Super impressed. Having used another chain for many years I was not happy with their local branch at all.Switched to NTB and usually deal with Art. He’s great. He always calls to discuss any additional work that might be needed and takes time to explain what is involved. They even solved a small problem that the other company quoted $1,500 to repair.

Top class service, great communication, patient and more over there are smart technicians to fix the problem and affordable price.

Let me begin by saying that I initially had great experience with this NTB. I’m typically not one to complain of leave a review, however, recently this NTB has just not been up to par.I recently schedule an oil change (which is supposed to include a tire rotation according to their website). When I went to pick up my car, I noticed my tires hadn’t been rotated. I asked the individual at the desk if it was included and they said yes. I then questioned why my tires were not rotated and the response I received was “you didn’t ask for it when you dropped it off”. I needed my tires rotated so I asked what needed to be done to make that happen. They said bring it back first thing the next morning and they would make sure it was taken care of immediately. So I showed up the next morning only to find out no one was aware of the issue, no one was there to rotate my tires, and it would be a few hours before it would be finished.Now today, I had an appointment scheduled to conduct an inspection and change my tire pressure sensor. I made this appointment earlier this week. I showed up this morning only to find out that the only individual who could conduct the inspection had called in sick. My only gripe about this situation is that a phone call would have been nice before I dragged my wife out of bed to follow me and bring me back home.Overall, if you’re looking for a country wide franchise to get the job done…sure…this place will probably do it. My recommendation is to find a different place if you have the ability.

We drove here from Texas, pulling a trailer to pick up a vintage car we bought and had a blowout on our way back out of town. This NTB was the closest tire shop, so we dropped in & they bent over backwards to get our new tires on our trailer & us back out on the road. They were obviously very busy, but helped us quickly & efficiently. I highly recommend their services.

I usually have a decent experience here but today it took over 2 hours to do an oil change and I waited an additional 20 minutes for someone to simply back the car out of the garage. They also didn’t have the ability to do an alignment check which is half the reason I come here (I purchased the alignment package with my tires).I always mark my tires to make sure they are actually rotated. And sure enough my tires were put back on without being rotated (this is the second time this has happened at an NTB location). They took another 10 minutes to remount the tires.Overall pretty terrible service and an absurd wait time.

Extremely Helpful Service. Art and his team went out of their way to be help me with a tire warranty (not purchased from them originally) and I had them install 4x new Michelins. While waiting, I also heard Art go above and beyond with many other customers, to help them get what they needed based on their budget concerns. This is my new tire place going forward.

Terrible place charged me premium oil when I specifically told to get regular oil! 65$ for a oil change!

Im trying to change my mind. When I pulled out my tire last week because my car had a flat tire, I found out that you had spoiled the hub stud on my car tire. All I want to say to you is that youll have to let the tires out so you wont have to give the studs a lot of power until theyre broken. Just in case, I tried to untie the nut on the other tire that you repaired, and you created the same situation. I cant take the nut out. Its awesome. I have to ride without replace tire until change car.

Scott and Art are always a pleasure to work with. I have been bringing my vehicles to them for years and they never disappoint. They close at 6 pm and still pulled my truck back there to change the oil and do a tire rotation even at closing time.

Very pleased with routine maintenance on my BMW X5. Got my appointment online for the next day, dropped of vehicle and it was ready 2 hours later. Very good price, much better then a dealership. I will use them for routine services for all my vehicles. I got a good vibe from the management that they really care about good work.

I needed several small repairs/routine maintenance done on my car. They installed 4 new tires, did an alignment, changed my oil, and replaced some burnt out headlights for me and it took less than 3 hours for them to call and tell me the work was completed. They did a great job (my car has a much better ride now) and were super friendly, polite, helpful, and patient. Plus, Scott did what he could to help me save a little money in the process. I will definitely be returning.

I had an appointment at 10. I needed a simple oil change, should have taken 20 minutes tops. For some reason though, NTB felt it needed an hour and 40 minutes to change it. Wasn’t cheap but I know I definitely wasn’t paying for convience.

Had to take my car in unexpectedly due to getting a huge bolt in my tire.Scott the manager was awesome when I called. He told me to come right in, they fixed the tire and did some other work on the car I had been putting off without complaint.They gave me an honest to do list of what’s needed next.Great experience!

Scott and Art at NTB in Apex has been great. They saved us thousands of dollars. We have a 2016 Honda Odyssey that had to get some work done on it. They told me that the work that had to be completed should be covered by are Honda warranty. They tell you what is need at the time and other items that can be fixed in the future. I recommend highly going there to get your car fixed and regular maintenance done.

Scott needs to be trained in customer service. Worst worst worst. Guys you can get better prices and CUSTOMER SERVICE.. from elsewhere than this location. He was rude and zero sense of customer service and this was my first time walking into the doors of that place. Other ntb locations have better people than SCOTT.

Scott has always looked out for me! He recently diagnosed a check engine light and told me the issue should be covered under warranty and to make sure the manufacturer honors that! So thankful he was honest and notified me to make sure I got the issue taken care of and didn’t try take advantage and get money for fixing an issue. Thank you

Visited twice. Best place ever for tires, inspections and oil changes!First time I had a nail in my tire. Turns out the nail didn’t puncture the tube. They checked all the tires to make sure I didn’t pick up more. No charge! I felt like I should pay for their time but they insisted no work, no pay.Second time was for oil change and inspection. They took the time to explain everything including the differences between oils and they were very nice.You can’t go wrong choosing NTB!

I was a new customer to NTB and as a woman I always hate having to deal with car things, because its no lie women tend to be treated a little differently when going in for car repairs, and service. I walked in and greeted with a very warm smile and greeting from the service manager Tara. She was very professional, knowledgeable and kind. She promised that she would be honest with me and what needed to be done and would explain exactly why! The store manager Scott came out and introduced himself and asked how my visit was going. I received fast, friendly and professional service and I can assure you I will return and will refer everyone I know to NTB and to Tara! Its wonderful to walk in and see a woman helping!

I went with my boyfriend a couple days ago to drop his car off for an oil change and an alignment and tire rotation. I was so surprised to see a female service manager there, I have always been skeptical about repair shops because I dont know much about cars and have been taken advantage of before. I made mention of that to tara the service manager and she assured me that she would always be honest and that Scott the other manager was honest as well along with the rest of the staff. She said she was new to the store but I couldnt tell by the way she handled things. She was very experienced and got us signed in right away and was extremely nice and professional. She was very attentive to our concerns and before we picked his car up she gave us a call and said they had found a few things in the free inspection they did on his car. She explained in detail and had a price quote for us over the phone. We wanted to thank all of staff for a great job and great work quality. It was finished in a very reasonable time, he has been there before and now seeing how things are done and with such a great manager I will be taking my car there too, as well as recommending my mother to take hers. We will also be recommending NTB to all our friends and family. Thanks again NTB STAFF, and a special THANKS to Tara, you were amazing!

Recently visited to have service done. Been here many times before not always completely satisfied but it is close and convenient.The new shop manager there Tara was extremely helpful and very nice. She was very busy but still made time to have a short conversation which made me feel very welcome and that my business was appreciated. She is very knowledgeable and great with customers. As long as she is there I will definitely be bringing my vehicles there for service.

Good service, fair prices. Wait times comprable.Edit: Came in recently and there was a moderate wait. But when I found myself one quarter short of enough money for a Coke from the vending machine, the head mechanic gave me one of his own so I could get a drink. Thats the kind of service that should be seen everywhere, but I have seldom seen. This business gets a rare fifth star from me.

Probably my new tire and oil location. I had a very busy day and originally had a coupon for a competing company and had accidentally went to the wrong store and ended up here at NTB. Instead of him telling me to go to that other business and get my discount elsewhere, they were so kind and said they would match the price along with giving me a tire rotation! They were very speedy, courteous and honest. Defiantly went above and beyond and on this very busy day I’m having I’m incredibly grateful!!

The service and the wait for my car was absolutely incompetent and unforgivable. I waited 4 hours to have a switch replaced to repair my brake lights. I was told a part had to be brought in, but I was not informed of how long it would take or given the option to come back at a better time. Instead I was made to wait 4 hours until I finally got my car. Again, this is totally incompetent and inexcusable.

Wonderful experience. Art Patterson went above and beyond to give me all options for tires. Answered all my questions and gave me great advice on my tire purchase.

After spending months and months getting different things fixed on my car to pass inspection, I take it to this place expecting it to be a quick pass and go. Of course this place finds something wrong with all of my tires that have less than 30K miles on them. Do not take you car to this place for an inspection or any service unless you are willing to pay more money than you have. All my tires have more than enough tread or at least the penny I used says they do, but yet I need to replace all four of my tires to pass inspection. And with the Would you like to let us take care of that for you because we want to bleed another 500 dollars out of this 30 dollar inspection I will never set foot in this place or any other Merchant Tire again.

Own a landscaping company with numerous trucks and trailers. These guys take care of all of my tire needs...replacement, repairs etc. Highly recommend. Quick turn around and great prices too.

This is worst place to have service for your tires, any time you go for free tire rotation and balancing they call you back about having issues with cupping issues on tire due to poor shocks, within 15 days he has said same thing about my both cars and then they dont give you tire replacements even under warranty unless you pay for shocks replaced, this is the biggest scam they are running at this place, as took my car to different place for check up and they said shocks are fine but tires were defective.I will complain to Corporate office regarding this and I would not recommend this to anyone.

I got some service last year. Noticed the price was 25-30% more expensive than that of dealer at the same time before dealer coupon. Synthetic oil change for 6 gallon vehicle cost $86 before tax, other major service service quote followed the same trend. Go to your dealer if you want to save money.I looked at the reviews at the company website. the reviews were really good. Only they would not post any not so good review there, I tried.

I have been to this location several times. Tara, the service manager is an absolute delight. She goes above and beyond to help and educate. I will continue to visit this location because of the exceptional service.

The best shop in town! Easy to work with front staff, especially DJ and Scott. Mechanics are extremely friendly too. If waiting, there is free coffee and working TV.

I was visiting from out of town and had to replace 1 tire on my car and found their service was excellent and professional.

Been here several times for oil change and tire rotation also once for tire repair. Never had any problems. People are always nice. I call ahead to be sure they can get me in and never have to wait to get the car taken back. Their time estimates on completion are accurate.They make recommendations when they see something amiss but have never been pushy about it.

Top notch customer service! I even made a point to find the names of the gentlemen that helped me, Scott and Floyd. These guys were very knowledgable and fixed all the issues on my work van! Just blown away with the level of customer service I recieved. Wish I could convince these guys to work for me but then Id have to find someone else to do the work on my van

I bought my last set of tires there. My car has run flats and I looked all over for a good deal. I finally found a decent price at an online store, but NTB beat their price. In addition, I called on a Tuesday and was able to get my tires installed on Thursday of the same week, even though they had to special order the tires. Great service and great price!

Ive been going there since I moved here in 2009. They been through mangers but one the remains the same and that is the work is consistently good. They stand nby there work and I have no problem with them. I recommend people there all the time.

I give this place 5 stars because of one person, Scott. He is professional and genuinely looks out for the best interest of the customer.He understands the customers needs and tries to find the best and economical option for them.

Scott the Gm is phenomenal. Art on the other hand will try his very very best to rip you off and will be rude while doing it. Do you want tires put in or not... he comes to give me the quote after the car is on the lift with the old tires off. Never met anyone like him. If you go to this NtB be sure to work with Scott only and avoid Art at all costs.

Scheduled an inspection appointment for 2pm and arrived on time. Car hadnt moved from where I parked it 45 minutes later, so I left to go to another shop. Why take appointments if youre not going to abide by them? Unsatisfactory.

Made an appointment online to have mine and my wifes oil changed only to get a call back stating they could not honor the times available online. Stating there was only 2 people working and wanted me to bring one car in at 11am and one at 3pm, hours later. Pure laziness. I used to go to the one in Fuquay but since Fuquay was bad I decided to go to Apex. They are no different. I am finished with NTB.Update: They have changed alot and I am very satisfied with their services. Art and his staff are awesome!

I had read few reviews here before going in for oil change. They took two hours to do oil change, but Manager felt I should not be charged for such a delayed service. Nice of them to acknowledge at least and waive charges. Though I thought it is pretty rare.They said they rotated tires and checked the tire pressure. But they lied. How did I notice, I have different set of tires in front & back. I would think twice next time to do any service here.

I waited TWO and HALF hours for changing four tires

Went in for an oil change and tire rotation which was my first visit here. Customer service and wait time were no problems however I ended up having to go back on two separate occasions to fix basic issues that never should have come up. The day after the oil change, my tire light came on...after going back in, it turns out that my tire pressure was never checked and I had one tire at 20 psi and the others in the low 20s (I always keep them at around 32-33 psi so I dont know how they deflated that much). Two day later I noticed oil leaking (in the garage of my brand new house) and after going back, it turns out they didnt tighten something enough which caused the leak. Not only do I now have to clean my garage and driveway of oil, but had to take time off work and go back on two separate occasions to fix things that never should have been an issue. I will not be returning.

This place will rip you off. They just charged my mom $90 for an oil change!!! Its outrageous. They overcharge drastically and dont even know what theyre talking about. Horrible customer service. This place is terrible. NEVER going back and telling everyone I know to avoid this place. We usually pay $40 for an oil change. Not $90. Its insane.

At the end of the month I needed a state inspection ASAP and Art kindly helped me get it done fast. Out of 4 other surrounding shops, NTB was the only one that took a walk in without a 4 hour wait. As a bonus, they also had a comfortable waiting room, a stocked and clean K-cup coffee machine, a good magazine, and a big screen TV! I was done and on my way in less than 30 minutes.Great job NTB!

The best!!!! I have been going to NTB/Merchamts over 20+ years, but no one provides the very BEST SERVICE like the APEX, NC STORE. They are honest, courteous, and professional and friendly. Unlike many other auto businesses they dont try to sell you services that are not required. While the entire staff is great, compliments and gratitude go out SCOTT and Art. Updated July 2018. Not very helpful. I was asking questions on how to order rims and they kept ushering to a big screen computer to see what rims I wanted I already knew what rims I wanted but I had to use their computer because they are not be able too look stuff up obviously they dont want my money so Im going elsewhere. its not hard to look up parts online or call someone to make a sale happen.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. My family and I stopped here on the way out of town when we realized we had a nail in our tire. They refused to help us and were quite rude. Luckily we were able to go next door and get help elsewhere. I will never return.

By far the most respectful, informative and staff. The manager is a champ. This is my go to car place now.

The NTB team went above and beyond to help me with both my and my wifes vehicles, when I had some tight deadlines for trips. They addressed issues with tires, brakes, and inspections quickly and professionally. I look forward to working with them in the future to address our vehicle needs.

I decided to get my cars serviced here vs going to the dealer. It was a simple mount and balance new tires ordered from tire rack on both cars. 1st car was a 2001 325, it was changed without incident. The 2nd car was a 2013 335, they decided that they needed to take this car out for a 20+ mile test drive. When they came back I looked on the computer consumption history and it was clearly driving very aggressively.The store could not explain why my 2001 did not require a test drive but my 2013 car did, other than we needed to make sure the car was driving fine. The store owner/manager was not there I requested a call. It been over 2 week and I havent been able to reach the owner/manager or get a call back.Needless to say I will no longer be doing business with any Merchants Tire and Auto.

STAY AWAY!!! They always find something else wrong with the car, resulting in hundreds of dollars of unnecessary repairs. Weve had two cars missing lug nuts after a service. Conveniently, they offer to replace it for $15. I would love to find others whove had missing lug nuts after visiting Merchants in Apex.

Horrible service and dont stay true too the warranties. We bought tires and they are junk after 6 months. They say its our fault and wont warranty them want us too buy another set of tires. They screwed up the alignment which made the tire wear out quickly. The info they took on our car was wrong not even the same vehicle. Will never go back and never tell anyone else to go here.

I had an emergency oil change needed and Firestones all over Cary and Apex couldnt help out with a walk in. It wasnt until I called Art at NTB that my situation was taken care of. He got me in and out in under and hour and back on the road for business.People like Art are the reason businesses have returning customers. Give that man a raise and whatever else he needs.10/10

Came in at 7:45 PM on a Thurday with a nail in the wifes tire and they had me patched, balanced, paid and out in 10 minutes. Friendly, fast service and really nice guys.

Technically, this location is ok.This is the third time I have had to clean my leather interior because of dirty clothing putting tire-shop grime into the car. I even cover the seats, and they managed to mess up the arm rests.The clincher today was unauthorized rummaging thru my glove box. Left stains on the glove box. Scattered CDs under passenger seat, and disconnected the box damper so that it would not close properly.All that was so they could charge me $95 labor to change a filter that I didnt ask them to check.I will move the remaining prepaid tire and alignment service to another shop.Take a photo of your car before dropping it off.

I have a 2007 Chevy, never have I had brake squeal. I took the truck in for replacement rear brake pads. They replace pads and a rotor. Now my brakes squeal loudly. I took it back to a different location and they confirmed that the squeal was coming from the side with the new rotor (and pad). They took it off, greased everything, still squeals. I took it back to the Apex location. They replaced the pads, still squeals. They say I have a different problem, nothing they can do. So, a 2007 truck that has never had brake squeal, suddenly does, after your brake job, but the squeal is not caused by your work? Im done with this place and places like it. I would rather pay more to a real mechanic. It is a simple brake job; how do you screw that up?

Ordered tires from Amazon and brought them here for installation. All went well. Two months later, no issues with anything so far.

Brought my mint Mazda B2300 pickup AKA panty dropper In for an alignment and state inspection,service was great they took my truck in right away and started working while they worked on my brodozier I was in the lobby watching burn notice and drinking all theyre coffee,which by the way was good, very good selection of coffee and teas, I also tool a gander at theyre restrooms which were clean and fully stocked with toilet paper which is great because coffee runs through me faster then mustang owners buying tickets to a luke Bryan concert,that being said I was very satisfied with the service on my truck and would come back again. P.S you can sit outside and watch MR.TIRE be empty, ghost town over there
