My glasses broke when I was out of town. When I went to a glasses place out of town, they said the frames were not fixable and i had to buy another frame to insert my lenses. When I got home, I took my glasses to Visionworks. A man greeted me named Stephen. I told him what happened and he looked and said we can fix these. He tried, but the tool needed was at a different location far from my house. He asked if I could go out there. I said it was very far and I didnt know the area. He said he would go get them fixed for me and return them tomorrow. He said he would call when they were ready. He called the very next day. I went back and they were fixed!! He went out of his way to go to another store and get my glasses fixed for me so I wouldnt have to figure out how to get to another part of town. He reaffirmed that there, indeed, are good people in this world, albeit, you cant find them easily. Thank you Stephen for helping me out and spreading your kindness generously. And yes, I did return the frames I had to needlessly purchase from another company and get my money back! Thanks Stephen!!!!!

The most unprofessional place Ive been to in all of Memphis. That says a lot being in Memphis. This place every time I go, I can never get any help or service. The staff has a severe attitude problem. To me it seems like they only want to serve the more high end people. Someone like me with little less money that dont care to serve. They dont take most insurance which is like why, most people coming to you will be paying through insurance. Thats why I say they only one to serve more high end people. Those people pay out of pocket. Thats really what Visionworks wants you to do pay out of pocket, otherwise you dont matter. Nobody seems to give a care here. I would highly recommend not going here. There several better places in Memphis. I went to the Lenscrafters across the street from this location. Gave me attention as soon as I stepped through the door. Greeted me instantly. Visionworks in my opinion has gone down hill. All locations for the most part in Memphis are terrible.
I had a complete eye exam and frames picked out in under 1 and a half hours with no appointment!The staff are very friendly and helpful. A great place to get new glasses.

I was new to wearing glasses, so I didnt know what questions to ask or where to start. Id only received a prescription from next door after an eye exam visit. Brandy was extremely helpful in helping me understand how my insurance would apply to the transaction and where to begin. I wasnt familiar with what type of frame I wanted (because Id never worn glasses). Brandy gave me time to take pics in different frames and send to my wife for her feedback. She was very patient with me and allowed me to pick out my first pair of glasses.Taylor was thorough in going over my order as well as outlining some of the upgrades. My overall 1st experience here was great. It got very busy there during the time of my visit, however, they acknowledged every customer that walked in and assured them that they would be assisted shortly. Definitely an example of great customer service.

My husband and I went to this visionworks on poplar for the first time in june. I ASSUMED the exam we received was accurate and we both got glasses. They did not work for either of us! I dont blame them entirely; when I left the store and couldnt see well I shouldnt have left there without my doubts being addressed. Now I have had to get re-examined and get new glasses and my husband as well. My advice is buyer beware!

I’ve brought 3 pair of glasses from this location in the last year . Wasn’t satisfied with first two pair but was satisfied with how fast my glasses came back . I’m satisfied with third pair but it’s taking forever to come back. The sales lady was trying to sell me the most expensive stuff they had. They have not kept me updated with my purchase. I will not do business at this location again. Spent a lot of money within a year and quality of service isn’t worth it.
The second i walked in and saw all of the choices i had before me. I got nervous about picking the wrong pair. lol The staff was so welcoming and amazing customer service. We put the glasses in a tray the ones they liked and the ones i liked, then I tried on every pair about 15 times. The staff was amazing and my experience was awesome. The glasses i choose finally are the BEST!
Its rare to find genuine outstanding customer service. I called Visionworks last night in search of a particular frame for my lenses, because I broke my frame for my glasses. Now I was in panic mode because I need my glasses for an upcoming trip. I could not wait for my prescription to be filled. I spoke with Kayla last night and she searched hard for a certain BEBE frame for me. Unfortunately that frame is very hard to find. However because of the outstanding customer service provided to me over the phone I went into this Visionworks location. I was able to met Kayla and her outstanding manager Charles. They helped me find a frame that would fit my odd lenses that are stylish as well. Its hard to find superior customer service these days, yet Charles and Kayla gave genuine courtesy and excellent customer service. Once I return home I will definitely go back to use my benefits with a new pair of eyeglasses and lenses. Great job excellent staff!
I came to Vision works to get my eyes tested for new glasses. So far, so good. After selecting my frames, I was told the glasses would be ready on January 22. I called on that day only to hear the glasses broke and didnt pass inspection and they would be ready that same day or the next. A week later, I received a call telling me the exact same thing. I never received a call or an update afterwards. I had to physically go to the location to be told yet again THE SAME THING!!! I asked for a refund. Sorry professionalism, sorry handling of business, sorry communication. I hate this place and no, Im not crazy or disgruntled. I am so disappointed and I still have NO IDEA what happened. To them, who am I? I wont make a difference as they wont care about me, but I wont be back, if I can help it.
My glasses I purchased from them broke, and an easy repair (costco did it for free). They refused to repair because my prescription expired. I will never shop at this overpriced place again. Go to target optical.
No nice frames. The contacts I bought tear before I even put them on. They didn’t replace them. They had me contact the manufacturer.

I have found my new favorite place for work on my eyeglasses!Confident from other customers’ lovely reviews, I popped into Oak Court Mall, to the first floor location, just outside of Dillard’s.Charles and Kayla were all smiles and ready to help! Both my husband and I had broken frames; and, Charles was able to find reasonable frames which fit our current lenses! 🤓About an hour later, I was set with two new pairs of frames and plans to take advantage of the eye exam sale occurring between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve!See you all again soon when I return for new lenses! 😃
The customer service I received at Visionworks Oak Court Mall was fantastic. I walked in and Marsha and Jan were both ready and willing to help my son with his first pair of glasses. In fact we got two! They were ready in 30 minutes. I normally go to the store on Winchester but I will definitely be back here. Both stores are awesome. Great price too
I went in last week with my sister who was picking up her new glasses, and while I was there, Charles was incredibly kind enough to fix my glasses, a pair that I had not purchased through Visionworks. Many eyeglass stores wouldnt touch glasses not bought through their company, but Charles made a point to help fix my glasses anyway. Im so thankful! I didnt have time to run back to the original store to get them fixed before I left for college. Weve always received wonderful customer service at this location!
Let me start by saying I will always come to this store and I will recommend by word of mouth as well.I had cataract surgery done by Dr. Kristen Duncan and I had to get glasses afterward. I was told by Dr Duncan that I should NOT go to Visionworks because of complaints. She stated that they were having to remake too many orders. I found that the only place to file Medicare for me was Visionworks so, I resigned myself to going there.This was such a wonderful experience from “Hello, may I help you” to the last “ It’s been a pleasure serving you and if there is anything you need, please, don’t hesitate to call”I went to the office in Oak Court Mall and everyone was pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. They were also very happy people and as I explained what type of frames I wanted they knew exactly where to find them. I had my frames picked out in 15 minutes. My glasses were made as ordered and I purchased 3 pairs. Do not hesittto go there, you will be served well. Thank you Visionworks

Hope you plan on waiting three hours, the doctor seeing everyone BUT you, and false advertisement. Fyi, the buy one get one free ONLY applies if you pay for everything out of pocket. The other employees spent OVER an hour chatting instead of making ONE PHONE CALL to the insurance company. Not to mention the bathroom doesnt have toilet paper... We wont be wasting our time and money again on this place....

Definitely avoid this place. When we walked in we were surprised how few people were here. A few moments made it abundantly clear. The management is clearly in need of training or replacement. When answering a question by the manager he felt that the appropriate response was to laugh at and ridicule his clientele. There are simply too many other places to get glasses to put up with that.

We have been patients here for at least 10 years. We used to enjoy going to the eye doctor. The past 3 appointments have been a nightmare!Back in February, we had an appointment & sat and waited for n hour and a half while they let walk-ins go in front of us. We left without ever being seen. Yesterday, had another appointment and when we arrived we were told there was no doctor there. No one bothered to call & let us know.These people have NEVER heard of customer service!

Went into the store over the weekend to have my glasses adjusted. Not only was the staff knowledgeable, professional and friendly but it only took a few minutes to complete the adjustment and I was on my way. I definitely recommend this location!!

First of all, I have been a customer of Visionworks for over ten years and have gone to this particular location for my eyewear the majority of the time. But I am very disappointed and fed up with the service I have been receiving for the past year or so. Yes, the staff is friendly - for the most part - but their negligence is unexcusable.I have 2 pairs of glasses from November 2016 that now have some sort of lines running from the top part of my lenses to about the middle of my lenses and the same issue with another pair I got back in May 2017 that I recently discovered early this year (2018).I called and spoke with the GM, Charles, and he told me to bring in the glasses to see what they could do for me. (All of the glasses I choose are plastic frames, by the way.)This was on January 1st 2018. Anyway, I was told by the GM and another associate that these lines were caused by constantly reheating the glasses without first taking out the lenses, which the GM acknowledged was their doing. This happened over a period of time everytime I came in to have my glasses readjusted. He apologized and told me that they could reorder the lenses on the pair I just got back in May 2107, but for the older pairs of glasses, they could not do anything about those lenses. Lets just say this did not go over well with me. I did become very upset and let them know that I was dissatisfied with their service and that it was not right that I had to just keep wearing glasses that they damaged all because they wouldnt do their jobs properly. I let them know that the customer should not have to tell them to take the lenses out first before adjusting them. They should have known to do this. Instead, he and his staff were very negligent and irresponsible. In addition to the lines going through my lenses, this particular pair that I had got in May 2017 were also very crooked and they have still never been able to correct this issue. I let both of them know that I hardly ever wore the glasses for that reason alone. He apologized again and took the newer pair to have the lenses reordered.To make a very LONG story short, I am still having the same issues. The lenses in this pair of glasses has been reordered twice and the glasses are STILL crooked. I even had to call their corporate office at one point. They DID NOT really help. As I have repeatedly stated, I have had these glasses since May 2017 and have probably worn them maybe 4 or 5 times since then. Pathetic. I just have to continually wear the older pairs that they said they cannot fix due to the age of the prescription.Anyway, I am still trying, to this day, to get this matter resolved (March 6, 2018). I do not recommend this location or any other location for that matter. Theyre probably all the same.
