Nice range and good prices. Staff are pretty decent but Shaun is the man! Gave me some pointers to improve my accuracy and was down to earth and humble. I appreciated him taking the time to give an inexperienced shooter like me a few pointers.
Went there first time. Awesome friendly staff and a great facility. Will go again soon! Thank you guys for the amazing experience, it’s been a while since I was in a range. Highly recommend!
Such a great place. Recommend it to anyone who is interested. Friendly and supportive staff.
First-time and men lady was respectful and responsible to tell me everything how it works and rules to and the young man to nice people great treatment 👍good will be soon a monthly membership
The gentleman who works here is patient and kind, gave me a quick lesson on how to handle the gun I chose. They give safety Instructions and have good safety protocols. 👍🏾👍🏾
I run a semi and travel all over the country. Im always looking for gun ranges. Champion arms has alot to offer if your looking for a clean range with working target runs and lead clearing soap in the bathrooms! If you get a chance deal.with Roy personally. His attitude is fantastic and a joy to speak with. The rest of the staff seemed less friendly and more of this Is just a job. I spent 100 bucks or so on range time and equipment and was there for over an hour. You can rent a multitude of guns from pistols to rifles. They even offer a SW 500. Great range of newer weapons for rent. Id come back again. The way they hang targets is with tape, not to sure whats happening there but overall it was a good experience. Thank you Roy!
The staff here are great people! Very polite and I appreciate their knowledge and advice. Very welcoming atmosphere, good range and the crowd is always personable.Highly recommend coming in for their rental night on Wednesday, they have a great selection!
Very friendly and relaxed staff had good knowledge about their products. Range was very safe and observed covid guidelines for customers. If you come here for any reason you will have a great time.
Love coming to this range. Only gripe at the moment is wanting to go back but cant justify it for the 1 box max on FMJs for the range. Hopefully the national ammo crisis clears up soon.
Me and my friends had our name on the list for a lane to shoot. We were informed that if we didn’t answer our call we would be skipped(Note: wait time we were informed was 30-60 mins). We waited for 45 mins and during that 45 mins we went to a gas station 0.4 miles away from the range. We received a call while we were coming back from the gas station and we told them we were a minute away. When we get inside literally a minute after talking to them over the phone they said our spot has been skipped while the people after us are walking in. We spoke to the employees and the manager about unjust treatment and they kept repeating that if you are not in the parking lot when you were called you will be skipped. We said that we were never informed that, but that we where only informed to answer the call. The most ridiculous thing is that the whole time we are discussing our issue with the general manager in a span of 10-15 min, the people that are after us are being registered in. (Note: we walked in before the people after us. We also walked in 1 minute after the call) makes zero sense. I don’t like using the race card, but it really felt that way.
Wrong is wrong at any moment. My friends and I were excited to shoot guns at the range for our first times! Unfortunately we were treated with the upmost disrespect. We came in and were told to wait for 30mins to an hour and to answer our phones when they call us to notify us when it is out turn to shoot. We answered their call and showed up to the range within that minute and were told we have to wait another 30mins to and hour after showing up to the range even tho we got there before the people after us even came. The workers were being rude to us and didn’t want us being there.. that’s the energy they showed towards us. To be honest this was more of a racial card they used against us and definitely won’t recommend this place and once we asked the store manager for corporate information they kicked us out.
Great place to shoot. Employees are friendly and make sure you know the safety rules so everyone is safe. Prices are decent, range is clean, and functional.
Brand new to firearms here. I stopped at Champion Arms on the recommendation of a friend. Great experience and I would recommend them. I got a safety overview from the range officer and they patiently answered all of my newbie questions. I got to shoot a SW22 Victory which I had been considering buying, it was great!
Weve been coming to Champion Arms a couple of times a month for the last eight years. We learned to shoot there and have taken a couple of their training courses. The staff are helpful, with little of that gun shop attitude. The ownership is responsive and has made many improvements to safety and to limit lead exposure. Really, weve never felt the need to try anywhere else.
August 6th 2020I took my first Womens Basic Handgun training course. My instructor was Carol Conklin she was amazing in her teaching skills. I highly recommend any woman looking for the hands on experience to take this course with Carol. She has the knowledge and ability to put at ease with the correct way to handle your gun. The course also makes you understand the power of the decision to shoot a firearm. It definitely taught me a new respect for my gun. If I could give more STARS I would. Thank You! Carol
This was my first time shooting at any range, and the guys that work there are really awesome in helping you out and explaining things step by step. Their confident vibes made me more confident in shooting. I will definitely be coming back. I only spent like 40 bucks for my first time. Loved my experience overall. 😊Thanks for your patience with my questions! Lol
I have always wanted to go to a shooting range and I am glad I choose Champion Arms to be the first one. Staff was super helpful explaining how and what to do. Huge selection of guns to choose from if you want to rent. I had a lot of fun and enjoyed it a lot.Not sure how prices compare but provided I used a few guns and shot a lot of ammo, it was very reasonable. Would recommend to anyone.
So helpful and so accepting. Ive been to other gun shops and ranges and they always seem to give you this feeling of What are you doing here? NOT THIS PLACE. I recommend it to everybody 😁
Great range, great classes, great employees! I should have become a full member years ago! (I am now) My only wish would be for them to form a league night, even if just once a month for a couple hours. Ive met some great people at Champion, would be good to get together every so often. A loose ASI type shoot would be amazing. See ya at the range!
So this may not matter to everyone, but I found it notable how many women were on staff, and how many women were here to shoot or buy. Im a dude, but Ive been to plenty of ranges where my wife was not comfortable with the staff, clientele or both. Kudos to Champion for creating a welcoming environment: staff were all proactive, helpful and friendly. The range fees were very reasonable, the rental selection was good, and the range itself was a pleasure to shoot on.Definitely planning return trips here!
The team at Champion Arms Shooting Range are great. The range is well kept and they have a wide selection of guns to rent out and have fun with. Safety is paramount at this range and it is well felt. But, that doesnt take away from the friendly shooting range vibe that they give off.
Been here several times, wish I could shoot bigger calibers but you have to do what you can with the building you own. Great place to hone those skills and the best range in Renton, if you know what I mean.
Great place, friendly staff and great rental guns. Just got my Ruger 10/22 takedown lite and was able to try it out today, while the wife was at work. Thanks guys, can’t wait to be back
Good range, helpful staff. Great rental selection.NO MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED TO SHOOT!
The best people in the world work here! They’re so friendly and helpful, range fees are cheap and they actually let you shoot your AR as long as you buy their frangible ammo. Additionally, I had to leave 6 boxes of my own ammo behind the counter because I wasn’t allowed to shoot it, no big deal except I forgot it and went home! Called them later that day and they still had it! They safely held it for me until I was able to come get it. So happy to be able to deal with an honest business and honest employees, I’m sure that stuff would’ve disappeared at a lot of other shops.
Been to Champion Arms twice and I was not disappointed at all. The staff are great and extremely friendly. The atmosphere is very positive. Lane fees are reasonable as well as gun rentals. Ive permanently found a home here. I highly recommend going Champion Arms. Great place, Great Staff, Great experience. Wish I could give you guys 10 stars instead of 5.
Awesome people and range. Target ammo for 223 is meh. I wish i could bring my own ammo. Also it would be nice if they brought back 308s in there.
Very helpful people at the range who were willing to offer suggestions and support as I tried to figure out a good carry choice. They didnt pressure the sale, but made good offers.
It has been my first time shooting a firearm and I strongly recommend this shooting range for anyone who is not familiar with guns at all.Staff has conducted me through safety procedures with a provisional plastic gun to make sure I yield a weapon properly.Thank you guys! Big up
The staff here is always friendly, informative, and inviting. They maintain their rental pistols and facilities. And they have a diverse number of firearms to test out. This is my go-to spot in the Seattle area.
I started going here when I was about sixteen. A family friend worked there and at first the place was great! But they seamed to have a big fall out with there staff and a lot of turn over for about a 8 year period. They have changed there set up a lot in the last year and started selling guns again. The women at the gun counter seamed a bit off with her sales technique. When asked technical questions about products, she insulted products she didnt carry and simply stated that there products were better. Without producing any knowledge on the products asked about. Which made me hesitant to ask further questions. However there gun smith seamed very knowledgeable and up beat. The rental selection has grown to include some really nice hand guns. If your big into clean ammo you definitely want to bring your own stuff as the stuff they sell at the range can very and tends to be dirty, cheap and a little over priced. But thats pretty much any range. Overall I think they have done an awesome job with the new changes and Im really happy with what feels like a new champion arms!
Pricing was fair compared to other places in the general area. Using the tape to put down targets versus like some metal holders was quite a nuisance (not terrible but still) and also the customer service vibes weren’t the best by any means. I realize it’s just a shooting range, but still.Overall would return if in area but wouldn’t search it out.
I have been at the gun range several times prior to the pandemic staff has always been friendly courteous and knowledgeable, during the pandemic things have changed possibly because more people are at the range, dont know, I dont get the same feeling as before...from stafftheir prices has doubled in some cases triple for ammunition.
Great experience with my first time shooting by myself and the second time with a group of friends. Highly recommend. Be cool with the staffs and they will be cool with you.
First time ever shooting a pistol and Adam did a great job at educating me on fundamentals. I was surprised at how the rental and ammo prices were affordable. It wasnt just Adam that was friendly and helpful, everyone there was! Definitely going back!
Well maintained lanes. Good daily specials like $10 lane fee (normally $13.50) on Mondays and free gun rentals on Wednesdays. I bought their 10-visit punch card for $85+tax, which is essentially $5 off per visit, which is a good deal. I wanted to bring my AR15 but the frangible ammo they require you to buy from them is $40 for 20 rounds!! Way too expensive. And they should improve lighting down range. Certain distances have obscured lighting and too dim. But overall, affordable and good place to shoot.
Professional staff, nice range, decent price, sensible rules. I’ve never had a bad experience here.To avoid confusion though: the attached gun shop (which deserves a similar rating to the range) does not share the same hours. Made the mistake of driving there yesterday for more Mauser food and having to turn around because I didn’t check the correct page for hours.
Fun place, very friendly and helpful staff. Wish the house frangible 223 was not so expensive, id be here a lot more
Really nice guys and answered all of my questions. The facility is well ventilated and clean. I highly recommend this range.
Really great. Staff are personable and helpful. They enforce rules and makes sure to maintain the safe area. As a first timer, one of the staff even came over to make sure I was.okay and gave some pointers. Really great. Eve. On a Sunday it can be packed
I’ve been here 4 times, I go to the range every 3 months and plan to go more often. When I go I usually go with 5 more friends. The people there are great at giving instructions on how to handle the gun and what not to do. I like that they let you bring your own ammo too! Will be going tomorrow again with 5 family members:)
Great group of guys there. Very friendly compared to other places I’ve been. 2 things kept it from 5 stars. Ventilation is under powered I feel. My nose and sinuses were done after 30-45 minutes. Second thing, you can’t double tap. Seems silly but being previous military being taught two to the chest, I found that kinda poop. I’d recommend it if you are in the area.
Awesome place. As a novice middle age woman, they treat me like any other shooters, no condescending looks or behavior. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. I am a loyal customer now.
Always friendly, good range! Recently became a member, free target and lane! But members have no priority in line or for lanes!! What good is the membership!
Great staff. This range has a personal feel. Not a sterile, we dont know you attitude here. Becoming a member was an easy choice. I wouldnt trade it for any of the larger ranges and I actually drive further to get here than the one on Federal Way.
There are two sets of rules here. What weapons can be used (caliber) and how you can shoot. If you join you can fire larger caliber weapons and you can rapid fire. I brought an AR there once (only once) they told me I could only shoot it if I bought the ammo from them. So if really want to enjoy this place then join their club.
First time at this range and the guys behind the counter were great! Made us feel welcome; not ignorant, and made us laugh! We arent members at any of the ranges, but are strongly considering joining this one. Thanks guys!
Nice range facility, great choice, friendly and helpful staff, reasonable pricing . it was my first time shooting and they made it super easy and were extremely helpful and accommodating. 10/10 recommended.
I brought a new shooter and the staff was very helpful. We were two females and no one thought it was weird we were there. They even cleaned my personal gun, though I find 22s more fun for target practice. They even have a class for women. I liked this place very much and will return soon!
Very disappointed today I give my riffle for cleaning up last week paid 60.00 dollars for that, still not a big deal for me but today after come back to my place have a little doubt about the cleaning, then check by myself open up the whole rifle a part I am 100 percent sure that they never did the cleaning at all, never ever trust these guys. Its completely rip off by these guys
Very informative...great data to help make a great choice. Most important thing to me is the data about air and lighting. I appreciate this review for that!
Decent range close to home. Would rate 5 stars if i could use my own 223/556 ammo and shoot my ar on all lanes. Currently only specific lanes are capable of handling the AR.
They only give you a limited of ammo one box for each person soo it’s was hassle to come her to shoot for 15 minutes worth of rounds.
Great staff, very helpful and friendly. Not a bunch of gun elitists. You know the type. I would be a member if only they could handle aks and shotguns. But great place for hand guns. Fair prices. Needs more lighting in the lanes, but so do other ranges.
This is my favorite range. You can shoot rifles here with full magazines, as long as you only fire frangible ammo bought there. They have a good selection of rentals and the staff are friendly and courteous. My only slight issue is that they will rent a firearm to someone who has zero firearms experience and not supervise them quite closely enough. Everyone needs to learn to shoot, but everyone needs a qualified firearms instructor to teach them, IMO.
Honestly some of the nicest and most helpful staff ever. The owner is the sweetest lady you could ever meet. The Range its self is much nicer than you could imagine from just passing by on the street. I give these guys 4 thumbs up!
I took my girlfriend and her 18-year old son here for an intro to firearms class. They were both new to guns whereas Im an ex-police officer. The instructor, Quint, was top-notch. I found his use of class time extremely effective, we enjoyed his sense of humor, we found him very easy to understand and comprehend, and most of all I appreciated the way he approached the topics of mindset & ability - something many classes fail to teach nowadays. He also taught the basics of handgun safety, nomenclature, self-defense laws, shooting basics, ammunition, and how to clean your gun. Very thorough. We then spent an hour on the range. We all had a most excellent time. Ive read the reviews about the range being too dark and none of us experienced that at all. While most of the class was review for me, I too learned a few things I hadnt considered before - no small feat for a 13-year patrol officer. I would recommend his class to anyone. As a side note, I was somewhat disappointed with my experience talking to a few of the guys on the phone when I made my reservations. While they were extremely friendly, I did get the feeling they were somewhat unorganized and after promising to call me back with some additional information they failed to do so. Having said this, all my concerns I had from my brief phone calls with the two men I spoke with were put to rest after taking Quints class. Well done, and I plan on booking future classes here even though it was an hour drive from our home.
Josh was such a great instructor!!! Everything he said I was able to understand and make since..thank you so much!!! The prices are very reasonable...
Solid range with friendly staff. The fact that they offer veteran discounts is awesome.
Decent local shooting range. Guys running it are courteous but wait times can we long during prime shooting hours. That said, its less expensive than most other ranges Ive been to.
I do enjoy shooting at this range. They are customer oriented and try their best to satisfy your needs. This range is also comparatively affordable and have a range of forearms to choose from.
My girlfriend and I went to champion arms today (her first time shooting) and we had a great experience. Customer service in the shooting range to the sales area was five stArs. Prices are great, I was expecting to pay much more. I also made my first purchase today! We will be returning!
My friend and I are both in our mid twenties, when we went into the range it was filled with older gentlemen and we were told that we had to leave because we smelled like marijuana despite the fact that neither of us smoke. If you’re looking to get discriminated against because of your age or lack of moto patch hats this is a great range. If you are looking to train and practice your second amendment rights I would suggest going to another range where they won’t make up a reason to have you leave.
Good place, knowledgeable employees. Always friendly
My first time there today and had a great time. Knowledgeable and friendly staff - very professional and helpful. Not sure about prices since this is my first time at a range.
Solid range with good prices. Only downside is its still 13$ to shoot even if you bring own gun ammo and target
Super friendly staff. Good selection of rentals. Ammo is reasonable. Deffinatly recommend these guys.
Most unsafe life fire experience I have ever been involved with at any capacity, and I did a tour on Afghanistan.
Great friendly staff and good selection of rentals. Would definitely go back... in the winter. Unfortunately I went this morning when they opened at ten and it was already 80 degrees outside. It must have been at least 105 inside the range. I could take it for about 20 minutes and then had to leave, was getting loopy from heat! Be wary if you are heat sensitive!
Good indoor range. Wish you could do double taps but I understand why not. Decent rates on lanes and rental guns.
Friendly staff and not too busy in the evenings so Ive never had to wait for a lane. Reasonable prices.I go there about every other week when Im up in Seattle area on business (Im from DFW, TX area). They have the same rules as most other indoor ranges Ive been to. No rapid fire, no drawing from holster, etc.
As it was my first visit to a gun range, I dont have any complaints, it was clean and I and my wife had good experiences it gets 4 stars! I believe part of the experience was the folks I went with and their willingness to teach a newbie.
Ive been to this range many times and I like it except for the lighting, if its a little bit brighter would be great. The staff were friendly and they give you recommendation if you asked them. Reasonable range fees and They have a gun store too, not that much selection of guns, ammos and accessories but they have fair/good prices. Overall I like this place and I will come back again in the future!Cons: A little bit darker inside the shooting range. *It will be 5 stars range if the lighting is brighter.- Mark
Decent range. There is a really good gunsmith there. The price is for both range and ammo are good. Generally speaking: nice and clean facility with good personnel.
As a newbie I was treated with understanding and respect. They are a personable and dedicated staff. I was very pleased with how they explained different weapons.
Nice facility if you enjoy getting hit by ricochets. I told staff about the issue and they didnt take me seriously at all. Many bullet fragments were picked up BEHIND the firing line after shooting for about 30 min. I was hit in the leg and foot twice and then left.
Staff is always friendly. Ventilation is good. The only area that I would like to see improvement is the lighting.
Nice range. Good price. It can be crowded sometimes. But you learn when its best to go.
Fantastic staff. Brought my wife here for a date night and we had a blast
Not too shabby, I like coming here when I can. I have been snapped in the face with a spec of shrapnel because some ass clown was shooting his AR next to the wall. But that isnt the ranges fault, just grow a pair and keep shooting and also why you wear eye protection. They are quick to jump on people if they are acting like douche bags. Friendly staff, I have no complaints there. If I could give more stars I would, thanks guys.
Best place great customer service I got everything what I need !!!
Been there a few times and staff is awesome . Outstanding customer service and prices are great.
Staff was very helpful. They actually took the time to help my brother un jam and clean his rifle. They took the time to walk through and talk through the process
I have been here a number of times (enough to fill 2 punch cards anyway), and every time, the staff was a perfect combination of amiable and professional. I love this place although I would recommend new shooters go on Wednesday and those who own their firearms go Monday.
Friendly people, always helpful. Clean, well lite, organized, and very professional. Been to other ranges and for an indoor range this is my favorite. Very military friendly.
First trip to Champion Arms range today, loved it. Staff was friendly, found the range to be very shooter oriented. They were busy today and yet I still felt very comfortable. Highly recommended. Thanks
Nice range. And they let you shoot your own ammo regardless of the brand unlike west coast armory
Friendly staff, nice range will definitely be my place to shoot!
Very friendly, thats all.matters. tried almost all 45 and 9 they have.Very informative, peopleThey as well have gun safety classI hope they will have gun sales store as well
Looks fun 😍 you just pay for the Ammo ❣️It was awesome & just small little area for everyone to shoot
They prioritize safety and most of all customer satisfaction polite and funny staff... only issue is there is no open bay hope that can can happen some day
A nice, small indoor range and gun shop. The range could be a lot nicer, and it is my understanding that it had some notable ventilation issues at one time.
I just tried to explain that their voicemail states the range and store opens at 10, and Google reads the same. Their reply, no youre just confused.... Just lost my service. While laughing at me.
My 2nd time here. What a fun day with great friends. They have a pretty good selection of weapons to rent and the ammo prices are fair.
