The mechanics that work here are great! Ive taken my bike here a couple of times for repairs before and they always get the job done well and in a timely fashion. They were also helpful with any questions I had as well. Great service overall!
Nathan is the best! He went above and beyond to make my new hobby feasible. He was direct, honest, kind and took all the worrying away. I made a mistake and purchased a bike online. Nathan assisted me in my new bike purchase, which I love and even offered their repacking service which was so nice. His brother was also very nice and helped me track down the ups man to pick up the shipment. Not a big deal for most people but lugging around this huge box for my 4’11” frame is pretty challenging. Thanks!!! I’ll be back again for sure!
Rachel and the staff at Cadence always take great care of me. I leave my race bike and have 100% confidence that when I pick it up it will be totally dialed and ready to go. And the coffee is delicious in the little cafe too :)
The staff at Cadence are helpful, fast, and careful. They helped me bring my Frankenstein facebook marketplace bike, which had seen better days, back to working condition for a super reasonable price.
I’ve been going to Cadence for tune ups/repairs since they moved into Center City. Their location which is close to the SRT is very convenient for dropping in or dropping off a bike for service. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable. Definitely #1 on my list of places for service.
I just moved from the FL Keys to Philadelphia and I didn’t have a chance to get my Specialized road bike a maintenance check up before I left. I was recommended to Cadence Cycling and I was able to get an appointment instantly. The staff is AMAZING. They are friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable on all different types of bicycles and locks.
Amazing shop with good people. Youre not going to get taken advantage of and the prices are reasonable.I went in and told them, look Im a new bike owner - i dont know what i need. Nathan said hey, let me take a look. He spent maybe 15 minutes and filled my tires, oiled my chain, fixed my handle bar. He came back and told me i really didnt need a full tune up this season but told me some things to look for. Everyone else i talked to in the area said pay me $125 and Ill get it to you next week.
The worst bicycle shop Ive ever been, the worst customer service ever. The guy who works there is very disrespectful and I not sure under which circumstances he was hired for.
The mechanic did a really professional job cutting my handlebars, I havent tried the coffee yet, but this could be the bike shop that is a hidden gem in Philadelphia. On the high-end side, but they do pretty good work, and would purchase tubes, tires, and may be a roadie in the future!
I take my bikes down to cadence regularly to be serviced. The staff is always friendly, and most of the time they get to my repairs right away. They are the only bike shop in town that I will use! I love using their text option, works seamlessly. Five stars
Nick did a great job on my bike. Older bike that is a challenge to get parts so had to be creative. Highly recommed.
Great shop bike was making a weird noise they found the problem, adjusted my gears and had my bike back to me by the end of the day. Very reasonable service, everyone I talked to at the shop was pleasant. So happy I found this shop!!
Very friendly and professional, great work for a good price!
Just an awesome shop for anything you need! Great to work with.
The best bike shop I ever been to
All I gotta say is that Tristan is the most knowledgeable and nicest mechanic Ive ever met! He really helped me out after being disappointed by other local shops. If you havent been to Cadence Cycling, go here next time you need your bike worked on!! (Hes kinda cute too!)
Fantastic shop in Center City. Rachel, Tristan, Brady, and the rest of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They answer ALL questions :). Highly recommend.
Hands down the best team around! Most people know me as a DIYer (Do It Yourselfer) and usually that is the case. With everything going on with the pandemic it was hard to get tools at all or there were other factors that prevented me form getting what I needed. Not to mention the local community shop was also closed due to COVID and shipping was looking good across many places with wait times up to a few weeks. My bike is my main means of transportation, my adventure machine, and more so I needed it to be taken cared of. My first contact was Mark who was just great when it came to all questions virtually and logistics. Then there was Nick who was like the middle person that made sure the logistics and stuff on the blackened went smooth. Finally there was the one called Tristan who handles the overall on my ride with amazing attention to detail. The communication and process from beginning to end was top notch and out of this world. Plus they recycle and also find second home for some of the old stuff by working with artist which is awesome. My need was big and they took care of. Please note that its one thing to perform well under normally circumstances but this team over delivered during a global pandemic with a certain grace and professionalism that many shop and organizations can learn from. Well done Mark, Nick, Tristan and the rest of the team! You are my go to team hands down! Stay safe and stay awesome!
The staff at Cadence is amazing, helpful and friendly. The mechanic I dealt with (Tristen) was skilled and knowledgeable. The prices are competitive. 5 Stars! Go to Cadence!
Came in from Chicago to get a bike fit after having problems with local fits. What a great experience! I feel much more comfortable and confident with the adjustments Brady made and I look forward to making future trips for further testing. The iced coffee is also delicious! Bonus for having a cafe at both shops. What could be better than coffee and bikes!
Quality service with a quick turnaround time.
I come here every week to get a coffee after finishing my route, everyone here is super friendly and the staff is more than happy to share their passion with you. Its a great place to browse bikes, ask questions and even make some small talk. The best part about this place to me is that there is really no pressure to buy the bikes, but if your interested the staff will help you out. No pressure!
I recently ordered a road frameset from Cadence. They were able to track one down in my size even though Giant had seemingly sold out. The staff at Cadence is extremely knowledgable and friendly - you can tell theyre passionate about what they do.The Center City location is a great place to pop in for an early morning workout or a delicious cup of coffee.
The owner was super friendly and offered assistance in picking a bike right away. Great bikes at great prices. Location is right next to the Schuylkill river trail so it was easy to see how the bikes would perform in the real use.
I wish there was less than one star. I went today to Cadence Cycling and Cafe (the one on 201 25th st.) because of its good reviews. Well, I guess reviews could be very deceiving. I walked in with mask on due to COVID19 requirements in the city of Philadelphia. There was a small board with instructions and a guy sitting at the entrance. I did not read the instructions thoroughly but I kinda understood that I have to talk to him first. I greeted him and told him that Im here willing to buy a Giant bike that I found online. First, the guy was not very welcoming and he paused for few seconds looking at the bikes then he said we dont have very big inventory at this moment and all what have is very expensive between $2K-$9K and big road bikes. Keep in mind, at that point, I have not told him what price range I was looking at or what kind of bikes. All what I said was Giant bikes. Then he recommended that I visit their other location and did not even offer the address of the other location.I really feel that I was superficially profiled here. It should be mentioned that the shop was empty and I could not see any costumers inside except one coworker, just in case someone tries to justify that by saying they might be busy.I wish I could know how such people judge costumers by the look. As far as I know I was fully clothed and showered before I leave home which is less than 15mins away. I also drove there so I know I looked clean. Unless my facial hair and skin color have something to do with it. I went there with intent to buy a $5K bike and figured that I can support local business instead of buying online. I guess I was totally WRONG. And you know what, Im not gonna put myself in such humiliation position again by going to their other location. Im going to buy a bike online and screw local businesses if they dont know how to RESPECT their costumers.
Always very friendly and helpful. They did some work on my bike and the only thing keeping it slow on the road is the rider! ;0)
I was initially disappointed with the service we received and perhaps CoVid has a lot to do with it, as no management was readily available when I was in the shop, however The owner was available via email and he took care of the issue within 1 week. It is reassuring to know that the shop is run by people who care.
Very helpful staff! They do really good work and they are very honest. Definitely a favorite of mine now
I’ve been going to the one in Manayunk where I bought my bike. This one is much closer to me. Dropped my bike off for a tuneup it was done the next morning. My bike felt brand new. Tristan took the time to go over tips for care and maintenance. Great spot!
This place has really gone down hill. Lack of inventory is something that every bike shop is dealing with, but Candence continues to offer terrible customer service.
Great place!!! Awesome staff!!! Can browse around, grab a quick coffee or chill. Keep on spinning. 🚴♀️
Got me out of a tubeless issue in time for my race that same day. Thank you!
Cadence’s Main Street Manayunk location has always felt accessible to me, but opening a shop with a coffee cafe 5 miles closer just makes it so much easier to stop in. Beautiful space and Cadence keeps passionate cyclists on their team. Stop in next time you’re waiting for the SRT train gates to open on the Poplar entrance it’s right behind you
A shop for all level of cyclists spanning across all biking disciplines be it on the road or dirt. Friendly, supportive, informative but not salesy, and great on-going support/maintenance.
Received very friendly helpful and expert service
Friendly, knowledgeable staff, excellent service, great products, convenient location.... and coffee.
Great customer service.
The space is a beautiful spot to drink my espresso before work!
Great location for a bike shop-- on the bike commuter trail! My pedal fell off my bike this morning on the way to work and stopped in to get it put back together real quick, super friendly staff-- will be back!
In this time of bike shop craziness and crazy owners, Cadence is like an Oasys of customer service. Wheel true and new tire in 30 minutes. This is my new go to shop.
Great space, patient & friendly staff, and delicious coffee.
