This is wonderful doctor with amazing staff! I have been going there for 7 years now, and will continue to go knowing I am in good hands. The doctor is very thorough, and Tiffany his nurse, was so very kind! I cant say enough good about Indigo Vision Center, highly highly recommend!

Optometrist or Marriage Counselor?My wife left Pittsburgh a few days earlier than I to come to our beach house in DeBordieu. She said on the day before my departure: I forgot my contacts. Please remember to bring them. I did not remember. Before I had to tell her, once again, that I forgot, or worse, that I wasnt listening, Graycynne and Kalli at Indigo came to my rescue. A trial box was immediately available and my wife is none the wiser...unless she reads this review! Were spending most of each year in the south and will not go anywhere else for our eye care. Thanks Indigo team!

While on vacation my 5 year old got a corneal abrasion, it of course was after 5:00 and I figured no where would be open and if they were they wouldn’t see a new patient much less a 5 year old. Much to my surprise with only 30 mins until close they told me to head their way! I am so thankful for this doctor and his staff; they quickly saw the problem and got her feeling better and SAVED our trip! He was so good and talking to her and reassuring both of us every step of the way. If you are local this is the place to be!

Broke my glasses this morning. Was in georgetown for a wedding. Went by there office and they fixed my glasses for me and didnt charge me anything.

My first visit was to be a routine eye exam. Dr Johnson conducted a very thorough eye exam and detected what could have been a critical eye condition if not treated quickly. The staff made all the appointments for me with a local eye surgeon and I had my procedures done on both eyes within two weeks. My return visit was just as thorough as the first visit. Dr Johnson took the time to explain everything to me and was concerned that he provide me with several options to allow me the best vision possible. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. I have no hesitation in allowing Dr. Johnson to take care of my entire familys vision and eye care.

First, let me say I was not even a pt of theirs until NOW! Have you ever ran out of contacts & needed a pair ASAP, but even overnight shipping wouldn’t work? Well, me too! These people are amazing! I messaged them, recommendation by Molly Miller, in a panic at 4:30 in the afternoon—30 mins before they closed because I needed some contacts. I was praying they would help me. They were so quick to respond! The following day they gave me A MONTH SUPPLY of contacts without even having a clue who I was! Let me also add that they came to their office on a day that they were CLOSED to meet me because I live an hour away. Y’all, I don’t know what else I can say to prove that these are good people, but SHOUTOUT to the Johnsons at Indigo because y’all saved my life and won me over! I’ll be back and will recommend everyone I know also! Thanks again!

Update:Desk manager called and stated the contacts arrived last week and a text message had gone to daughters father. If thats the case, then why was I told on the phone this morning that they were not there and that Bausch & Lomb stated they would be in this coming week. I do not feel that lying to your customers is any better than poor service. Indigo Vision does both.I dislike writing poor reviews because I understand that every business makes errors but after looking over the other reviews from the past 12 months, I feel that there are repeated instances of poor customer service and that this is not a one time instance.I have not decided wether or not to use them again in the future (most likely not). Advice to owners, you seem to be having a lot of employee issues - may be time to clean house.Initial Review:Spent well over $1500 for the family in there in the last 9 months - New bifocals (Lily Pulitzer frames); replaced lenses on two pairs of glasses; new prescription sunglasses (Maui Jim); weekly contacts and daily contacts.The daily contacts have taken nearly two months - initial order in early October, was told the 1st company could not fulfill astigmatism and it had to be re0rdered which was done in late October. I went in to check on them after two weeks since no one called and the contacts were there for the right eye so I paid for both eyes ($380) and said please call me as soon as the left eye is in (I understand it is taking longer because of the astigmatism) BUT I have been by repeatedly to the store and called repeatedly. I am told they are shipping next week. Ive been told that for over a month. Today I called and said I need a tracking number and I need it today and the person on the phone said they were busy. Ive been in that office every week and they have never been that busy! There are always two women sitting behind the counter staring at their phones.What the h*** am I supposed to do with six months of daily disposable lenses FOR ONE EYE!?!Try to always shop local but tired of being nice.Will never spend another dime there.

Took my grandparents there to get a check up and glasses. The doctor rushed through the exam and asked my grandparents what strength reading glasses they use. That shouldn’t matter it’s her job to find out what they need. They can’t see out out the glasses and I will not be taking them there anymore.

Dr. Johnson is a caring & dedicated eye physician. He sits and explains each situation that concerns your vision.If a problem arises he will send you to the best physician to handle whatever the need .He is honest and shows respect to all of his patients..Thank you Dr. Johnson for going the extra steps for each of us.

Got an eye exam and ask if it was covered. Wasnt told a diabetic exam wouldnt be covered by my vision plan at all. Got a bill for over 200$. I understand the reasons behind it but wish the cost would be better explained.

Walk in there asking for a lions clubs & the lady i was talking to another JUMP in & said WE DONT DO THAT NO MORE i don’t bc if i was black but it felt like they wanted me out here just because i was black to me, it hurts that we still like this

Dr. Johnson was incredible and his staff is first class, caring and kind. We were on vacation on Pawleys Island and my 83 year old father was having some extreme irritation in one of his eyes. My father was really suffering with swelling and pain as well as his symptoms getting worse by the hour. Dr. Johnson was extremely personable, kind and caring, and he took a lot of time on the exam and explanation. Dr. Johnson diagnosed the problem that 3 other doctors failed to catch. I would recommend him to anyone in the area or visiting the area.Thank you for your care of my father.Peter

I am a fairly new patient here at Indigo Vision Center. Dr. Johnson was so nice to me and did everything very quickly and painlessly for me. Not only was he nice, but he really made me comfortable during my visit. I was very pleased.

Dr. Owen Johnson was very rude to my mom when going for a routine eye exam. He had no sympathy for her low vision and basically inferred that she was “faking” about what she could and could not see. My mom is going through a very difficult time with the loss of her vision and was treated very poorly by Dr Owen Johnson. We highly recommend not going to this clinic.

Our children actually really love Dr. Johnson. In fact, the entire staff has always been wonderful towards them, and me as well. I never have to wait too long,m which is nice with so many kids.

I WILL NEVER BE GIVING THIS PLACE MY BUSINESS AGAIN!This place has horrible service. We waited for 2 weeks for my glasses to come in, and when they came in the technician broke them. I had to leave the country the next day, so they gave me a replacememt pair, which I hated. When I was finally able to go pick them up, I had to wait over a half and hour. When I walked in the girl at the front desk said it would just be a few minutes. Get your timing right. No one offered me a seat or showed me where to sit. And, between clients, the floor people took their time and didnt seem to care there were people waiting. One person, even though there was a line, took a break!Long story short: Dont tell customers a few minutes when its going to be closer to 40. And, act like you care about the customers time. Very dissapointed.

Dr. Johnson was so accommodating and really helped me out in a crunch, he even stayed in on closed hours! 5 stars!!! Thank you so much, highly recommend!
