This is the worst eye doctor in Memphis. They have ordered the incorrect contacts for me THREE times now. I have been waiting for 1.5 months for my correct contacts to be ordered. Have spoken to employees for hours on end, with no apology or attempt to amend the situation (asked for express delivery on the latest order, was denied). Never again will I come to this place.

I have been a few times to this location because it is the closest to me, however I will make it the last time I ever go the last time I walked in two employees made a comment when I walked in because I guess they were hoping for no customers to come in and they were laughing the employee who helped me did not seem very friendly and the last few times I have went the employees seem a a bit unprofessional also I have been calling several times but they do not answer the phone

I went in for a eye exam for contacts on 03/20/2021, the visit went well, placed my order for contacts and left, called on 3/31/2021 when I havent received in the mail after a week because I had them sent to my house and was told that the contacts would come in a week later called on 4/7/2021 only to find out that the order had not been placed at all. So now I have to wait another week for some contacts that shouldve been ordered at the time I paid for them. On the other hand the woman that took my call was helpful. Will never use this location ever again.

Everytime I visit here there is always a problem, whether they put my information incorrect and say my insurance doesnt cover until i correct them.. to schedule me ahead before my insurance will cover to saying I have no insurance when I pay monthly.. All four of my last visit have ended up in a problem, somthing that can easily be resolved in 5minutes becomes a 45 min problem, ontop of horrible customer service never going back again.

They wanted over $900 for two pairs of glasses. I was fully prepared to pay another $150 for a second pair of glasses and was stunned when they wanted another $350. It’s all about the upsell at this place. You’ll find yourself sitting at a desk and the guy will be on the computer -that you cannot see, selling you all the bells and whistles. Basically fleecing my insurance but pricing me out of a second pair.I asked the gentleman how much of that was being covered by the insurance and it was $580. So yeah- Over $900 for two pairs of glasses.You can go to America’s best on Summer and spend about $300 for two pairs of no line bifocals without insurance.The employees were fast, friendly, and professional, but due to the corporate sales tactics and outrageous pricing I could not in good conscience recommend this place to anyone.

The eye doctor I was presented with was perfect very professional and amazing at her job. My only problem from not giving them a 5 star is they had a gentleman which I wont put his name on here but the only man working in that place this Saturday was rude and not that willing to help customers to insure he has less to do. I needed my lense fitted for new frames which they had at the store (same frames) but he told me they dont have the frames along with do that procedure. I then sat in the lobby called them asked if they did that which the desk lady answered, she said yes they do I requested it and got my glasses done from another person in the store. So Id say great store but that guy needs some people or training skills.

I had a great experience at this location. I was greeted as I entered and the wait was brief. All of the staff was extremely professional. They were able to address my anxiety concerning masks and social distancing by having executing procedures which help to greatly minimize risks. Although these are unprecedented times, I felt like ample time was taken during each phase of the process and the end result will be me able to confidently do my job well. I would recommend this location to anyone who needs a quality experience. Thank you

Ive seen the same doctor for 20+ years. I lost my glasses and couldnt get in to see him so I made an appointment with Visionworks. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and efficient everything was. I was able to make an appointment online for the same day. I didnt have to wait long at all to be called back. The nurse did the initial test and took me to a room. The doctor walked in as the nurse was walking out. I think it took all of 15-20 minutes for the visit. I didnt feel rushed over either. I picked out my glasses from a wide array. Far more than Im used to. They had cute glasses for cheap too so if I need a second pair before next year Ill not have to spend a fortune. The associate explained my insurance benefits and the options I had with the frames very well. I was even more surprised to find out they had my frames in stock and theyd be ready the next day. I picked them up on my lunch the next day and they are perfect. Ive already decided to have my kids check ups done with Visionworks this year.

My family of 5 visits yearly for our eye exam. The staff is always nice and helpful. Our appointment time is exactly that our time which we will be seen. Even visiting during the pandemic was stress free. They insured that nothing was cross contaminated.

I absolutely love this place. They’re so professional. They’re also very busy while trying to serve each individual in a timely manner. My glasses were ready before the day promised. Not only that, I was a few minutes getting there after closing and they allowed me to get my son’s glasses on a Saturday. They were closed still serving customers. Thank you so much.

I went in to look at frames before I made an appointment and was told I could look at frames unless I had a prescription. I don’t know who walks around with their eye glasses prescription in their pocket, but it felt very discriminatory to me.

Adrianne, Tamera, Dr. Johnson & the rest of the team were extremely helpful having booked me for an appt & installed the lenses within 2 days. Excellent customer service today! I visited the Collierville location and was not treated as if they wanted my business. I called this location, told them my issue, and as soon as I opened their door, we were greeted with smiles. The associates were very nice and we were assisted in a timely manner. I really appreciate the friendliness and the associate putting customer satisfaction first. This location is doing something right! I will have my frames soon. Thanks again!! Please note this store was much busier than the other location and still managed to provide outstanding service. I was very upset when I arrived, but I left pleased. This is my new location for my family!

There was no long wait. Everyone was friendly. They answered all of my questions.They expedited the paperwork and took my insurance without a hitch. I am not real fond of the fashions today, but they had such a large inventory that I was able to find the frames I was satisfied with. And, my glasses will be ready in a short time, about a week after the exam. The cost of glasses or contacts is outrageous but, my insurance paid abour 80% of the whole cost, including exam, frames and lenses.

I really woouldnt give them one star. They are very unprofessional and dont comment to their patients. They charged my insurance for my exam and I still had to pay for an exam. Had an appointment and they took the walk-ins before me. I will not recommend they to anyone and I definitely will not be going back.

I just want to take a minute to praise Dr Le at the vision works on Poplar Ave. she caught my daughter’s optic nerve swelling and got us in to see a neurological ophthalmologist the next day. Without her this would have gone unnoticed. Thank you again Dr Le.

I really appreciate you guys for being patient, for your smiles, being upbeat, quick, knowledgeable, and kind..My teens came in to get contacts on Sat. 8/25/18 and you guys were so kind and patient with them. You guys were understanding and patient while they learned to put them on and take them out. My daughter brought them in, and she said she didn’t think they were going to ever be able to put the contacts on or take them out. Hello my name is Devan McBride. I am 10 years old. I saw Ms. Adrienne, the manager at Visionworks, yesterday. She was the best lady. She fixed my 2 glasses even though it was hard for her. The reason one was hard for her is because it was really bent up. The other pair was hard because it was missing some parts in it.She told me to keep my glasses in the case. She is my friend now. I wish I could see her again soon.

I feel like cattle being led to slaughter. If you re not buying glasses, they will not help you. They refused to give me the PD numbers to get glasses elsewhere. Place is dirty. As they were cleaning the machine, staff dropped the cloth on the floor. They picked it up and continued to sterilize the machine. No one could tell me who owned the store. Manager said DR. owned it. Visionworks say they own it. No accountability and no one cares. They just want to sell glasses.

I had been a customer on another optical place for years. I was told by one of my friends about a great place in grapevine with good service I am happy to say I’d the best most satisfying excellent service at this store everyone with a smile so willing to answer all my questions so friendly with my children. I will be going there every year from now to get new glasses for the family. I was happy how the manager at that optical was so patient with my son showing him frames after frames my son is 10yrs old and to be honest no kid like to wear glasses at that age she convinced my son that he would be cool no matter what his school mates will say to him I felt she was going that extra mile for my son …THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!!

The two lady’s behind the desk should have gotten their names but were unprofessional and not friendly. I explained to her and even tried to show her my benefits but she told me that’s not right. I refused to pay a copay higher than what my VSP tells me to pay. I then went to another eye doctor and the receptionist asked if I could call to have my benefits released so I called and told me that she’s asking if your could release them so we could proceed and the lady told me no she can do it herself, I then asked why can’t you do it she just asked me to call and ask you. I told the receptionist she told me no and she had to call herself and ask them practically beg them to release my benefits which is so unprofessional!!! I hate their service if they are having a bad day they shouldn’t take it out on customers.

If I could give one star, I would. I went in to get contacts on 4/19/19. This “business” is full of a bunch of unprofessionals with secretary credentials and only 3 people that are actually certified. On top of that, the assistants failed to give me the proper contacts with the right prescription and blamed it on my eyes not being used to the contact. After expressing this concern they advised that I just wait it out, so I left and later almost got in a wreck. PLEASE NEVER GO!

I was so excited to see the negative reviews that I just had to chime in. These people suck sooooo bad. My last prescription hurt me so bad that I went back to my 4 year old pair and have not turned back. This was the SECOND time they have given me lenses that just plain suck - telling me that I will eventually get used to it. No thanks - would rather just get something that doesnt make me want to quit living. Why would you not call your customer to tell them this before they drive to your location? This is just poor customer service.

The staff was decently nice but selection is limited and the optometrist I went to messed up my prescription badly. When I asked for a refund (with Zach who was very confrontationall) they continually refused it. I filed them with my insurance so now I cant get a refund on my glasses but Ive wasted my yearly checkup. Very poor.

Ill never do business with the company again, thought they were doing me a favor by letting me come in late to do an emergency screening since I was out of contacts and just lost my glasses. They did a complete bait and switch, I ended up paying $668 for one pair of glasses and 6 month supply of contacts. Complete ripoff and had nothing but trouble trying to get them to ship the glasses to the right address. Never again will they get my money.

I went to my sons 6 month ophthalmologist appointment today only to find out that the lenses I had filled at VisionWorks 6 months ago were completely wrong. No wonder he has been having headaches and having a hard time focusing on his work at school! I asked to have these lenses replaced for free, and they said that was not going to happen since it was longer than 60 days from the date they were filled. Im sure that was buried in some promotion, and the staff were nice, but it is frustrating that my autistic son has been struggling more than he had to because of this mistake.Update since the above post: After a call from my feisty ophthalmologist, our lenses are being replaced. Thank you.

Zach was rude. and wanted to sell me glasses at all cost. I had my eyes dilated and I told him I had to come back because my eyes were very sensitive to the light, therefore I could not try on frames at the moment. He got an attitude and said well I have to cancel everything now. Thats why She (another rep from Vision works) asked you if you were getting glasses. I now started to get pissed as the way he was talking to me, I told him that I was getting some glasses, just not at that moment. He was very upset about it. I asked what he meant he had to cancel everything?? He just said well let me try to get in touch with your insurance and it would be like 20minutes. I said OKAY! I will wait. I always go to Vision Works at Wolchase or the one on Winchester by 385i and I never had an issue. Wont come back to the Vision Works ever again.
