Highly recommend Ash Automotive. I took my 2009 F-150 to a different mechanic to have the motor replaced and it sat in their parking lot for over a month because they were “ too busy and backed up “. After countless days up checking up on the truck just to be told they haven’t even started yet my buddies recommended that I call Ash to see if he would be able to do this motor swap. so I called ash automotive to see if they could do the job and he assured me he could have it done in a week. I had the truck towed to his shop and sure enough the following week the truck was finished with a fresh motor and was back on the road. They even noticed missing bolts here and there and threw some in and tightened stuff down for me. They do great work. I’ve always been the kind of guy that does his own repairs but a motor swap was out of my comfort zone and I’ve always been sketched out by mechanics but these guys knocked it out of the park and restored my faith in mechanics. No upselling, and no bs. Did exactly what I wanted them to do. Will definitely be bringing my cars here for any big jobs I don’t have time to do myself.

This guy doesnt respect his customers from my experience. Dont know if all these other reviewers are paid off or but I got a bad vibe from my recent first visit here. First off, theres 0 precautions being taken for the ongoing pandemic, my job really isnt any more glorious then that of a mechanics - probably less so honestly, but we have to take them at our job, doesnt seem like the guy running this place wants to put any effort in in that regard . Second, asked a few questions regarding the repairwork and he wasnt all that transparent, and there definitely seems like theres some shady upselling going on. I know times are rough, so maybe theyre desperate and engaging in some shadier business tactics now, but the utter lack of professionalism makes me want to go elsewhere next time. Wont be back.

I was months trying to fix my brakes and other things. We came here for an estimate. They checked and drove the car and fortunately were able to fix my car the same day in two hours. The price was ok, not too expensive, but too cheap comparing to other places.

I recently moved to the Houston Area and immediately upon arrival in the area I had issues with my vehicle. It’s a foreign vehicle and the local dealership couldn’t see me until about a week later! Ash was recommended highly by the locals and I can see why. He and his team immediately diagnosed my problem and solved it! I was able to go to Uber to work on Monday and pick it up on lunch. He was extremely hospitable and I’ll be returning back to him for all my car related needs. I’d give him 10 stars if I could!!

I had a weird clicking sound suddenly coming from my driver wheel. Ash was the only place open in the area and said I could come in right away and they would look. Turned out to just be a piece of wire that got stuck, but they drove it, put it on the rack, and got the wire out, and didn’t charge me a dime for their any of it. Knowledgeable mechanics and nice!

I was recommended by a friend to Ash Automotive and the experience was unprofessional and horrible. Ash had my vehicle for over two weeks without being looked at. I was very patient because he informed me that he very behind and under staffed. Well he thought he found the problem with my vehicle and fixed it. Well four days later my wife had the same issue with the car. We paid over $500 for the repairs. As anyone would be, it was frustrating and disappointing. My wife and I took the vehicle back to Asha and with out most respect we told him that the issue was not fixed because it was doing the exact same thing we originally brought it for. Im not sure if he was having a bad, but he refused to look at it because we told him it was not fixed. So he took that very personal and took as if we said he didnt know what he was doing... never once did we say that. Even if we showed Frustration he should of tucked his personal feelings aside. So he just straight up refused to look at it again and fix it. He gave us back our money, but this was extremely unprofessional. Never again Mr. Ash and as someone who lives in the neighborhood you will not be getting recommendations from me. We took the car to the Honda dealership and found out it was the starter the whole time. So now a big company is getting my money instead of a small business. Sad.

Ive known the owners for over 20 years now. They are kind, generous and very caring people. Mr. Ash, his crew and his family are always right there when you need them and are always trying to help the customer not their own wallets. I would not hesitate to leave my car with them for any reason. Also if you want a speedy turn around on an oil-change or inspection, go right when they open!

My daughter and I were driving in from Louisiana when my car started having issues. The car stopped in Baytown, TX on a Thursday. I found a place to park the car as I had to get to Houston by a certain time and I was discourage led about my car. Friday I called around to shops in Baytown to see if someone could take a look at it and no one could because of the kind of car it was. Then someone recommended me to Ash. That was the best recommendation I could have gotten. Ash got my car and figured it out. His staff were so very patient with me and very professional. I will definitely recommend them. Very trustworthy mechanic. Theyve always given me reasonable repair or service options any time I go in, rather than always claiming that that some expensive part needs to be replaced. Ive gone to ash for all my auto needs for years, and will continue bringing all my vehicles here.

Had been there customer for quite sometime and came trusted them. On one of the services, I was told that oilpan under for my van (Toyota Sienna 2009) needs an urgent replacement. So I said OK and the bill was $370 which I paid. Guess what? There own mechanic said.. There was need unless the oil had seen leaking. It had never leaked before as I could have seen spots in my garage. Never again.

He told me one price and he kept it honest and he fixed it super simple very happy with both results

Awesome experience. Took my car in to have it lowered and rear wheels widened. When I arrived I explained I had an oil catch can to be installed which was not apart of the original request. Ash explained they couldnt get it done till Ravi or Kneehl came in. When I arrived to get my car, Kneehl came in whilst not feeling well and got my catch can installed. There was no extra cost for this. What a great shop and a great group of guys. Ill continue to have Ashs shop modify and maintain my vehicle. Thanks guys!

Best auto mechanic around! Ive been going to Ash (and now his son) for 20+ years now... He will not fix it if its not needed and wont make you pay unless he deems it worthy enough of a job to pay for. The only tough part is now hes too popular that you will need to make advance appointments! But wouldnt change a thing.

I brought myNissan in for a SIMPLE wheel bearing and ball joint fix, i already had new parts, they gave the car back with the ball joint popping in and out of socket, wheel bearing still making noise, and my ac was over charged for some reason. I feel these guys are scamming certain people this was my 1st and last time to go there. Rats if you ask me.If you need a actual mechanic try Beamer automotive I decided to go with Ash because the location was closer. Never again.

Had an issue with the A/C in my car. Took it to a reputed auto repair shop. Unfortunately, their estimates for the repairs kept going up. Had already spent upwards of $300 on the diagnosis. They said that the connector switch and the pressure relief valve (PRV) had to be replaced, another $400+. Called Ash and described the problem to him. He asked me to come over right away. Glad that I heeded his advice. He fixed the problem (and incidentally, it had nothing to do with either the connector switch or the PRV).I have become a fan of Ash and his team. They are very courteous and honest and provide wonderful customer service. They have definitely earned a lifetime customer.

It seems redundant at this point to leave Ash any more good reviews - it seems pretty obvious that hes a stand up dude and runs a legit business. That being said, Ive never had a warranty on my vehicle before and didnt realize that I was supposed to check in with them first before getting any major repairs on my vehicle if I wanted them to pay for it. Ash spent about 20 minutes on the phone with them to get my repairs reimbursed, which apparently is basically unheard of. Ive been going here for everything from oil changes to major repairs on 2 different vehicles for almost 3 years now and I have had nothing but positive experiences.

Mr. Ashs staff found out in a 5 min test drive what other shops hadnt been able to figure out and took care of it immediately while I was waiting and at a reasonable cost. Note that the word is out on Mr. Ashs place so your chances of getting in without an appointment are slim.

Probably shouldnt act like a jerk to a customer that just paid you $6000.00 ------and its still overheating ----but you ask me to pay $155.00 when it has less than 100 miles since your repair -----the coolant hose you took off is spraying coolant all over my driveway …….. thanks for fixing it and blaming it on me ----YOU TOOK IT OFF AND PUT IT BACK ON --NOW ITS LEAKING AND YOU ASK FOR MORE MONEY ….the fact that you tore up the bill and asked the 20 year customer of yours not to come back doesnt change the facts …. you diagnosed and charged $1300 to fix the problem the first time .. we came back and paid another $6000.00 to fix the problem you diagnosed,,,,,,, nobody likes a 1 star review and nobody likes some arrogant mechanic calling names etc trying to charge for incomplete and inproper check out ------it was almost a gallon low of coolant . ---less than 100 miles from your businesss …..-update ---------this guy is a liar ---he is making excuses for his rude name calling and not stating the facts -----fact one you didnt catch the hose leak the first time and charged 1500 for a repair that was not needed ------FACT 2 ---U SAID you think the hose was chewed by a rat ---the insurance inspected it twice and they said definitely NOT ----IT WAS A HEADGASKET -WE GAVE YOU 6000.oo -----with in 100 miles the coolant was a gallon low --the fact that your guy either broke it or didnt clamp it back right was not such a big deal --THE FACT THAT YOU ACTED LIKE A D--BAG and wanted to charge for this water hose you took off was the problem ---I paid the bill the owner was the 20 year customer you apparently dont need,,,,

Its sad you cant trust auto shops anymore. But this is one place that I know i will get honest answers, price and quality work. I drive from Mont Belvieu to get my wifes Toyota Sequoia worked on. The guys up front are busy but you can joke with them.Now for the guy that had an appointment and showed up to be told they were short on personnel. Thats life man, mechanics are not robots. They get sick and have families to.

After all the positive reviews, very disappointing. First available appointment was one week out. Scheduled it. Left our information including a contact number. Got there at 8am only to be told that they were short of personnel and we would have to come back the following week. The lack of courtesy and concern for our time makes me uncomfortable about leaving my vehicle with this sort of business, so no thanks. Ill go somewhere else.

A Really Honest Mechanic. I always go to Ash because Ive seen how they treat people so honestly. I was there once for a repair and the owner was talking to a lady who had brought her car in because it was making all sorts of noise under the hood. He explained that it was just a shopping bag caught near the fan belt, only a nominal charge (I think $25). I brought my car in recently to deal with a check engine light. Turned out to be a loose sensor cable; no charge. He could have had me for a couple hundred bucks and I would never have known.
