They are super knowledgeable and are simply the best at what they do. Dont be fooled by the tiny location. What they lack in inventory is well made up with excellent customer service, knowledgeable owners and top notch staff and excellent work! Dont pass this little shop by! Well worth any trip! Great service. Just got my shotgun back. Had the Mossberg Ghost Ring Site kit installed. Front and Rear sites. The work is top notch. Will there be a wait time for some services? Yes but that is because the work is top quality. I would rather wait for good work then get bad work done at a faster pace. Will definitely be using them for all my future needs.

CAR folks were very polite, open and honest, and professional. Their selection isnt a gun store tier because the main purpose of the business is gun-smithing but I sold two firearms and they gave me a very good price on both of them, way more than any pawn shop or gun store. I also bought two firearms before this visit, both restored and/or upfitted by the gunsmith and they are impeccable. I strongly recommend them for your needs and Ill certainly be back.

Excellent service, and quick turn around! I brought in my Glock and the gentleman there explained how I had been shown the wrong way to maintain my weapon. He cleaned her up and had her working like new! Then he kindly showed me the proper maintainence and lubrication process. Definitely won a return customer!

Amazing shop! Only gun shop I could find that wasnt 50 miles away.Had to get my barrel threaded and muzzle brake mounted very last minute and these guys came through! Very happy with the work and the performance of their suggested muzzle brake. called a few times then hung up before listening to thier recording, I was getting mad then finally listened to it, left a message and got a call back that same day. After visiting and seeing the shop I realized why this happened, they are a small shop that has a huge customer base and answering the phone whenever it rings can cause a lot of slow downs for their work.

The safety on my brand new out of the box Winchester m70 had gotten stuck on “fire” and could not be moved to “safe”. Chris fixes it with in 20 min.... Winchester said it would take over two months and I might be charged if it’s not a manufacturing issue. The staff here are competent, timely, fair and professional. I’ll be coming back.

Asked them to do a deep clean on one pistol and a night sight install on another. Workmanship was great and very reasonably priced. They were also very open about it possibly being a week or two to get the job completed due to their backlog of work. They called when the pistols were ready, but I couldnt make it down that day. The next day they were due to be open for regular business hours was the day that the major snowstorm was due to hit the Puget Sound. I sent them an email and asked if they would be around at the shop so I could pick them up when they werent normally open and they were very accommodating. Will definitely be recommending them to my friends in the area!

Had some work done on my fathers Colt Woodsman. They did an amazing job and the staff was very friendly.

Been going there for years when Fred first opened in his garage at his house. Hes moved on but my experience with the new people has been positive and the work, top notch still. They are a little out of the way, you have to be looking for them to find them, but that is what GPS is for. Transfer fees are a little high so I will not be doing my online buys or private buys through them. However, repairs, trigger jobs, custom work, this is the place to go. Prices for shop work are reasonable and well worth it. My go to guys for work I cant do for myself. They can build just about any custom rifle you want.

These guys had me in and out in 15 minutes. They were familiar with my issue unlike the other place I went, I was told to send the gun back to sig in New Hampshire. Glad I went local. It took me about 4 weeks less to take it to C.A.R.! Thanks guys, Ill be a returning customer.

They assisted me with an FEL transfer across the US. These guys were great and I had no issues. They responded quickly to all my inquiries and helped me fix my information before coming in so I didn’t make a wasted trip.

Ive been using CaR Firearms for over 4 years for a variety of transfers, deep cleaning, repairs and modifications of a few rifles, pistols ans shotguns and have experienced great service and great work! These guys are extremely thorough. They might have your firearm longer than you hope but its worth it. Most of the best companies in the firearm business make you wait for their product, its worth it. The trigger job on my Vepr that Fred did is absolutely amazing. He also had to add a rear trunnion and paint it. This thing is now flawless now. Incredible work. They are the only gunsmith I intend on using from here on out.

Did great work on my rifle. Only problem I had was horrible communication skills. Good luck calling and having them answer. Did not let me know that my scope mounts were back ordered. I had to purchase them myself and bring it to them after 3 weeks had passed. That being said my rifle turned out great.

Chris and Nick were very capable and knowegable. We were very disheartened with our new shotgun that kept jamming. Chris quickly dislodged the chamber and generously educated us about what kind of ammo should be used. I went from feeling discouraged to quite pleased and excited to target practicing!

Very nice people but unfortunately they claimed to have fixed my rifle without testing it and actually returned it to me in the same condition as before. Another gunsmith found the problem in literally 5 minutes.

Great guys, with lots of knowledge. They do a lot of business for a small shop which makes wait times a little long. Overall quality takes time and their quality of work is bar none.

Hard to get ahold of. But there work ethic and know how convinced me to give a 5 star rating anyway. They just know there stuff and dont talk down to you like a lot of other gunsmiths do. Everyone there was happy to teach me what I did not know. As well I thought I had to buy more stuff than I did. They were honest and saved me money. Thats like going into a mechanic and saying I think my transmission is out and they tell you its fine just needed fluid. Its un heard of to do something honest instead of making money. 5 stars all the way

I dont think this Ash character knows what hes talking about, but 10-12 weeks seems reasonable for this level of work. Clearly, somebody threw a tantrum when they didnt hear what they wanted. Fred and crew are stand up guys.

Brought my Savage 112VBSS in to thread and install muzzle brake. They completed work in under a week for a great price .Finished bore the brake and taper to the barrel perfectly . I will be back with future projects .

Fred has worked on all of my guns. Im a difficult customer, ask for all kinds of silly mods and constantly change my mind. He and the gang have been very patient with me for several years now. Fred (and team) is the best gunsmith in WA hands down! Fred did an amazing job on my AKM. He swapped gas block, cut (14.5), rethreaded and pinned a silencerco ASR flash hider to AK barrel. He made sure the threads were concentric in order to shoot supressed.Gas system worked flawlessly supressed and unsupressed and of course no baffle strikes.Anyone who works on AKs understands this is a difficult task. He did this work for a cost effective price and turned it around in under 4 weeks when he said 8 weeks.Dont risk having your firearms botched my other gun smiths and just go to the best! Its worth the wait...

Highly qualified gunsmiths. However, the waiting time is too long. I had to wait for about a month for the handguard to be painted in the Magpul OD Green color. Additionally, received a different shade of green - not Magpul OD Green. If you need precise gunsmithing job done - C.A.R is the place to go. However, expect long wait.
