This is not the Ice cream shop I take my kids too. This shop offers a variety of complex flavors like honey lavender, basil and creme brulee. The cone is cinnamon flavored and definitely a little too fragile for little hands. Its sophisticated dessert that is perfect for when you want to treat yourself.Also the service was great! There were so many cool flavors that it is difficult to decide. The lady that helped me was very patient with me while I tasted and eventually landed on the two pictured below. Strawberry on the left and honey lavender in the right.Oh they also had a bunch of GF stuff. I dont have an intolerance but if you do they got you covered!

Probably the best ice cream place in town. Their flavors are unique but delectable (like the sweet corn and blackberry - soooo good!). Also I think their cones taste especially delicious. Their prices are also much more reasonable than a lot of ice cream shops. Definitely five stars!

Probably the best ice cream I had while I visited RVA, so that means a lot since I am a sweet tooth! Their flavors were well made, and a lot of them surprisingly gluten free! Customer service was awesome, and the prices were very reasonable. The ice cream tasted well made, and homemade! All the flavors I tried were splendid.

So delicious - we went for their 2 for 1 BOGO pint night and we were not disappointed. Definitely try the chocolate peanut butter pretzel!

This is the best ice cream in Richmond IMO. Gelati is a close second but Scoop wins on flavors and taste. They even have an ice cream flight with three mini scoops so you dont have to choose just one.

My partner and I LOVE Scoop so much. It is the perfect place to wander over to on the shady and rather dreamy Strawberry street, especially on a warm summer night. The flavor options are interesting and generally change every so often. The employees have always been very sweet and welcoming despite the constraints that covid has put on the business. Well, I could ramble forever. Please give Scoop a try, they are quite a lovely ice cream shop. :)

I love Scoop! Scoop has friendly staff and delicious ice cream. I appreciate the gluten free and vegan options. They offer MTO ice cream sandwiches on a variety of backed goods, including GF macarons! There are benches outside and Scoop stays open late! My favorite is getting a mini macaron on top of a scoop of V/GF coconut. Yum!

I’ve never written a review in my life! But This was the rudest customer service I ever received. This was my first time here and they kept rushing me in the most weird way, vs asking if I had questions or the types of sizes, etc. Every single interaction was very rude. And I wasn’t in there for even 5 minutes. The ice cream though was good!

Amazing discovery in the Fan District of Richmond. They have unique flavor offerings that are true to their name without overdoing it. The shop venue is super adorable and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

What a gem deep in the Fan. Strawberry Street’s newest offering brings some seriously good sweets to RVA. Amazing flavors and friendly staff round out a delightful experience in a small but well-designed space. The brown sugar cookie dough was to die for! Neon sign outside was a nice touch.

A friend suggested us here since we were visiting from Charlotte. What a delicious treat on such a hot day! The two girls working there were super friendly as well and helped us pick from the countless flavours and options. Yum!

In full transparency I LOVE ice cream so almost any ice cream will get at least 4 stars, but Scoop is awesome. Their waffle cones are cinnamon-y and delicious. Plus the ice cream flavors are very unique! I got the brown sugar cookie dough and tried a bite of the rhubarb crisp (so fruity and delicious). I also asked to try the croissant and jam one which was really interesting.

Great ice cream in a great location. It can be fairly expensive but is overall very much worth it. As of right now it is only open for takeout but the ice cream is still top quality. All that aside, Video Fan will be missed. Overall worth a visit once in a while but too pricy to be daily.

Friendly service and some unusual and delicious flavors, like Rhubarb Crisp and Earl Grey. I always appreciate having sorbet options that arent just fruit flavored, and Scoops dark chocolate sorbet fits that bill.

The texture of the ice cream itself is thick and creamy, which lends itself well to the other bakery items from Whisk they include.I have tried the Tahini and Halva (this one is special), Rhubarb Crisp (solid but I wanted more rhubarb), Croissants and Jam (love how tart the jam is), Lemon Swirl frozen yogurt (yay lemon!), Brown Sugar Cookie Dough (solid), Roasted Strawberry (perfect balance of flavor), and Salty Peanut Butter (which struck all my tastebuds in just the right way the other night). Candy Bar and Confetti are a bit too sweet for my personal tastes.The profiterole sundae is beautiful and decadent. The flight includes 3 mini scoops with 3 cookie wedges and I have to say the peanut butter cookie’s taste and texture made it one of the best cookies I’ve ever had. Oh and the mini macaron is both adorable and not boring flavor-wise! It was nice and crispy and yummy!Very small space and pretty crowded at times, so be prepared to wait upwards of 20 minutes due to sheer volume of customers. I recently visited Scoop with my parents. The service was excellent and the sales associate was highly knowledgeable about the products available. This ice cream was so fresh and tasty. Additionally, the interior of the store was trendy and unique.

They should add a sixth star for this place. Some awesome ecclectic, but delicious, flavors! Do NOT miss an opportunity for a sampling here. The salted peanut butter was FANTASTIC!! I have had a dozen different salted caramel ice cream versions, but this makes me regret I wasted all those calories on caramel and not finding PB 😁. The sweet basil was super good.The waffle cones were fresh and tastey. Creamy and rich cream. Generous scoops. A must visit.

I should tell you that this isnt necessarily better than the other best ice cream in town (rhymes with Shmalati Balesti) because it is different, and who has the best ice cream will depend on your own personal taste. Scoop serves Philadelphia style ice cream that has a lower egg yolk content compared to the gelato-like ice cream of the other guys. Think Breyers vs. Haagen-Dazs. But so, so much better than Breyers.That being said. I went to Scoop on the day they officially opened and had what is now my favorite ice cream of all time. Mint cookies and cream. Perfect mint ice cream with chunks of Oreo cookies instead of crappy waxy chocolate squares that you normally find in mint ice cream. Good Lord. My life will be forever changed. Just like its sibling establishment, Whisk, the stuff is great, space is clean, service is quick. Get a scoop in a waffle cone and wont regret it.

Very unique flavors

Honestly, I saw all the reviews raving about it and I figured we would give it a try, it was already really pricey but we are ice cream lovers so we’re happy to pay it to try a new spot. I was absolutely not a fan, I just wound up throwing my pint out. The flavors tasted, for lack of a better word, off? None of our flavors tasted like what you’d want/expect. The honeycomb tasted like burnt caramel and my cookie dough pint just tasted odd. It would have been better to save the $20 and go to Gelati Celesti or even just to the grocery store.

Inventive, high quality ice cream and vegan offerings. Friendly people serving you. All in all a pleasant experience.

I love Scoop! There’s always an interesting flavor to try but also some old standbys as well. Brown sugar cookie dough always hits the spot and roasted strawberry in the summer is the best strawberry ice cream I’ve ever had.Also if you’re lucky enough to be there when they have the fig and goat cheese- IT’S SO GOOD! Honestly too many flavors to fawn over. But last one- the s’mores last Fall was super delicious.

The macs are adorable and a perfect addition to ice cream.They lost a star for charging $1 for a mac by itself and .90 on an ice cream... $30 worth of ice cream and you cant charge .90 for the mac? Silly ten cents.

Unique flavors and great service keeps me coming back to Scoop! They have a good range that never gets too crazy, my favorite flavor has been the golden milk (tumeric and ginger base).You can get a cup, cone, or pint - they can also scoop a pint of whatever flavor you want for a dollar extra!

Ice cream was great. However, I asked about ingredients because I do have allergies, and no one knew anything about ingredients. Otherwise, it was a good experience.

This is the third time we have been here with our grandchildren. They love the confetti icecream with sprinkles! The other selections are great. It is all made fresh. The employee are great. It is not on our usual path, but well worth the trip. WE WILL BE BACK!

Friendly staff, their roasted strawberry ice cream was delicious and a much needed refreshment from how hot the day was. Various options are offered, they havent had their grand opening yet so will come back when they are fully running. Will return!

Me the wife love this place,you can sit inside but theres only about 6 chairs but its 2 benches right outside the store.. They have ice cream cookies and brownies, its even a nice area to walk and talk while you eat.

Scoops has a variety of flavors to choose from! Ive sampled quite a few of them and they are all delicious. The building is conveniently located near carytown as well as borders the nearby university, VCU. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend the croissant ice cream sandwich.

Full disclosure, I do prefer gelato as a general rule but I was truly excited to try this new to me ice cream shop. Obviously, my tastes are specific to me, but I wasnt impressed. The service was good and the location was clean. The ice cream itself has a good texture. The flavors are what I found lacking. We tried the 3 flavor sampler with 2 vegan ice creams. I dont normally eat vegan ice cream and based on those flavors, I wouldnt repeat it. The croissant and jam was good initially but the texture of the croissant was gummy as I chewed so that wasnt pleasant. I ended up getting 3 pints to try, salty peanut butter, mint cookies and cream, and chocolate. Im sad to say, I wont be returning. Someone else may really enjoy it and their styling and IG are adorable. Just not up my alley.
