I had originally taken my 6 speed manual Dodge 3500 to a not so great mechanic. It costed me more to have the other mechanic ruin my clutch than it did for AAMCO to fix the mess he made.My truck is my main source of income. It took about 2 weeks for them to get my truck 100% but now I have no worries towing with it.This is the only shop I will take any of our trucks to for transmission work from now on.

This shop is so full of integrity! This is the second time I’ve thought that I had transmission trouble (this current car died in the middle of an intersection, and would not go into any gear). They found the problem - that actually was not a transmission issue after all - and they were able to fix the other issue, and get the car running perfect again. The last time I came to this shop was because that previous car I had just would not go forwards sometimes, even though I was giving it plenty of gas. That time it ended up being a problem with my brakes locking up randomly. So whether your issue is the transmission, or not, they WILL find the true problem and fix it in a super professional and honest way.

I needed a wheel bearing change on a BMW X5. I called several shops about getting the work done. I ended up pulling into AAMCO in Pensacola by mistake. I was supposed to go to another shop near them. The guy at the counter asked me what I was needing done and gave me an estimate. WHOA! It was far less than ALL the other quotes! The work was done the same day and right on time like they said. No surprises on the bill and the car sounded perfect. I give them an OUTSTANDING rating! Keep up the good honest work. I now have a shred of faith in a local shop...

This shop is the go to place for hot rods and classic cars. Outstanding staff and builder were able to correct the linkage problems in my 1951 Chevy Pickup three speed transmission. Only shop in town with the knowledge base to work on older vehicles. Very professional management and staff at fair prices.

I thought I had a transmission issue with my car. I was just about to leave town when it broke and wouldnt drive when in gear and I couldnt shift into Park either. I called 2 shops before AAMCO. Both of those shops just didnt seem to care to much and wanted money upfront before they would even look at the car. So, I called AAMCO and not only said they say they would look at it for free but also hooked me up with a tow company to get my car in there. Then they waived the tow fee since I got my car fixed by them. They let me know exactly what was wrong and what he was going to fix along with a total price quote. It ended up not being the transmission and I was able to save thousands of dollars.This place is top notch. Communication is great, prices are fair and my car rides excellent now. Would definitely recommend this shop to anyone needing any type of vehicle work. Ill for sure be bringing my car back. Thanks!

Its very hard as a female to find a trusted mechanic. I already knew what the problem was but I wanted to see what they would tell me. And the sweet surprise is that they didnt take advantage & charged a reasonable price. They were also able to provide a tow truck & had it ready that afternoon. Took my vehicle in here to get a 2nd opinion. After their diagnosis I did not even need all of the things that I was told I needed from the other place. They were very professional, communicated very well and made sure I understood what was needed and why. I will definitely return here if /when I need more work done.

Had my other mechanic look over my car for weeks and couldn’t figure out the problem. These guys had it for an hour and knew! Josh is super courteous and helpful, and answered all my questions. They we easy to work with, got my car back quickly, gave me a fair price for a transmission, and even helped me get a rental. Everyone hates to have to replace a transmission, but if you have to, these are the folks to go to! They do other work there too and I’m sure would be just as amazing at that.

Helpful and friendly. They will give you a ride if you have to drop your vehicle off for several hours. Josh is trying to do everything he can for your car and financial concerns. Im very satisfied with the work he and the mechanic (Im sorry I didnt get his name!) did for me and will definitely be coming back when I can!

Nice folks and very accommodating. Reasonably priced. I get synthetic oil and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t as much as I used to pay at another place. Also, quickest oil change ever! I work nearby and told them they could keep it for awhile, but it didn’t take long at all.

Jeremy and Joshua were both extremely helpful with my truck. They had a tech ride with me to listen to the sounds of my concern, they lifted my truck and found my issue within little time. The whole process was clear and explained to me so that I understood what was wrong. They were able to quote mr and even helped me look into warranty information. If I ever have another issue I will return.

While they offered useful information, it took 4 days to get my car inspected.

I have to give this business 5 stars! I had my car towed in for a transmission service. My car was not shifting into gear properly. Josh assured me that they would give my car a thorough inspection to find out exactly what was wrong. I was relieved that everything was ok. My car was just low in transmission fluid! Yesterday my gears got stuck in reverse.So after getting a run around with the car dealership, I came HERE. They were knowledgeable and didnt try to make me feel my car had other issues. Quick and fast service. Well be bringing all our cars here from now on.

The guys here helped me out big time! My exhaust fell as I was driving and I happened to be right down the road. They were extremely busy but squeezed me in within an hour and put it back together. On top of that the staff was very friendly and seem to care a lot about their customers. Well definitely be coming back in the future.

Over the past weekend (March 8th 2020) my 3 1/2 year old 47k miles F150 sprayed red fluid all done the side of the vehicle. I immediately pulled over and discover the transmission was not engaging. So I did the usual call roadside assistance etc. the towing company originally took it to World Ford in Pensacola where they ultimately did not have the courage or spine to work on a simple blown transmission pressure hose. They stated “the vehicle had been in a previous accident and has a high end performance radiator (which was installed by a professional licensed company)” This is where I meant these awesome guys at AAMOC. Jeremy a guy who is simply awesome, kept me updated basically hourly to let me know how things were going. They understood my situation and was not intimidated by the fact I have a performance radiator and my vehicle had been in a previous wreck. Simply put I would rather pay these guys (who is extremely fair in pricing) rather than have a ford dealership with warranty work on my vehicle. My F150 Lariat 5.0 is running so smooth. These guys are honest, hard working fellows who will do the research and treat your car as if it was there own. I know I worried them to death but they assured and answer every question I asked them. They never once got frustrated. I have suggested the company who I work for to send all vehicles to this place for service. AAMOC knows what they are doing. If you have any troubles out of your vehicle, CALL THEM! I am telling you, you will not regret it.

I have or HAD been dealing with a transmission problem that NO ONE seemed able to resolve UNTIL I called Joshua and his guys. Not only were they VERY professional, worked in a timely manner but they also broke everything down into laymans terms so I could understand the scope of work that needed to be done. I was extremely impressed with the customer service and work Aamco did on our Ford Escape. We are a military family and just transferred from the West Coast. We found trouble with our ABS on Sunday night and were able to call Aamco bright and early on Monday morning, Joshua took my call and was very professional and informative from the beginning on the status and diagnostics. We are extremely happy with the work that was done and they have emailed and called to follow up with our family vehicle. It is always comforting to know that the place you take your vehicle for repair cares for the customers needs and safety. We will continue to use Aamco with our future needs, even just an oil change!

I came down from GA for Memorial weekend but it got rough the second day there. Thought I broke my O/D on my F150. Looked through the reviews to find a transmission shop and found Josh and AAMCO. Took the truck in Tues and asked if possible Id like to leave Wed but could push it to Thurs if needed, Josh said hed have me out Wed. Turns out it was a lot more wrong than i thought and it wouldve taken too long to rebuild. Josh just gave me a NEW TRANSMISSION, for the same price quoted, so i could hit the road Wed!! Get home Wed night, unload and get settled. Josh called me to make sure i made it home safely and ask if anything was running weird.If i could rate higher i absolutely would! These guys are top notch, no BS, and do what they say. If i ever needed a transmission worked on in the Pensacola area again Im going to Josh. No if, and, or buts about it.

This company went above and beyond my expectations for service. They towed my car, their prices were lower than they originally quoted and they informed me of optional repairs they would make for me at cost if I was interested. We were very pleased with the kindness, understanding and service we received. BTW, the car runs like new.

Back in 2017 I took my Nisan Titan here with AC issues...the vehicle was under warranty at the time. The manager said it was blower and replaced it; right around a year later the blower went out again. A couple of blowers were replaced before the current manager took over and informed my wife it wasnt the blower that was bad but the pigtail and this part would run around $1200. The old manager should have informed us back in 2017 it was a problem with that part and not the blower.If this had been the case we may have got replaced under warranty instead of now having a repair that will cost at least $2000. We will never be giving our business to AAMCO Transmissions on North Davis HWY again....or any other AAMCO for that matter. I understand they have cleaned staff since we visited in 2017 but that does not change the wrong done by that staff or manager and now my family will have a much greater expense because of a dishonest mechanic back in 2017...lesson learned we wont use that shop EVER AGAIN!........Manager contacted me after review was posted and is attempting to find a resolution to problem...waiting to see if a satisfactory resolution comes about

I recently went to Aamco Transmissions when I was having trouble with my vehicle, and am very pleased with how quick and easy my experience with them went. The people who were working on my vehicle were very courteous and professional, and were very good at explaining everything they were doing to me so I would be kept in the loop of what work was being done. The work itself was done well and in good time, and I havent had any issues since with the vehicle that was worked on since the work was completed. Overall I would say the work done by Aamco Transmissions was very well done, I would definitely go back to them if I find myself in need of more auto repairs, and I highly recommend their services.

Brought my car in a few weeks back and Josh was super helpful and respectful. They took extra time to make sure the job was done well and provided me with a doable payment plan. Cant ask for more than that. Transmission problems are super stressful and it helps knowing that Im driving a safe vehicle now.Edit: Small complaint after Ive completed my payment... Make sure to ask for a rebate form if you will be using a synchrony payment plan for over $1,000. I wasnt given a rebate form and I left the store understanding the payment needed to be completed before receiving it (which is not the case). So now Im out $200 that Ive been expecting as the promotion period has ended.

They did a great service on my transmission while i was traveling. They did the service very quickly and were very honest. I thought the bill might be a lot of money and it ended up being only a $145.00. They were honest and I would highly suggest using them.

05 Dodge 4x4 diesel, had transmission rebuilt and upgraded torque converter. Ran great for about a 1.5 days.Within a 1.5 days of getting it back, the truck started dropping out and back in (felt like it was almost stalling out). I immediately looked at fuel filter and then the batteries. I could never get it to improve. Took it back to AAMCO to find out if an electrical connector was loose or disconnected. Hooked up to computer and they couldnt find an issue; they believed it was motor related.So I took it to a diesel shop, they said it was not motor related and it had to do with the transmission. So back to AAMCO I went.AAMCO didnt agree with the diesel shop but took the truck back in, looked at everything they believed would or could caused this situation (transmission, motor, electrical). They stated the last thing they looked at was draining the fuel filter bowl again. After re priming and driving, the truck did not cut out again.Now, i know i am not the nicest or even polite when my patience is wore out; however they persisted i give them time (not a diesel shop). All told I was without my truck the second time for about 3.5 days (1.5 days at diesel shop, and 2 days back at AAMCO) Now, i am also a fair guy, if it wasnt transmission related (warranty) and they spent time trying to solve the problem and successfully solved it, fair is fair and id pay for that. However, the management refused additional money when i picked up my vehicle the last time.THATS EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE! Thats the kind of service that leaves me with no reservations the next time i have transmission issues to take my vehicle here.thanks

Over priced and not to sure they really give a damn. Took over 3 weeks after replacing the transmission for the car to go in gear. Oh yeah it was a 2006 charger.. Ended up costing me $1500 over the initial estimate and multiple trips expecting to pick up the vehicle after driving a hour from home to get, just to be told it wasnt ready.... not a happy or great experience

They werent able to fix our air conditioning in our Pontiac G6 because it was a computer module problem which requires the dealer to fix but they fixed our other problems and they were honest indlsteas of trying to rip us off. Very trustworthy and honest mechanics in my opinion. They will do anything they can to work with you and try to fix the problems you have for a great price. I recommend going here for vehicle repairs.

Completely satisfied! I took my Subaru in for a problem that had been going on for a year. The car was sticking in gear and not shifting until very high rpm. The Check Engine light was coming on and several other shops had not been able to diagnose the problem. I was at the point of thinking of trading the car! Bryan was very professional and I left the car for a free diagnostic service. They found the problem! It was not a transmission issue but instead, a sensor which they correctly identified and replaced. My year long headache was suddenly gone! It has now been 3 weeks since the service and the car shifts and runs perfectly again. I highly recommend AAMCO on Davis Hwy and will take the car there for any problems from now on!

Ive been to many places around the Pensacola area for check ups and repairs in the past and let me just say that this place has far SUPERIOR service than any other. Not only do the employees treat you with respect but the owner David Avery has wonderful customer service skills and will go above and beyond for his clients. I was having a challenge with my oil leaking and instead of just trying to milk me for money they gave me several options after checking my oil leak for FREE. The repair if I went one route would be over $500 dollars and I was able to walk out the door spending less than $100 dollars in total. Not only would I recommend these wonderful technicians to friends and family, but Id also recommend them to anyone looking to get their car/truck checked out without being worried youre getting ripped off.

I travel as a sales rep in a 24 RV, when I encountered brake issues I started calling local places via a Google search. The issue with the RV is the ability to lift it, most shops dont have the right floor jack. Jasons lift was occupied and he wasnt available to do the work. I took my car in for transmission work out. The manager said that they drain the fluid and topped it off. Splash shield was missing when I got home. Call them back to ask them if they forgot to reinstall it. Manager said that they didnt have to remove it to do the work. If you cant trust the transmission shop to stand by what they do dont go there. Trust is everything.Update. The manager is now going to be replacing the parts that are missing. I may have given them a bad review but Im going to be changing my rating once I pic up my parts.Turns out this place ended up being stand up. I dont have anything negative to say about there service.

Im from Panama city and just lost everything from hurricane Michael we were lucky to have been able to come to pensacola for my wifes work for a week to get showers and food for our kids but have to get back to Panama city tomorrow noticed this morning the our car was leaking transmission fluid and was worried because we dont have much money but Josh and a sweet lady didnt get her name took care of us after going through this terrible tragedy Im glad to know theres people who care these are good people here at Namco transmission.

Traveling through Pensacola to Charleston truck started shuttering and slipping. Assuming it was transmission stopped at AAMCO. Brad (Tech) quickly diagnosed as loose plug. Repaired and on my way within an hour. Kudos to Brian and Brad.

I brought my car here because of a recommendation and the good reviews on Google. However, I had a terrible experience here. I had a brake problem and needed to get it fixed before a trip I was going to take in 3 days. They told me they could probably get it done in 1 day; however, they ended up calling me 2 whole days later and told me they didnt want to touch it and make it worse! This left me with less than 1 day to find someone else to fix it in time for my trip! They could have just told me at first that they couldnt fix it instead of basically leaving me no time to get it fixed, very unprofessional. The only reason I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 is because (after a bit of finagling) they gave me a free tow to the other place (Able Auto), who managed to fix it in literally half the time for half the price.
