Great comic book store with a friendly owner and knowledgeable staff.

My kids and I love this store. Always able to find a treasure or a new graphic novel for them!

Just discovered this place and I love it.The staff seem friendly and knowledgeable. Helped me find The Last Ronin! If youre looking to get into reading comics, I highly recommend this place.

One of the best comic book stores in Portland. Hands down.

Very very limited back issue stock and the prices on those are face value. Lots of graphic novels, but again, they are face value and cheaper on Amazon and multiple other shops around town. This place seems like it focuses on newer comics and graphic novels mainly. Their variant section is pretty awesome, I ended up picking a few of those up. The clerk was very friendly once we were at the register, before that though, no conversation, I dont think we even got a Hello when we entered. I would only go back for variant issues.

A great smaller comic book store on Mississippi that I keep coming back to. The curated shelves are great, you have a mix of the latest releases as well as indie publishers and the classics. Finally picked up Stumptown and Im loving it. There is also two small shelves for kids and a case with manga in the back.

I have visited this store many times and like the way that the books are displayed and curated. Well organized, and a really good selection. It was bright and well lit which added to the friendly atmosphere.

This is one of my favorite comic book shops in Portland and it is where I buy almost all of my comics. It does not have the largest selection in town, but it has an extremely well curated selection that is well organized and easy to browse. The staff is always friendly, and it is the perfect spot to get something new and interesting to read for an afternoon while you enjoy one of the nearby bars or coffeeshops. I love this place.

Surprisingly nice place! Everything is alphabetized which makes it super easy to find what you want and the shelves are all categorized by publisher and theme as well. Mostly collected editions found here (tons of them, though) with not as many single issues, but just be going expecting that. The place is also super nice and clean, and is the least cramped comic book store I have ever been in. Everything feels sleek and organized rather than just crammed in there to try and fit everything in too small of a space. Definitely reccomend this place.

Great selection of recent issues, clean, well organized store. Staff is very knowledgeable and always helpful. Located in a very, hip and trendy neighborhood. Parking can be a challenge, but the new issue selection is top notch and well worth the extra effort!!

They always have great comics on stock whether they are new or old and Bridge City Comics can always order anything youre looking for. My boyfriend and I go at least every week. Everyone there is super nice and knowledgeable.

Great shop! Only been here once though, as I dont make it up to this part of Portland often. That one time was enough to warrant this review however. The staff is friendly and helpful and they have a great selection. I found an X-Force trade Id been looking for at a great price. Will visit again.UPDATE: Came in for the second time today (Friday, August 12, 2016) and it only reinforced my belief that this shop is awesome. Found some more great trades and once again the staff was friendly and helpful. Thanks for being so great!😄

Wasnt welcoming, and was followed. Its nice when shoppeople talk about the comics with you and help you find something but that wasnt my experience. The shopperson decided to awkwardly follow me around the store silently shuffling comics. Wont be back.

This place looks tiny-- and, okay, it is-- but unlike many comic book stores, this place is devoted entirely to comics, and their selection is pretty incredible. Accessible, well-lit, and right by some great restaurants and ice cream joints. They sell lots of fun little indie comics for a few bucks-- I bought one for $4 and enjoyed it, and have already shared it with a few of my friends, so easily worth the small investment.

Theres a lot of comic stores in Portland but Bridge City really stands out. The place is brightly-lit with widely spaced aisles and the most well-arranged floorplan Ive seen at any comic shop. A big plus on top of this is that the employees are knowledgeable, theres quite a few events involving local creators that go on here, and its surrounded by food and music venues.

Always great to go in. I preorder comics and they always call me as soon as they come in. Great service.

They were super helpful, nice, and carry a selection that others might not carry.

One of my favorite places to just go look around. Very knowledgeable staff and if they dont have it, they can get it for you.

An excellent comic shop with a solid selection of major, indie, and local publications. The staff is always super knowledgeable and happy to look up authors and artists, and the whole place is clean, tidy, and welcoming.

This place is so friendly, they go way above and beyond. I drive about 45 minutes to an hour to make this my comic book shop

I went here for the first time recently. Id always assumed, based on the size, that the place wasnt going to have a great selection, but, as someone with more indie tastes but a pretty broad knowledge of mainstream comics, I feel like they had a fantastic selection (they dont look to have a great manga selection (I didnt look all that closely but it looked like just the bigger names) but otherwise a strong variety and depth), which was presented and organized well. A friendly and knowledgable staff, Id recommend them highly.

This place is great. They have everything Im looking for, if they dont, they always offer to order it for me. Communication when my comics come in could be better but a part of that is that they wait for the series(if you asked for it) and im impatient and want each as it comes lol

Visited Portland from SLC and loved the variety and organization of the shop! I hesitated to ask for recommendations, worried I’d seem like a total noob, but I had nothing to worry about, I had a totally friendly experience! I asked about Sci-Fi recommendations, and ended up leaving with all 4 (Descender, Lazarus, Black Science, and East of West). A great variety, and I’ve ended up buying several of the complete series (East of West being my total favorite!). Thanks for not judging this noob and sending me home with a new passion for Sci-Fi comics!
