I came in with my IPhone 7 with huge cracks everywhere on my screen, and they fixed it within two hours. Now, I have a completely fixed screen with a case that is shock proof and will make sure that if I drop it, it will not break again. The store is very clean, orderly, and service was great. I didn’t have a second phone to call once my repair was complete so the guys worked out a time (roughly 2 hours) for the total repair. Screen cracked shortly after I got it back for no reason... (hear me out and read further)I had left a 1 star review with a short message describing the situation. Roger ray called me, explained that he checks once a month for bad reviews, and makes em right. He told me hed order a screen in and take care of it for no charge...That amazes me; especially since he went out of his way to give me a call over the review to find out what happened. I havent seen such commitment to good service, ever! That being said, I retract my previous review and am happily replacing it with this one... Truly outstanding!

Had my PS4 sent here to be fixed, paid a $54.99 for it to be sent out to technitions, and also was supposed to be part of the estimated total cost of the entire fix. On my receipt I was promised to be informed by Nov 11th about any issues, which I had to call them on that same day because I hadnt received a call or any notice prior. They told me the PS4 ran disk, I asked if it ran Games because the PS4 has two separate lasers, one to run disk and one to run games, in which they answered Yes it does. It didnt. I got it back home and it does not run games, they simply cleaned it out and it was a waist of money. Do not bring your devices here, go to UbreakiFix on west Lansing. Piss poor experience.

I called to inquire about services. I spoke to manager Roger who was so extremely condescending that I will not be using this establishments services. EVER. Spoke to me like I am a child, cut me off and spoke over me to say Let ME tell YOU about this situation (yes in those exact words - before he had even let me explain full details of my water damaged phone). Roger I hope you read this, back up at least one step (when really it should be three of four), and chalk it up as a bad day and move on. Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT (hows that for a taste of your own medicine?) move forward as you have. You lost a potential customer that is an intelligent professional. I can explain myself clearly as well as understand when given the chance. READER NOTE* I did hang up with Roger and called across town to East Lansing location. Before asking any questions about their services I was quick to learn if Roger was affiliated with this property. I was told that he is NOT the manager at this property. Polite courteous service over the phone and I will be taking my phone in to the EAST Lansing location this afternoon.

What could have been a total disaster all worked out in the end thanks to Jordan and his team. Sometimes in business there are times that regardless of what you or your team do something seems to just keep going wrong. This was one of those times for Jordan and his team and they handled it with professionalism, kindness and a commitment to keep working to resolve the issues. Those characteristics and never giving up on resolving the problems I am happy to give them 5 stars and recommend them to anyone that needs repairs done. Hopefully I do not have broken devices in the future but if I do there is only one place I will take them, Genius Phone Repair.

Called for information on a phone repair and the representative was extremely condescending and rude. He also wanted to charge over $50 to figure out what was wrong with my device with no guarantee that he could fix it.

I was referred to Genius by a friend who had used them recently and was very satisfied. I too had a great experience. The manager was very helpful and knowledgeable. He made sure that I received a quality repair, at a reasonable price, as promised. Thank you Genius for great customer service! It beat the heck out of an insurance claim.

A young man with blue eyes saved my LIFE today (I believe his name was Parker?). I was in a pinch, and needed my screen repaired fast. I came in with a work iPad with cracked screen. The guy was very professional on getting me info. Pricing was fair. But since there was a few hour wait, which I didn’t know about, I had to postpone the repair because I need it for work today. But I asked him how much to install my screen glass protector professionally for my personal phone because I am clumsy and impatient and always leave dust or bubbles in it, and he just did it right on the spot, even though I wasn’t a paying customer yet. A+ for effort and professionalism. The guy made no money off of me today, and I’m treated me like a guest in his store.

Roger Ray was the best!! He fixed my phone for a low price unlike all these other places, gave me a great deal on a temp glass and phone case along with getting a pop socket for .56 cents. Not only that but he is super nice! Would highly recommend

Posted online hours are different than the hours that are on the message when you call so as you sit on hold you think youre waiting for someone to pick up but no ones there.

Basically ripped me off. Instead of replacing my charging port, they talked me into buying a refurbished phone, which GPS wasn’t working. I went about 12 days later to replace it, and they said they can’t replace only up sell me on a better model... so I didn’t follow their advic again. I ordered a charging port, new screen and new battery all for about 60$ and with guidance from a friend replaced the parts of my old phone which is like new, and I just took the hit on the phone with a non functioning GPS...All in all they are dishonest and a rip off - would definitely recommend any other store... if I could give them negative stars I would.

I took my phone in and everything was a smooth sail ride from there they took care of me in a fast timely manner, the guy that helped me out was the manager by the name of Freddie. Had an issue with my SIM not working with my new iPhone SE, and so I came here as a last resort after both the nearest AT&T and Apple Store werent able to help me out and resolve my issue. The people working here (Jordan and Makayla) took merely 30 minutes to find the solution to what was going on with my phone and SIM card, and fixed it for free of cost. I was shocked, especially because I had given up and decided I was going to simply have to buy another new phone.Will definitely be coming back here in the future for anything tech related repairs. Extremely satisfied with the service they provided.

The i-Pad got fixed quickly. The person at the counter should stay in the back and do the genius repair work and have somebody else work with customers (Different set of skills, not less brilliant). The staff from Genius Phone Review saw this post, and called to try to remedy the problem. We did get a cover ordered anddelivered, all very professionally (even got a discount), so I wanted to change my review to demonstrate that I feel much better.

Quick service & a very fair price. The only thing I would say that could improve... I would have liked a more detailed explanation of exactly what was wrong & what was done to fix it. The guy at the counter said he didnt work on computers so he didnt know. Im assuming it was a simple fix because it was only $20.

I was very happy with my experience at Genius Repair. I went there because they had the best prices. The fix was quick and the tech was very honest about everything. I got my daughters iPhone screen and LCD replaced and it was done within hours - my only complaint is her display has a blue tint to it and doesnt get very bright. Im not sure if that is normal or if maybe the phone has other issues. I would recommend this place to anyone - and weve been to many repair shops with a very clumsy daughter.

Great place, very knowledgeable about apple phones and how they work(more so than the employees at the apple store). After the Apple Store bricked my phone in a screen repair they explained to me why theres not reason that should not happen without a mistake made on their end which helped extremely in fighting with the Apple Store staff to get them to replace the phone they broke. Sam S. is the man there and really demonstrated great customer service and knowledge of the industry which is why Id choose them over any other place to get your phone fixed anytime.

I got a nice greeting the minute I walked through the door while the person at the counter was waiting on someone else. I waited a few minutes and he helped me and had a technician come out from the back to take a look at my old iPod. The tech took some time with my device, got it working, and sent me off with no charge. I went into the business because my phone was not charging. The owner allowed me to leave my phone for an hour for no charge and used his charger after figuring out how to get some juice into a loose charging port. Very kind service and once again, no charge for the assistance he gave me, highly recommended

My iPhone 4 took a swim and I thought I would have to buy a replacement. Thankfully the guys at Genius Phone Repair were able to fix my phone, even though the inside was completely drenched. Got everything fixed (including a new glass back) for a reasonable price and I couldnt be happier. Alex, the genius that saved my phone, was particularly very helpful and friendly.

Do good work but the staff fluctuates in its professionalism. When I dropped my phone off the staff member was helpful and polite, but when I came back, the staff member Ty was extremely condescending. They had shipped my phone to the Lansing store for technical work (without telling me, which is kind of annoying but not a deal breaker) and he asked me if I was sure I hadnt dropped it off there instead -- as though I wouldnt know if I had? Then he said the other store was near the Lansing Mall and asked me if I knew were the Lansing Mall was. Okay, fine, I appreciate you making sure, Ty. But if my reply to that question is yeah its in Waverly, maybe dont go on to ask a second time if I know where the Lansing Mall is and then give me directions anyway.Anyway my phone works again but I probably wont be using it to call Ty.

I brought in my iPhone6. Id shattered the screen. They replaced the screen for a very reasonable price and threw in a beautiful case and tempered glass screen protector just just another $45. We all hate to spend money on repairs, but they make it worth it.

Horrible - incompetent. To be fair the problem wasnt with the East Lansing office, Freddie does a good job. I sent my desktop in for a diagnostic check (they send it to their Grand Rapids branch). I suspected the motherboard was broken so I wanted confirmation. They informed me it was just the RAM receiver port. I TRUSTED and believed them. They quoted me $80 dollars to fix it, I thought that was high but oh well. I allowed them to do it. This is after waiting 5 days without hearing anything from them, I had to call Genius Phone Repair to find out the status. However upon receiving my computer back, the desktop which was super clean, immaculate and in perfect condition....came back with scratches, dents and to top if off they misplaced the power cable. To make it worse when I got home and powered up the desktop the mouse and keyboard didnt work. Which confirmed my original theory of the motherboard being broken. So by choosing Genius Phone repair, I still have a computer that doesnt work, I paid $80 dollars and they added scratches and dents. Thanks. If I could give negative stars I would, this was a horrible experience and a waste of time and money. I would STRONGLY recommend customers to save their money and go someplace professional that will care for and fix your electronics

My HTC would not turn on or take a charge. Was told by manager that it may or may not be the battery. He said it would cost approximately $92 for parts and labor. It was made clear to me by the manager was NONREFUNDABLE whether it was the problem or not. I paid $45 as a down payment so they would proceed.After three weeks with no update I contacted the store. I was told that the battery is ordered but was being delayed due to our current relationship with China because of Trump. Two more weeks go by and they called to inform me that they not only installed the battery but installed a new charging port and inspected the motherboard and daughterboard for any other possible causes. However, they were unable to fix my phone. The staff member whom I picked the phone up from repeated all this information while hastily refunding my money.Feeling suspicious, I immediately took the phone to a different repair shop in Lansing who informed me within minutes that there were no aftermarket parts installed in my phone and the motherboard had been broken by whomever dismantled it last.I was lied to, placated and lied to again and again. My phone is now broken beyond repair.Genius Phone Repair of Lansing is an unscrupulous business that not only lies to customers but feels it is necessary to use unnecessary political dogma as an excuse for its failures as a business.

I came in earlier this week with a broken phone screen and they provided me with attention and details that my own cellphone company didnt. Chris was so great to work with and his friendliness eased my worried mind about losing everything on my phone. He also interacted with my kids which is a huge plus in any mommas shopping book! :)Not only was the customer care great, but the service was so fast and worth the little extra money I paid versus going through my cellphone insurance and what not. You cant beat SAME DAY service!I would totally recommend them!

I used this shop for buttery replacement of my android phone (honor 8/Huawei). Their job was great, buttery life became normal as before.Only reason lacking 1 star is, I visited shop on the day I got call to let me know buttery arrived. But they did NOT have technician who can do replacement on that day, so I needed to return next day. It was really annoying for me.

Clean inside and looks like work they do is reasonably decent. However the staff is really condescending and doesnt listen to customers assuming that they dont have a single clue what is going on. Very frustrating trying to describe your problem and hear them go into the back room before you finish testing what they think you were trying to say and muttering things that are clearly related to you and then coming back out just so you can tell them they were diagnosing the wrong issue when they tell you there was no problem with the piece they assumed you wanted fixed.

Ripoff and terrible customer service.Condescending owner sold me a refurbished phone and when it didnt work correctly he laughed and told me it was my problem and that I should go to AT&T to get it fixed. After many visits to AT&T, they told me I should get my money back or trade it for something else. Mr. Genius said You bought it! and would not reimburse nor trade.

Great service! My phone was taken care of within in a few hours and I was able to pick it up after work. People were very friendly and knowledgeable about the products and services offered.

I wish I would have read reviews on google previous to paying $140 to fix my iPhone 7 plus here. I went in for a cracked screen. When picking it up I noticed the colors of the screen were a little diluted, but they said this was normal. Since this issue seemed minor, I chose to just accept it. It was then 5 days later that the screen completely stopped working, which many others seem to have had similar issues. I would not recommend getting your phone fixed here, even if it is a minor crack.

Worse experience ever will NEVER go back! Took my tablet in for a new screen was told 24/48 hours for the repair, it ended up taking them just shy of a month! I ended up getting the run around with them. They called and told me it was done but they needed my personal charger to test it as they did not have one. I took it to them and my tablet wouldn’t even turn on! I was asked if I could come back in a half our (I didn’t have time to come back) I told them I would come back the following Monday (as I was there on a Friday) went back that Monday only to be told oh sorry we are having problems with your charging port (it worked just fine when I dropped it off to them, they even tested to make sure it worked!). 1-week later I called them to ask what was going on only to be told oh sorry we are having problems with the power on button, funny how the story changed, and once again my power on button worked and they tested that when I brought it to them! 1-week later I get a phone call telling me I could come pick my tablet up and sorry but they could not fix it that it had some kind of brown liquid substance inside it that fried the mother board. This was the FIRST THEY told me about it, and my tablet worked when I took it to them! Not to mention I told them to put a screen in it not to tear it all apart!! I called the main number trying to reach the headquarters they would not let me but gave me the district manager (Stan) who in the end gave me his personal tablet to replace my tablet who they admitted they broke. I am still not happy as I feel they should have either 1: gave me the $ to buy a new one or 2: bought me a new one instead of giving me a used tablet! So be aware if you take your phones or tablets to these people!

Well...We went in for a broken screen and they broke my camera. Now I have to pay $65 and wait two weeks to have a functioning camera, which is very important to me, they have kept my family from seeing me and it’s not like I get paid good enough to spend that money for someone else’s mistake. They said I most’ve hit my phone real real hard because the camera stopped working but I was actually able to use it with the broken screen after the not real real hard accident. The guy with long hair was teaching some people that day, I don’t know if that was their mistake; that could happen to anyone but don’t blame me and make me pay for it. I would appreciate a call from the owner to see how we can fix this, I see your store got good reviews I’m sorry my story doesn’t go with the rest, I would like that to change please and thank you. I am a foster parent and my phone crashed with tons of pics of all the kids I fostered that I thought were lost and no I didnt have them all backed up. I was devastated to say the least. Roger Ray and his team were remarkable and so, so polite and helpful!! They were able to retrieve all my pics and I was sooooo grateful to say the least! Went in to get my Sony Xperia XZs glass repaired. The part costs $50, they said theyd charge a small markup.. apparently that meant charging $100 for just the part! Then, they wanted an additional $120 for labor! Its a less than half an hour procedure if youre even a semi competent technician. The last nail in the coffin was the time estimate. Upwards of 5-8 days to just get the part delivered.I went to another place in town, they charge $50 for the part, no mark up. $60 for the half hour of labor, and the part arrived in 4 business days. Dont go to these thieves!!!

So far, so good; they are honouring their warranty on my phone repair. Just an FYI, they closed their E. Lansing location and moved it to west Lansing.

I had and S6 Active that broke (but would still turn on and charge)and I couldnt retrieve my photos off of it which was the most devastating because I am an avid photo taker. Looking up the cost for repair was going to be around $400... I called genius phone repair one day while I was a work and they said they can just do a retrieval of data for under $100. Roger Ray was the gentleman that answered my phone call and set me up to come in; he was very kind and helpful. Ted is the master mind on this retrieval and had it done that day. I only needed to pay just over $50 to walk out the door with ALL of my photos and information from my old phone! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS!!!!

I cant thank Ted enough at the Lansing Genius location for the work that he did on my daughters iPod by retrieving the extremely sentimental audio (and photos) of her and her late dad.You guys handled this job with professionalism and compassion that will not be forgotten and is immensely appreciated. Edit: This place impresses me every time I visit. Second trip to the store resulted in another great experience. They were very helpful in fixing a Samsung Galaxy s6 for me. Great work Genius!Real nice people to work with. Fixed my iphone 5 home button that was completely dead. Price was very fair and far cheaper than buying a new phone. Christopher was very welcoming. Definitely would use their service again.

Tried to get my iPhone fixed. They couldn’t fix it because it was so badly damaged but did educate me on my options and offered me a deal.

My phone had broken and was still under warranty however the damage wasnt covered under it. They were very understanding and extremely cooperative. They even gave me a discount. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this is everyone
