Very compassionate. Best mechanics in town. Feel very happy with their service.
Please read the whole review if you are considering going here.I hate writing bad reviews, and I try to assume the best in everyone, but how bad my experience here was pretty hard to justify. Ive read nothing but good things from other people, so do your research, but here are three reasons why I wont be going back to Mountain View Auto.(Tried to overcharge me) First time I went in they tried to charge me for extra parts that werent needed, double the price. When I pointed out they were charging for extra parts, they changed it, and said it was an accident. I figured it could have happened to anyone, so I came back.(Didnt fix what I asked) I brought my car back in for new serpentine belt and to fix a high idle. Two days later they say that they couldnt get either either act up, so I pick up my car and turn it on. Both act up. I got the mechanic and showed him, and turns out, yup it had a high idle and the belt was squealing. Was without my car for two days and they didnt fix a thing. They also gave me a list of other needed repairs, see below.(Said ball joint was bad. All of them were fine) On top of not fixing the two things I had asked them to, they claimed I needed a new ball joint and I shouldnt drive the car at interstate speeds because of how bad it was. On top of that my they said my spark-plugs were bad, needed new valve cover, and wanted me to pay them $100 to clean my battery. Felt fishy so i took it elsewhere and NONE of the joints were bad, I even had them inspected twice to make sure. The rest of the repairs I had done at a fraction of the price Mountain view quoted me.Id like to think these were accidents or misunderstandings, the employees were always polite and communicated with me well, even didnt charge for some of the inspections. But after three bad experiences, and the dishonesty I experienced, I wouldnt recommend going there.
Great people n always honest..hard too find honest mech these days..great group of guys..
This is the best place I have ever taken my Subaru. So much knowledge and so willing to explain in laymans terms to admitted mechanically challenged person such as myself. Even came in under budget. I would go nowhere else.
Very polite- provided excellent service. Very helpful and polite.
Always honest and friendly. A place you can truly trust. They go above and beyond for their customers. Life is stressful enough but when you have the Mountain View automotive team in your corner it’s one less thing You have to stress about. I know when I take any of my cars in whether it’s for an oil change or something that needs to be fixed it will be done with Precision, NO added junk sales tactics, and in a timely manner.
I really like working with this shop. They know what theyre doing and take good care of us. Id recommend you consult with them on what work and parts are best for your cars age, your budget, and how long you plan to own it. They tend to recommend preventative maintenance and OEM parts, truly because they want you to have the best long-term fixes and parts and not because theyre wanting your money, but theyre knowledgeable about the pros and cons of each choice you can make and will respect your decisions. Really glad we have them here in town.
Roger and the team provide quality service, paying attention to every detail and taking the time to fully explain everything. Not only that, but Roger went above and beyond to help me work through some difficult decisions with my old car and gave helpful recommendations for getting a new car. As someone who has never felt super comfortable around cars or mechanic shops, I have always felt welcomed without judgement by Roger and all the friendly staff. Cannot recommend them enough!
No better place to have your Japanese vehicle serviced or repaired. Once you get past Rogers Subaru jokes, there is a pleasant waiting room. (I would not drink the coffee, but take your chances.) If you have an appointment, the service is thorough and fairly quick. Prices are competitive, any probably better than the quicky lube places because these people REMEMBER to replace drain plugs and oil filler caps. Your car will get a very complete safety check. The new facilities are going to make a great place even better. I am impressed with all the environmental controls for recycling used motor lubricants and coolants. Ive never had them try to sell me some service I did not need. Highly recommended.
Fast friendly knowledgeable have been a customer of these guys for over 30 years!
Took my 2000 Honda Civic in for a host of issues, the most expensive of which was replacing the timing belt. Quoted me $1700 for everything which had me questioning if I should just get a new car. When I picked it up, they ended up charging me $1300. With everything I was asking them to do, they wanted a little lee-way with the price so that I wouldnt be shocked if the worst situation did happen. That was two years ago; havent had an issue with the car since. Highly recommend these guys. They had the chance to take more money than they needed but didnt.
They were all professional, polite and knowledgeable. Also, their willingness to go above and beyond to care for my car and share with me industry standards for my brand and model to help me keep pace in what I need to do to care for my car without breaking the budget was more than I asked for and reason to return again for such excellent service. They also honored the estimate when an unexpected price was found on my final bill. True Professionalism worth making your go-to auto guy! :)
These folk know their business inside and out! I will not take my Toyota anywhere else!
Ive been using this shop for my Subarus and Hondas for years, and have had nothing but positive experiences. They dont nickel and dime you for stuff like replacing air filters, or tire rotation. Theyre always happy to give me a ride when I drop off my car. Basically they dont try to rip you off, and they treat your car like its their own. What more do you want? Recommended!
I have been taking my honda to Denys for the past 10 years, its always excellent service with a personal touch. They give you a fair price and do a thorough job. I would highly recommend them.
I recently moved to the area and was recommended here for some electrical work. I made an appointment, and one of the mechanics offered to drive me to the mall while I waited for the work to be done. Turns out, the work was under a specific warranty for my vehicle and the mechanic called the dealership, made sure the warranty was still valid for my specific vehicle, set up an appointment for me, and called me with the results. I was so impressed with their dedication to customer service and satisfaction as well as their dedication to get things done right. I will go here for any and all services needed on my vehicle for the entire time I live in the area. They also do an evaluation of the rest of your vehicle without prompting, and let me know when I would need to get everything else serviced. I cant express how happy I am with this service, and how kindly I was treated by every person at the shop. I cant recommend this place enough.
My daughter had her car towed there late one night after getting stuck about 15 miles south of town. Turned out to be an alternator and wiring problem. The guys went way beyond the alternator replacement to find the root cause of the problem and fix it right. Thanks for making my kids car safe for her to drive again and going the extra step.
I consider Mountain View Automotive, LLC a first class auto service and repair center run and operated by competent and trustworthy personnel. Highly recommended
Deny, Roger, and the entire crew at Denys are just stand-up dudes. They will give you the time-of-day about your repairs, be honest about what you need and dont need, and are top-notch mechanics. I usually would never write a review about anything, but these guys are so exceptional that I want to do my part to promote their business.
Deny is incredibly helpful and honest. He has fair pricing and is very knowledgeable. Would recommend to any Subaru driver!
Decently priced and efficient service. A friend recommended to me and they (correctly) said:[Mountain View Automotive] are good people.
Always been very helpful and knowledgeable for our Subarus. Way better than dealing with a dealership.
The folks over at Deny’s Auto were great. I recently had an issue with my ’05 Mazda 6 GT wagon check engine light turning on and off right before Christmas so I took my vehicle to Deny’s. Roger helped me out right away and ran a scan within the first couple of minutes of my arrival. He explained very clearly what each of the codes meant (those that were not Mazda specific) and informed me that he would contact Mazda right away to check on the specific codes. The next day, Roger got back to me with a lot of very detailed information about what all of the codes may mean. Seeing as it was the eve of Christmas Eve, I thought it was great he got back to me so quickly. The following Monday, the 28th of December, Roger got back with me about the repair that needed to be made on a cracked intake hose and that the part was ordered. With the time crunch of the holidays, and my planned trip to Seattle on Wednesday morning, the 30th, the guys over at Deny’s didn’t mess around and managed to make the repairs, test drive the vehicle to check the codes again, and do a tire rotation for a great price all before I needed to head out. Roger even showed me the damaged part when I asked about it, being curious about these things. I will definitely return, if needed, and will recommend the team over at Deny’s to those who ask for a reliable and reasonably priced shop.
Had some extreme difficulties changing out my 2011 Subaru Legacy passenger low beam head lamp. Could not do it. Drivers side was also a challenge. Stopped in to see if they could change it for me. Roger told be about a service recall from Subaru on the head lamps from 2010-14 Legacys. I will take them my Subaru business in the future.
Very knowledgeable and friendly...highly recommend!!!
I recommend getting a quote and shopping around before taking your car here. After an oil change, they tried to convince me to have a dozen more things done there, more than half of which were not necessary and all of which was about 130% what a fair price should be.
Real honest mechanics & staff
