I called today to ask if they accepted my insurance and they could not answer me that over the phone. They wanted to schedule the appointment and check my insurance once I came in. My thing is why would someone take the time out of their already busy schedule to go all the way there if theyre not sure if this place takes their insurance. Id have to question why youd ask people to do that. Seems like a way to get them in the door and well theyre already there so might as well pay cash. Obviously there is no sense of quality customer/client service.

I was given a thorough exam. Everyone was professional, kind, courteous, and knew what he/she was doing. I have had many eye exams in my 92 years, and this one was excellent. No one tried to sell me something that I did not need. I have no photo to share.

Initial exam and order went really well and without appointment. I felt the virtual exam was unique, professional, and a great solution for modern times. I opted for the most affordable deal at 59.95 including 2pairs glasses and exam and thats exactly what I received and paid. The glasses were ready before the estimated date, notified via text msg and verified easily through website. Upon pickup, different staff had less customer service but remained professional. 5 stars for affordable, relatively quick updated prescription.

DO NOT COME HERE. 1: The “free” eye exam cost 70 dollars, so don’t be fooled. 2: They don’t have name brand frames (that doesn’t mean much, but when they charge name brand prices for no name brands that’s scummy). 3: I spent 450 dollars on glasses and for the first time in my life since childhood they couldn’t have glasses made in 24 hours. And one pair took over a week to be made. 4: They are also the first glasses company to not call or text me when my glasses are ready. Idk what company makes it the customers job to check up on their purchase. All of this could be forgiven with a nice staff, they are average. They aren’t overly helpful but they aren’t rude. I’ve been to friendlier optometrist elsewhere. Save your money.

This place is terrible. I spoke this morning with a staff member over phone. She set me up for an appointment today at 2:45 pm. I use the public transportation to get around. Now I left early due to transit routes and time. So I get here and no doctor is present. The exam is to b done with a tel what the hell? They had ample time to inform me and patient next in line.Thanks! this is definitely dishonest business. This definitely was not a mistake. Yes will take my money elsewhere. Here I sit at bus bench in this Texas heat at 1:50 pm on my way back home.

I’m so glad this place was able to fit all my needs. I not only got a really cute pair of eyeglasses I had great customer experience and was able to get an exam which I haven’t had in two years. It was all super affordable I recommend this place it’s a 10/10.

I came out here from alb NM. I lost my glasses in the ocean and my one pair of contacts I brought with ripped. After calling every place in town without any luck I stopped by to see if I could buy contacts from Stanton. They only carry trial pairs but the lady at the front counter was so nice and gave me a pair for free. Thank you so much Stanton and super nice lady at the counter!!

Spoke with stanton by phone. I was interested in contacts. They said come on in and you will bw able to see better after your visit. They said they would have a free trial of contacts for me today. But they did not I was given the excuse that its been busy and they are having I hard time getting stock. Told me I see better after visit...but that did not happen.Not to mention took forever due to I guess being short staffes... people running around like chickens with their heads cut off.I do not recommend this place.

I went in for an eye exam and when you initially get called in for the first part of the exam, I felt as I was treated as just another number. The young lady doing the initial part of the exam seemed more interested in her personal conversation she was having out loud with a co-worker and in between was instructing me on what to do. She didnt bother explaining anything as if she just wanted to get me in and out. The woman that assisted me with my order for the glasses I was purchasing was the only one that explained things really well. When it came to picking up my glasses, I was even called to inform me that the glasses were ready to be picked up. If it werent for me checking online, who knows how long they would have sat there. When I did go in, the guy at the back counter who handed me my glasses was of no help at all. He literally handed me the glasses and stared at me looking annoyed as I was trying the glasses on. I asked him if he could assist me to see how he could adjust them from the back part that goes above the ear and he literally shrugged his shoulders like what did I expect him to do. When I asked him to get someone else to help me, he simply said there was no one else that could help and just laughed. When I asked for the manager, he said she was at lunch. I ended up leaving and called and spoke with a patient coordinator who in turn was supposed to relay my message to the manager for a return call, and of course, I heard crickets. They need to hire professional staff that is ready to work. Body language, appearance and attitude tell it all. Needless to say, due to horrible customer service, I will not be returning to Stanton Optical and have advised friends and family to do the same. This was my first time purchasing glasses and it was a very unpleasant experience. -0- Rating is what I would rate this place. Dont waste your time and money at this place.

Called to see if they accepted my insurance. Julio said that I would have to come in with my insurance card and ID before they could tell me. I told him it is an hour drive and I would like to know upfront if they accept it. He said they have an insurance expert on site that would go over my benefits with me if they dont accept my insurance to see what they could do for me so that my drive wouldnt be for nothing. I told him that is not reassuring because if they dont accept my insurance there is no point in my driving an hour. He was not able to help me so I have decided to go elsewhere.

I would give them a zero if I could... one of the worst places I been in Corpus. This place is horrible, first they schedule you with Dr even there on site. Then they make you wait forever to make you come the next day to do it all over again. I was then told that they were low on stock on the frames on special but was expecting more next week. So I decided to wait till they got more in stock to be told the eye exam isnt actually free after waiting over two hrs for a 5 minute minimal examination. They actually expect me to pay for examination unless I bought glasses the same day only, which no one disclosed in advance. I will not be going back after the treatment I recieved from the long haired Mgr that was to prissy to treat customers right. She super disrespectful and she doesnt even acknowledge customers and if you try to approach her she acts annoyed that she has to to be bothered with a conversation with you, when she obviously is to busy looking at something on her cellphone to treat you like a human being. Just awful!!! The only nice thing I can say is the staff seemed nice. Needless to say I walked out and refused to Pay for something I was told was free. I will not tolerate being treated this way.

Horrible service. I went to this place for a contact exam. First, I have never been somewhere, that they tell you they cannot look up your insurance. After a while, the young lady told me she had found it. So into the exam I go. After, we went to discuss the insurance coverage and payment. She proceeded to tell me my insurance would only cover a percent of the exam. I told her no, it covers the whole exam and $200 towards the purchase of contacts. As we spoke, I received a text from the company telling me who my insurance was with. She replied oh, we dont take that insurance. This after telling me she HAD found my insurance. I had already taken the exam so I had to pay $75 to get a copy. I took my business elsewhere....

My son broke his glasses and I went in to get another pair. They didn’t have them in stock said they would order them and it would be two weeks. It’s been two weeks never got a phone call. So I call the store and they have no idea and don’t see an order placed. They asked who I talked to like it matters. The should have just owned up and order them and then I got hung up on. Now I have to find time to go into the store when I work 6 days a week.

Well... I cant talk too bad about their customer service. However, I have insurance and they used to be in-network. Every time I came in, they asked if I was using my insurance and checked my benefits. Not this time... they just took me in, went through the whole process, to later find out theyre out-of-network and I had to pay full price for an exam. I mean... if they wouldve just asked and ran my benefits from the start, I wouldnt have spent the time at a place that doesnt accept the insurance I spend my hard earned money on. Yall make sure and have them check your benefits before they run you through the whole gambit and you end up paying full price for something thats covered by your insurance. Needless to say, Im not going back. Lol.

Nothing is free here. Not even the eye exam. First time getting glasses. Wanted to do that 2 pair of glasses + free eye exam for as low as $59 deal. Well that didnt happen. When I got there, they dont take BCBS insurance. So they tried to sweet talk me into getting glasses. None of their glasses are affordable and if you want transitions, its considered an add on. So the free exam and 1 pair of glasses with add ons came out to $200. Nope! I just paid $25 for the exam and I left. Not persuading me to buy something thats falsely advertised!

This place never fail at doing a terrible job when filling my prescription, the only reason I went back was for the buy one 2nd pair half price. So my 2nd pair lens was too small, and then when I went to pick them up, they lost them. The 1st pair, the reading focal part was too high so I couldnt see at a distance. And i mentioned it when the lady was making the lens. I told her it seemed too high, and thats the one they had to fix.They said I had 30 days to return them if still not clear... so I retuned both within 3 days. They are ridiculous!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

Came here for a few years and never had any problems. I decided to get contacts and everything went well and was cheaper than getting my glasses. I went to pick them up ( my first time getting contacts ) they didn’t provide solution for my contacts or a contacts case. Just gave me my 6 months worth and told me that was it. I still don’t know how to properly put in my contacts and when I asked for solution they told me they ran out of the big bottle and gave me a small one that probably won’t last me a week. I had to go to Walmart and buy a case and solution which I ended up spending more money on. Very upset and won’t be going back again.

The only reason I put a 2 is because I got my glasses back the same day. I got frames and lens in Dec. 2020 my frames were priced at 159 and then whatever it was for my lenses, the only sale they had going was bogo. I walked out paying 131 for both that was my total price and I was like wow thats awesome great price less than what my frames even cost alone. Went in yesterday to get new lenses only and they charged 144 dollars. So they will rip you off. If my lenses are 50 dollars the first time they should be the second time they dont just jump up 100 bucks in 3 months.

Horrible place to get glasses. Everyone that goes in gets glasses...scam. They just want your money. First time getting a virtual eye exam and was not pleased with it at all. Went back to get my glasses a week later and I couldnt even see out of them they were so wrong. They wanted me to sit for another hour to get reexamined for glasses then have to wait another week for glasses. Lol no thanks. So they wouldnt give me a refund for the first exam that was wrong because I wanted to go else where. So they stole my money. $59.00 now I have to go somewhere else. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. When I first called before I set an appointment I made sure to ask if they accept our insurance which is Tricare. They said “yes of course”, so I went ahead and booked an appointment. Here we are a week later... we show up and they tell me “oh no, the call center tells that to people all the time but we are not in network but we do offer discounts”. (Meaning they lie to people all the time about what insurance they accept only to waste people’s time by going down there and telling them they don’t accept it). My son really needs glasses so I agreed to keep the appointment for the discounted price. On top of dealing with the first mishap, our appointment was set for 1:05pm, and they waited 30 minutes to tell us that the eye doctor was STILL out to lunch and we would need to wait ANOTHER 20-30 minutes for the Dr. to get back! What’s the use of an appointment then? They should have never booked us during the Dr.’s lunch hour especially when we were going to have to essentially wait an hour to be seen. I cancelled my appointment and left very upset as would anyone. They are so unorganized and unprofessional, The customer service wasn’t the best. There was only one young man that was actually nice. I will never go back and I will never recommend this place to anyone.

If I could give no stars I would I called set an optical and Corpus Christi Texas for some information about a past information with my sons glasses that he had purchased from Stanton, the person would not do anything but continuously talk and tried to get me to make an appointment he did not care about my question whatsoever and refuse to give me any information not because I was asking for information that was illegal for him to answer it was because all he was interested in was scheduling the appointment. I couldnt get in a word edgewise. Very very poor customer service. They have absolutely no interest in you at all! If he would have just answered my question I would have scheduled an eye exam appointment for my son! These people that answer their phone are trained to not let you speak I had to actually yell into the phone to get the guy to actually stop talking he would not stop saying his program speech. Stanton optical needs to become a little more personalized to their customers caring about their customers.

No one is ever available to answer the phone. It took almost 3 months to get my glasses. When I did finally get them it looks like part of the film from. The transition linse is lifting or something. Now iv tried for days to get a hold of someone to bring them in to be fixed but no one answers the phone. When I do get a hold of someone ill most likely have to leave my glasses for several days wile I wait to get them repaired. They were quick to get me in for an eye exam and take my money but now dont seem to care if I have a problem with my glasses. I will never use the company again. Go to Bay area vision. My original glasses I bought from here sat crooked on my face it seeing as how I didn’t have another pair at the time I decided to just deal with it and order contacts later. I have since ordered the contacts and they have been delayed now twice and I’ve called to check the status and I’ve been hung up on now TWICE! The third person to help me basically told me all she can see is that it shipped. The in store representatives said it was supposed to be on the next shipment but it would be here today they close at 6:30 and it is not 4:15 I would be in shock if they were able to get a shipment and sort through it in 2 hours

I have had a few unpleasant experiences at Stanton Optical in the past, but my daughter suggested I give Stanton another try. I went online to schedule an appointment and was thrilled to see they had an appointment for 5:50 today (9/18/20). I rushed over to Stanton and walked up to the desk at 5:50 on the dot. The man at the desk saw my appointment but told me they close at 6 and the doctor would be leaving at 6. They refused to honor the appointment that I booked on their website, I even received an email confirmation. Once again Stanton has proved they care nothing about their customers and their precious time.

I have very high expectations and rarely does everything go perfectly. In fact Ive yet to make a purchase at Stanton Optical without incident.HOWEVER, customer service makes ALL the difference. And one person there really stands out. Her name is Cassie. She definitely knows her product, her companys limitations and its capabilities. So because she also exudes excellent customer service, your experience with her expertise at Stanton Optical will be first class!If you like doing business with a good company who employs smart people practicing customer service at its finest, dont hesitate to give Stanton Optical a try.
