Everyone was friendly, they were effective, efficient and knowledgeable. I got some overdue repairs at an affordable price. Looking forward to using their services again. Five stars all around.
My experiences at Auto Repair at The Hive have always been amazing. They’ve always been straightforward about needed repairs, but they are also straightforward about what work may not be totally necessary. I don’t know a lot yet about how vehicles work or what repairs need to happen when, and most shops visits elsewhere have been very stressful and confusing. But my experiences here are always very productive and educational, and I never leave feeling confused or frustrated. They clearly know a lot about what they do, and know how to do things well. I don’t have to worry they’ll take shortcuts to save themselves time or skimp on costs. I always leave with a car that runs more smoothly and safely than it did coming in, and it gives me great peace of mind to know that the folks here have put great work into my car. Absolutely a great place to bring your vehicle, regardless of its stage in life.
Friendly and professional. We were very pleased with the service...they started and finished when they said they would. Id highly recommend The Hive for your next tire purchase.
Need a place to put on a new tire for my motorcycle and they were great. They let me buy my own tire so I could pick my own deal and they installed it. Theyre great to work with and I will be going back for all my bike maintenance I cant figure out. Im positive they do well on cars as well and I will take my car there when my warranty is up in a few months.
I use the hive on all of my automobile repairs, they do wonderful work at a very reasonable price. They have saved me money by finding issues before they became a serious problem. I would definitely highly recommend them!
Dont bother taking your motorhome here. I took mine in for an oil change and was told they wouldnt do it, even tho they did it last year and the guy I talked to the week prior to get the appointment didnt have a problem with it. So I drove my motorhome 10 miles into town only to be told they wont work on it, too big.
Kinda busy, but were updating me on information related to my car. They were professonal and provided repairs at a reasonable price.
They are quick, provide great communication and all of the services I have had done are done well and for a good price.
Excellent service and very knowledgeable crew. Highly recommend!!
Good friendly service, decent prices, good communication, no complaints!
I bought tires through them because of a mail in rebate. I didn’t realize that by the time I bought the tires that the mail in rebate had expired by one day. When I went to submit the mail in rebate, I discovered that I was a day late. I emailed the manager who apologized for what happened and told me to send in my receipt and he would do the mail in rebate on his end because they purchased the tires before the deadline and he would send me the check. He was very polite and handled the situation perfectly. I was happy with the overall service.
We got the oil changed for both of our vehicles here and the service was great! We really appreciated the “first responders” discount, what a deal! They also gave me a very reasonable quote for replacing my serpentine belt, which I will definitely be getting done there soon. They were timely, professional, and it was quite apparent they weren’t digging around under the hood looking to find problems that didn’t exist.
Took my vehicle here to have transmission fluid changed along with winter tires. They changed the tires and fluid but never changed the filter, it was too time consuming they said. When I got the bill, it was 2.5 hours to change the transmission fluid and they billed me $21 a quart for transmission fluid X 5 quarts! I looked up the same exact product at the local parts store for $9 dollars a quart. My total bill was $472. Then they said my front end was dangerous to drive, I shouldn’t even drive it across town...it would be another $1050. To repair front struts, and they cautioned...who knows what else we will find when we take it apart! I took the estimate home to look up the part number to find they were over charging me again on the parts by atleast $150 per strut/$300. I paid the bill, had my car towed to another place and the struts were repaired for $580, drives like a charm! The Hive guys were nice but they are slick! When I questioned the price of things they passed the buck around to each other before I got an answer, that’s what it costs us....hey, I don’t mind you guys making a little profit on parts but jeez, just reach in my pocket and steel money? If you go here, ask for an estimate, check the prices elsewhere because they price gouge!
Took my Honda Shadow in for a general check up. They said they replaced the spark plugs, got new tires, and did some other maintenance. My bike was working fine when i took it in, I just wanted to make sure everything was up to standards. After I got it back, my bike barely runs. It stutters non-stop. It makes popping noises/backfires whenever I accelerate. It lags to the point of stalling out. I spent over $1000 there only to get my bike back in WORSE condition than when I brought it to them. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!Reply: It is 10 months later because it has been winterized since September (past 8 months). The two months that I had it back, I was only able to ride it for roughly 30 miles on the bike. Those 30 miles were entirely at night when it was colder (~50 degrees), so I chalked the lagging up to me not warming the engine up enough. However, a couple days ago I de-winterized it. Since then, I have warmed it up twice for a long while and the symptoms were still present each time.
Always great service and friendly guys.
I got a used car inspection here done. They told me that my back tie rod had some play in it. They also said my cam caps and valve covers needed done. They also told me the transmission fluid needed changed.... I had nothing but good things to say about the hive until I came back to do the repairs. They told me then that there were two bad tie rods the entire front drive shaft needed replaced and power steering fluid was leaking only after i bought it. I think they wanted to make money off me so they scammed me into buying it only to have all this brought to light right after.... Will never be returning absolutely terrible. Do not go here, scammers cheats and liars.
I really like this place so far! I took my car here for a pre sale check, then continued going after purchasing that car. It needed an intake cleaning, so they did a walnut blast. I didnt expect much of a difference but the car drives noticeably smoother! They even sent me pictures of the before and after which was quite an impressive difference! If I need another intake cleaning or a similar service Ill definitely be coming back. During the other repairs they were very upfront about any other damage or problems they noticed.
I love that these guys explain what is needed and why. They are very transparent with the process and all around good people. It’s nice to be confident in the work being done every time I take a vehicle in.
They get the work done quickly and it is a high quality. Their prices are very fair. Would highly recommend them for anyone who is having car issues.
Outstanding service. The Hive took my car straight from Les Schwab, looked at their notes, and got right to work. They were understanding that I commute to Pullman daily for work but up front that they didnt feel my car was safe to drive until the drive line fully replaced. Although I had to leave my car with them for 3 days, my repairs got done within the time frame given, and I wound up with a better part at the lower quoted price. My old Outback drives like a dream again. Thank you, Rob and everyone else!
I dropped my car off at 8:30 after making an appointment a few days earlier, explaining a specific problem I was having with my car. I suggested it may be a spark plug issue, but they said I was probably wrong. At 1:30, I got a call asking what was wrong with my car. I explained the problem again. At this point, nothing had been done. At 4:30 I called to ask if anything had been done with my car, they explained they hadnt looked at it since they called me at 1:30. I told them I was coming to pick it up, and when I arrived at 4:45, they were were rushing to read my cars computer. For reading the computer 15 minutes before close, and possibly driving my car (but somehow not hearing the very obvious sputtering I described), they charged me 200$ for 2 hours of diagnostic work.I took my car to another mechanic who told me I needed an engine tune up and some spark plugs replaced. They were timely and understood my description of the problem the first time. The total cost of that visit including parts and labor was $350.If there was no time to get to my car I shouldnt have been charged 200 dollars. If you are looking for a competent, reasonably priced mechanic, look elsewhere.
I took in my car for what I thought was a slow leak in one tire and got a call back saying all 4 tires were showing cords and very dangerous to drive. I ended up taking the car to les schwab because I still had a warranty on the tires which made them more affordable over there, but the hive graciously charged nothing for examining the problem. Thank you guys, you probably literally saved my life! Really didnt want to become a rl ghost for Halloween. 👻👻👻
Ive been to other places in town and this place is the best! Professional, friendly and at a great price! They did actually what was expected of them and with a smile.
Have taken my Jeep to this shop 3 different times for when something came up that was beyond my skill set. Most recently I had $1,500 worth of work done (they installed 4.88 gears) and a small seal ended up needed to be redone. I have waited to write this review, and they stood by their work. Happy to report a positive experience, but its deserved when they back up their work. Friendly guys
I was visiting a college with my daughter when my vehicle had a problem. It was Friday at 2pm. The hive took my vehicle, stayed late and fixed it for me. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough.
Transparent pricing, great team. Whilst relatively new to the City of Moscow I think they’ll be a mainstay in the community for many years to come.Easy to reach via phone, email and myriad social media formats. Very responsive.
Had to take my car in for a diagnosis to determine a problem it was having. Though the diagnosis was bad news and I knew I wouldnt get it fixed, they were so fair to me on the price to check it out that I knew I would be back when I got a different car! Thank you!
2 stars rather than 1 because at least they were nice? Main problem is that the repair went from $700 to $1200 without calling to ask hey do you want to proceed with the repairs? Told me they did what they had to to get my car off the lifts without updating me on the repairs. The kicker is the steering still slips and knocks which is the problem I brought it in for. Would have rather been told up front my car had more repairs than I want to know about so I could have dropped it off at the junkyard.
I recently took in my pickup to have some tires mounted ad balanced, an alignment done, and oil changed (i supplied the oil) I recieved a call later that day from Rob saying Upper ball joints both have play, as does track bar. i personally replaced all these parts less than 5k miles ago (track bar less than 1k) i told them to just do the tires and oil change. after checking my oil less than 48hrs after i noticed it is beyond the full mark on my dipstick. Another item noted by The Hive was that my brake fluid is also recommended to be replaced which again, i replaced a short while ago. I took the vehicle to a different shop to have a second opinion and they note that there was indeed NO play in the ball joins and a very slight amount in the track bar, though not enough to worry about. I personally will not be going back to The hive with any vehicle i care about and i am already regretting taking two of my pride and joys there to have a few things done. Might i add i was quoted over $800 to have the front end work redone. Attached you will find my invoice and alignment paperwork from a different shop.
These guys treated me like a human being with a brain. They took the time to fully explain what was wrong so that I truly understood what needed to be fixed. Would be nice to have been greeted right away even though they were all under various vehicles. Bonus: There were a few things available to keep my small child occupied while we waited on the comfy couch.
My older truck needed some extra TLC. The shop owner Rob and mechanics lifted my truck the next morning after I called and diagnosed the issues. Rob discussed each suggested repair and helped parse out immediate vs. future work. As someone who enters any mechanics shop with trepidation, all employees were friendly, honest about the situation, and finished the job two days earlier than anticipated. Keep this shop in mind the next time you hit a bump in the road.
These Guys are a new and growing shop in Pullman. They have the best pricing and most transparent attitude of any shops we have worked with. They now do all the work on our farm pickups, and we buy all of our tires from them. (best pricing we could find for trucks or small tractor)They also rent shop space on the weekends (a godsend for us to do winter maintenance on our small tractor since we dont have our own shop space)Parking could be better but everything else top notch.Fair pricing, small but cool space and they stand by their work.
I’ve always been skeptical of car shops, however the team here got me in quick and gave me an honest diagnosis of the problems i was having and what was the best for my budget. Replaced my power steering and water pump on my jeep liberty within just a few days. Highly recommend.
These guys are awesome, they do really high quality work and for a really good price. By far the best auto shop I have been to. Call these guys first of you need work done.
I have serviced my vehicle there several times and the service was great. They are patient enough to explain the cars condition to me, and are transparent in pricing.
These guys go above and beyond. I feel like they are truly there to help you and get you the best deal possible. They even offer renting a bay to the local Automotive Enthusiast Club on campus, which no other shop in town does.
Blew a gasket and thought it was the end of my car, but they went above and beyond replacing the engine for a good rate. Had some trouble with the replacement some months later and they repaired it for free. Theyve won my loyalty.
Did the job excellently at reasonable cost. Would definitely recommend this shop.
These guys got me and my car all the way to San Diego Ca and it was cheaper than the initial estimate
Small, honest and friendly. Ive done oil changes through them for a while but this last visit was my first repair visit. They were so honest about what needed to be fixed now, what didnt and what could wait. I walked away with more repairs done than we thought it would need and STILL walked away under the original quote. Heck yea.
Great service with a helpful front desk
Amazing, quality service!Kirk can really handle his wrenchs!
Breaks down all the things you’re paying for so you’re not getting ripped off. Awesome!
Great guys, work was done quickly and at a great price can’t beat that. Plus they have a shop cat, who doesnt love a shop cat?
Amazing place! They were quick and honest.
Fast service and friendly staff
Great people and great service
