I came to this Ortho Mattress on the recommendation of a friend and the reviews were so good I decided to give the place a chance. Shopping for a mattress can feel like shopping for a car at times - and I was getting to my whits end with high pressure salesman who didnt know anything about the product they were trying to sell me.That is until I came here.The showroom is open and airy, lots of windows. I was greeted by a gentleman with a southern manner named Jesse (pronounced Jess). He was very polite, answered all of my questions knowledgeably and without condescension. He took me around the showroom and had me lay on several mattresses to help me asses which firmness / softness and which materials would suit my needs. He asked me a few basic questions about my health that pertained to the type of support I would need. He would direct me to different mattresses bases on my responses to his questions, customizing the tour and assistance to me and my specific preferences and needs - something I definitely had not experienced at other stores.Once I picked out my mattress - the Aireloom Jasmine: Luxetop Plush - we completed the paperwork, and again he explained everything in detail, taking care to ensure I understood - especially topics pertaining to my warranty and financing. He was able to get me a great deal on the mattress, frame, mattress encasement, pillow and pillow encasement. Since I purchased on a Saturday night, my delivery was scheduled for Tuesday.There was a bit of a mishap with the delivery company - which is not associated directly with Ortho Mattress I later found out, they are a third party delivery company. This caused a day delay in the delivery of my mattress - which was very inconvenient for me because I had to be at work the next day. I spoke with Jesse about this issue, and he worked VERY hard, going back and forth through out the day between his regional managers and the delivery company to ensure the issue was resolved. He also gave me a 2 hour delivery window of my choice (normally a $150 charge) for the next day for my trouble. Jesse worked tirelessly and kept me informed every step of the way making sure that my mattress was delivered in a timely fashion. I have never had a store manager treat me (or anyone I know) with such respect or work so hard to resolve an issue.I HIGHLY recommend coming here if you are shopping for a new mattress - ask for Jesse. I have already sent several friends and family members to him, all with the same wonderful experience as I had.

When we came to Ortho Mattress, we came trying to do a match price from a different store. Brandon really went the extra mile to help us get it and we ended up with more than expected. It was the end of the night and Im sure he wanted to go home but he never made us feel rushed. The entire transaction was smooth and quick. We would definitely recommend coming to this location. Delivery is speedy so we will be enjoying our new mattress in just a couple of days.

Everyone was fantastic and knew how to help us. Our salesperson, Jess, has to be one of the friendliest and most genuine people Ive ever met. They were so patient as our 3 year-old tried just about every mattress in the place. And on top of that, we got a great deal. Cant say enough about Jess and the other fellas. Awesome.

Sal originally asked me to make a 5 star rating before any sale had been made, for “$100 off” but did not apply the discount. Then he sold me a showroom mattress without telling me it was the showroom model (that people come in off the street and lay down on) at nearly TWICE the sale price and when I called to complain only gave me $153 back (the sale should have been ~$400, I paid $715). To get the replacement mattress delivered to me at a time I was not working was also a nightmare (required multiple call backs).There are a few other smaller mattress stores within feet of this place and I recommend you shop at ANY of those. My entire experience with this establishment has left me feeling cheated and scammed the entire way. Will not be resting easy.

I have a bed. That is one of the biggest privileges to have in this world. I’m happy with the bed and deal I got at Ortho Mattress Pasadena. I know it sounds cliche, but Sal was so helpful in picking a bed. We originally went in with just a “looking” mentality, but he was so kind and gave us such a great deal that we are fully satisfied. FULLY. We know that if you go there you will be too. You won’t be disappointed.

I went to four mattress stores and this store gave me the best deal. Chris was attentive, personable, and extremely helpful. He helped me pick a mattress that suited me without breaking the bank. Not fully sure if I wanted that mattress just yet, i was able to lock in the price. Andrew helped me when I went back and decided to finalize the purchase, and he was very helpful as well with finalizing the purchase and going over the warranty. Its been a month since i received my mattress set and no complaints thus far!

Sal was awesome. My brother and I was in tight situation of finding an adjustable bed for our mother. She was in the hospital with a bad neck muscle spasms and we wanted to get her an new comfortable bed. Well, I was stuck at the hospital with my mother and my brother was at work. He was very detailed about the bed we should get and he promised we would get the bed within 8-9 hours after our called. So my girlfriend and I went to buy her 85 year old mom a new bed. We knew going in what we wanted, a good bed that’s comfortable but felt like a bed and not a pillow. Her mom is real simple and old school so we knew what we were going for. Found a good bed at an amazing price and was helped by Carlos. This guy man oh man is awesome he worked with our price range and didn’t force anything on us kept us in our budget. My guy Carlos was thorough with asking about my future mother in law making sure she would be comfortable in the bed. How and where do I begin... So the day began crazy I walked into the wrong store looking for a mattress deal for Black Friday at a completely different mattress store and I received so much more. I was treated by a gentleman named Carlos and it was all up hill under there. He asked me about myself, my sleep habits and my regular bed routine. Mind you I was just looking for deals nothing more. We tried out a couple of beds that I considered to be “not so hot” then we got to the lansdown and I feel completely in love. I did not want to get up at all and he was so detailed with benefits of the mattress and also tried several adjustments to get the fit just right around my body, don’t get me wrong it was perfect but he had it hug my body like a glove on a cold winter night. Hands down the day turned out so well and I am so happy. To some people it’s just a mattress to me it was something life changing. I recently had gastric bypass and an 130 down so I needed a better mattress and Carlos made this happen. It was so warm and touching at how empathetic he was with my health concerns and with me being comfortable in the bed. With going through surgery I’ve been through hell and back mentally and physically so it was a life changing day for me and I didn’t even think it would start off or end like that. I can’t wait to fall into heaven every night. Thanks to Carlos the angel in disguised and wrong directions from Waze I ended up in this wonderful place. I can honestly say that Carlos didn’t make me feel like a sale he made me feel like a family member. Hands down he is the man and I’m adding him to my Christmas list for Santa’s blessings!

This place sold me a mattress 4 years ago with 10 years warranty, but what they didn’t say is the warranty is through a 3rd party and you have to pay 60$ to send someone to inspect the mattress if is needed to be replaced or not. When I decided to purchase the mattress the guy told me to just give them a call and they will send someone to take care of it, I went there to ask about the warranty they told me to call a number, when I called the number they told that it’s a wrong department and gave me a complete different number and the story starts with this mattress, I paid more than 1500$ Poe a mattress that lasted no more than 4 years. This place is a scam and a lie the people working there don’t care about the costumer after selling him their product, I do not recommend this place at all, I will never buy anything from this place. Learn how to earn costumers, not how to screw them up

Had a very unpleasant experience here at Ortho Mattress today. I was trying to get a pillow for my friend. The moment I walked in, a guy greet me while sitting IN His Seat. and he was wearing a shirt with the top 3 buttons unbuttoned (so the shirt was half opened). I know its a hot day, but can you just be a little bit professional, when a customer is here? I walked to him, told him what I need and what I am looking for, then he told me Oh, they are right there. (only using his words, still sitting down, no pointing no directions). So I looked and found the brand of pillows, and I asked him, which one are better for supporting the neck? Whats the difference between these two. He just answered they are pretty much the same, you just have to try them( still sitting in his seat, eyes on his computer). Are you kidding me ? How are memory foams and fiber pillows the same??? So I just gave up on him. I tried on the pillows myself, decided which one to get. I walk back to him, then he just asked me how am I gonna pay it. (still sitting) I gave him my card, (finally he got up, and walked 2 steps away from his seat to swipe my card). Somehow my card got declined, then he got very frustrated and asked Hey, what happened? Why its declined Are you kidding me ? Like I purposely prank you with a not working card? There could be so many reasons why the card got declined. How do I know? So I gave him another card, it worked. Finally this unpleasant experience is coming to an end, and he can glue himself back to his beloved seat. I used to love this place, and I had recommended so many of my friends to get their mattress and pillows here, but now? I totally understand that, I am not getting something big, or giving you guys some big business today, but Ive been here many times by myself or with my friends getting Tempur-Pedic Mattresses and pillows. All the salesmen I met before were very nice and helpful. But the one I met today really ruined the whole experience.

I originally left a google review of the great service Sal provided when I bought my mattress back in July. I opted to finance it with the intentions of paying it off within the 90 day promotion period(no interest)...my 90 days was up 10/8/19 I called on 10/4/19 to pay the remaining balance only to discover they have overcharged me and now im getting the run around. Peter claims he cannot access my information because Sal the manager is the one who sold me the mattress. I asked for Sal to call me last Friday no call, I called back 10/9 Peter told me Sal was out of the office and was told to call him today I call today and Peter tells me Sal is working at another store and he will call Sal on his cell to have him call me. Still no call. I called back from my work phone no answer, hung up called from my cell phone no answer. I know Peter is refusing to answer as they have caller ID. He called me back Wednesday when I called because he saw it on the caller ID. So UNPROFESSIONAL! Its a simple mistake that they need to correct yet Im getting the runaround...Just picked up Club 4 pillowtop from Ortho and Sal was amazing! A1 customer service, made my mattress search easy and simple. On to better sleeping 🙂

This unfortunate tale inspires a lawsuit, involving Sal, but kindness should always prevail. With kindness and respect, i entered the Ortho store on Colorado/Lake in Pasadena, and politely inquired if I may kindly please try out a continuous coil mattress. The male person, Sal, who turns out to be the district manager for the LA/Pasadena area tells me “sure most of our mattresses are continuous coil”. In the while as the tale unfolds, a female companion Caucasian, who also turns out to lack integrity and practice in deception is about her desk. Sal, the district manager has a shaved head on the taller side, Armenian or middle eastern looking for a point of reference, with a haughty and arrogant attitude, appearing forth dishonest as one’s moral compass may pick up, and later found to be extremely unprofessional as well. I kindly and politely with courtesy inquired for a continuous coil to try, and he deceptively puts me on a pocketed coil and says it’s the same with his arrogant, haughty attitude. I then kindly explain the difference between the two. Then he condescendingly asks what do I do for a living and then says his sister is an engineer, implying I’m uneducated and poor. I then leave and kindly say “Thank you Madam” to be polite to her as I pass her desk.Next day, I stopped by again after shopping in other Mattress places. At Ortho, Sal the district manager appeared not to be present, and only the female, and I enter by the South doors and kindly and politely with kind deference approach her and respectfully nod my head and say “Hi Madam, would you kindly please inform me if you happen to have a continuous coil mattress that I could try or you may point to so I can check it out and try it for a possible purchase?” She says, looking to agitate and a fight, “Oh you are the guy who was here yesterday, who dashed off”. I politely say, “I was here yesterday Madam.” Her face told everything that she is just carrying water for him, cut from the same cloth, and no sense of professionalism and integrity. She says “Its 20 minutes to 8 closing, why are you here?” At this point, i’m flabbergasted at the question and since I just explained to her why I am here, so said nothing further. I am thinking to myself, isn’t opening hours there for a reason. Frankly, ladies and gentleman, I was busy all day and the timing just worked out. I have been to other stores during similar times, and they enthusiastically received me. Then she says “Didn’t he already tell you yesterday?” I politely and kindly say “Madam, unfortunately, the gentleman did not inform me, that’s why I came today to perhaps hopefully be informed by you.” I was polite fellow readers, the truth is again that he deceptively puts me on a pocketed coil and pretends it’s a continuous one. At this point, she takes out her cell phone, and she tells me “You need to leave”, while being very nasty and rude the whole time, lacking class. I am standing there stunned at this lack of decorum and immaturity, surprised that people like this exist. As a last attempt, I say “Madam, I kindly came to look for the type of the mattress”. And then I start walking towards the exit to maintain the dignity of the situation, and just for a moment glanced at a spec on mattress if its continuous or not as walking by, and as doing so, hear her on her cell phone telling the person on the other side that “you are on a speaker phone”. At this time I am near the exit door and on my way out, and looked at another spec of a mattress right by the door, and she is following me and i hear a voice on the phone she is holding and following me with, that sounded like Sal, the district manager, yelling like a drill sergeant “Sir, you need to leave, you need to leave now”, and kept repeating himself. I looked over my shoulder and saw this human train-wreck behind me and felt very sorry for these 2 beings, to be in such a decrepit state to behave like this. By extension others are now unwelcomed here by these 2.I feel sorry for both of these people. I wish them well.
