afterward. The mechanic who rode with me was very friendly and the whole experience from start to finish was way more pleasant than Im used to. They actually made spending $450 still feel pain-free!
Shout out to gary these guys are very professional they helped out tremendously if you are looking for some great work please do not hesitate to get your car worked on here!! Thabks guys!!
Avoid this place. They will find problems that dont exist and bleed you as long as you let them. Condescending too. I will never go to this AAMCO or another ever again.
I took my 2007 Hyndai Veracruz to Aamco at the recommendation of the shop that routinely changes the oil in our vehicles. Gary received my vehicle in and was very professional and polite. They provided transportation for me back to my home and called me promptly to tell me they were able to duplicate the symptoms on the test drive. My car had an extended warranty which may have prolonged the process as representatives from the warranty company had to confirm the diagnosis ( as I was told by Gary) prior to issuing approval for service and payment. Once the warranty company made their assessment, the car was ready when I was told it would be. I explained that the shop that recommended them to me also had stated my brakes were close to needing replacement. Gary had them do a brake assessment and indicated the brakes were still in good condition and did not need to be serviced. I dont know what a normal time frame is for transmission work, but my car was in their shop just shy of two weeks. All in all a pleasant experience.
AAMCO fixed my car transmission quickly and professionally. The worked with my Warranty provided to get the best deal for the price. I would recommend AAMCO strongly for transmission repair
Gary and his team performed an outstanding job on my vehicle. They were very professional with the logistics and work we need more people like this my experience with AAMCO was GREAT GREAT keep up the good work.
I dropped my truck off to have a transmission fluid exchange. The manager, Gary, had called me back within the hour to let me know that is was not needed. I appreciated the honesty.
Would neber go back. Waited for hours. Had a Groupon. They wanted to charge us $125 for and diagnostic fee
After I have a transmission flush from another auto shop, I keep having transmission problems of my 2005 4-Runner. I took it to the dealer and they told me that I need to replace my transmission and replace engine gasket. It cost about $8000, I took it to Aamco at Webster to rebuild the transmission and fixing all the oil leak problems. It have been 3 months already and my 4-Runner is running pretty good. I will recommend this shop. I also like their policy, 2 weeks after the car being fixed, I can bring it back to them for making sure there is no leak.
Aamco in webster is the best place to get your car checked and serviced.......Mr Gary is a very honest man and very well experienced in this field.... he will give you the right advice and charge you very reasonably......hats off to Aamco for hiring the best of the best.....
Worst car care experience in my life. Dont waste your time or your money. Weve been dealing with them for four weeks now and my transmission, which they supposedly rebuilt, is still leaking fluid. Horrible customer service, craftsmanship, and absolutely no quality to their services
Long story short, I did not have a good experience. It took them all day to decide my problem was my transmission and it was going to cost $865 for labor and anywhere from $1500. To $4000. for transmission rebuild.I took it to another shop the next day and in less than 15 minutes he determined it wasnt my transmission, but my wheel bearing. Cost me a little less than 200.It is horrible that they tried to take advantage of people like that.
After I replaced the compressor on my car I needed someone to evacuate the system and recharge the AC. They had the best price I could find and did a thorough job getting the lines cleared of debris before charging the AC. Very pleased with this shop and the work they did.
