Some of the best customer service I could ask for. It was like taking a free snowboarding class. Craig is the man when it comes to snowboard knowledge and he set up me and my wifes snowboard gear very nice. Patrick was very friendly as well.

Went in to shop for boards, boots for 4 kids... Super helpful and knowledgeable staff. Took the time to set up all 4 boards. The only place we shop for our ski / board apparel!

First time ever writing a store review, but I felt like I had to after the amazing customer experience! Dylan J. was incredibly helpful. Even though the store was busy and he had multiple customers to help, he still managed to make each customer feel worthy of his time. Im a beginner snowboarder who had lots of questions on gear, and he was happy to answer each and every question I had with a great amount of knowledge, yet not overwhelming for someone just starting off in the sport. He helped me pick out a board and boots and gave some recommendations for binding. Unfortunately, I wanted to try the boots that I liked in a half size up, and they were out of that size in the store, but he recommended buying them from their online store and then bringing them in to the store to swap if I preferred the half size smaller. Dylan didnt pressure me into buying anything and kept it honest with me when I asked if certain accessories were necessary to purchase when starting. I ended up purchasing both boots and binding from their online store because I felt so confident in their desire to deliver quality gear to their customers after my customer experience. I purchased a Thule cargo box from Craig at Peter Glenn. Craig answered multiple questions over the phone, held a product until I could make it to the store, and helped me install the box upon arrival. He was thorough and very generous with his time. I would absolutely return in the future!

I was prepping for a 5 week ski trip in Colorado earlier this year and spent a TON of time at Peter Glenn Ski & Sports with Craig, the manager. I was intending to buy all the things, but it had to start with the right boot and boot fit. And mine was not an easy boot fit to find. It took about three trips before I actually spent any money. Craig stayed with me through the entire process and never made me feel bad for using his time before I made my final purchase. He used his vast expertise and incredible patience to understand my issues and help me solve them. And then, once we had the boots sorted, helped me pick skis, poles, and everything else with ease. Craig was a daggone delight the whole way through. And then, when I swung by the store months after my trip, he remembered me when I wanted to thank him for his help and let him know all of the gear he helped me buy ended up being perfect for my entire trip! Thank you so much Craig and everybody at Peter Glenn! Highly recommend and this is the only store Ill be using going forward for all my ski needs!

We went here to get some snow clothes for my grandchildren. Much selection and they were very nice and helpful when we couldnt find every thing that we wanted. We left there very satisfied. Now I hope that we get some snow fo them to play in it!

After spending some time at Peter Glenn getting custom soles for ski boots, when my friend and I needed to get custom soles for our roller skates, I figured, lets try Peter Glenn! Sure enough, Peter Glenn delivered! Charles helped us out and spent a TON of time with us making custom insoles that were meant for ski boots work for our roller skates. He was incredibly patient and also very kind and gave us mad respect that we were on quad roller skates. YAS! Once again, above and beyond and incredible service and support from the folks at Peter Glenn. Thanks Charles!

I walked in to Peter Glenn looking for a snowboarding helmet after a scary experience with a rental that turned out to be dangerously unreliable. I walked out with one of the best customer service experiences of my life!While Donna was clearly knowledgeable about the sport, what stood out most to me, was the way she went above and beyond to ensure I had the best (and therefore safest) fitting helmet possible. She gave me her undivided attention as she helped me try on 4-5 different helmets. She explained the technical details of how a good fitting helmet should feel on my head and gave me goggles to try on as well so I could see the completed look on myself. I felt so much more confident after talking with Donna and will absolutely be coming back to Peter Glenn for any future snowboarding needs!

Awesome service. Great snowboard maintenance at a low price. Was in a crunch leaving for Utah and my board needed a wax and sharpen. They werent busy so Justin got it done in an hour, which super nice of him. Hes a cool dude. They are great.

BEST place to get all winter sports clothes.Prices at PG are similar to what youll find online.Good quality clothes but really the service was amazing. Martha was very knowledgeable and took her time with us, and she was of tremendous help picking out our clothes. From convenience to style, she knew what to get us! She was also a former ski racer and she gave us many tips... you wont get the same experience online...

Had a crack in my girlfriend snowboard and was able to get a replacement snowboard/binding package for a great price in store on the same day. Was really thinking we were about to have to call off our trip, but the large selection and dedicated staff at Peter Glenn really made it possibe. Definitely will be going back here for all my future snowboard and gear purchases.

A good place to get ski gear and have your skis fixed up. They did a great job sharpening and waxing my old skis; it was a noticeable difference when I took them down the mountain after their handiwork. They have a good selection of everything you need for skiing. My only complaint would be it takes a while to check out.

Decent location. Plenty of selections, staff was helpful but be aware that this store is know for top of the line apparel so the cost of equipment amd clothes are high in price. Not a budget friendly store.

I went in with a problem with my snowboard bindings that they don’t even carry the brand that makes them. They helped me fix the problem and replaced one of the parts and said it was such a small fix that they didn’t even charge me for it. If you’re looking for somewhere that cares about the rider and not how much money they can squeeze out of you, this is the place to go!

This establishment is larger than it appears from the outside. They have a very large inventory for ski and snowboard.Their prices are comparable to online retailers.During my visit I just didnt feel like some of the staff wanted to help us. My wife and I are new to winter sports and were excited and looking forward to buying some gear to learn to snowboard.It felt like everytime we had a question and went to find a team member to ask a question that was an inconvenience for them. Its was 5 pm and there was only one other couple in the store shopping. I say shopping because they were very nicely dressed and had the attention of one of the staff members the whole time (this person stayed with them throughout their visit answering questions and giving their opinion about what looked good) but walked out of the store without buying anything. Meanwhile my wife and I had to go find staff members to ask for assistance and opinions- which I have to say they didnt even bother to stop walking to give answers it felt like we were bothering them.We walked out spending a just fraction less than two thousand dollars but we had on jeans and tshirts and I dont know if that had anything to do with it or not but thats what it felt like. Funny thing is we didnt buy boards or boots or bindings. Still gotta do that and Im not sure I want to go back there to make that purchase. We have discussed the idea about driving hours away in order to get treated better.I realize this store doesnt have a lot of local competition and its a niche market per se but customer service is customer service no matter what industry you work in.******Updated 12/24/19******My original review is above and I scored the store 3 Stars during that interaction.My wife and I decided to go back this afternoon and we are so glad we gave them a second chance. If there was a way to give 6 Stars I would after todays interaction.Craig (Store Manager) assisted us today and he was FABULOUS!!!His product knowledge, patience, ability to size us up, offering his professional opinion on products, etc. really allowed us to see his outstanding customer service skills. He was able answer various other product questions from his employees throughout our interaction and it didnt make us feel like we were being neglected. He really showcased his knowledge, skills and abilities during our time with him. Truth be told we didnt even plan on making a purchase today, we were in the area and wanted to put our hands on things to comparison shop - we ended up buying 2 snowboard packages and I felt good about spending my money in his store.Craig is the real deal when it comes to providing white glove level customer service. There is no doubt in my mind why he is a member of the Peter Glenn management team.If you or a family member/friend are interested in Winter Sports send them to Peter Glenn in Richmond and ask for Craig!

Just purchased new skis and bindings. I asked to have the skis waxed. I picked up the skis over two weeks later and hit the slopes in WV. The skis had not been waxed at all. When I clipped into the bindings, I had to literally drag the skis to the lift. Piss poor service. Spoke to Chad Shaub, the manager, and he told me to stop by for a free tuning. The free tuning should have been provided the first time. It is a 140 mile round trip drive to this ski shop from my home. The free tune up ship has sailed. I wont trust this shop to provide quality service. Typical East Coast ski shop. BEWARE!

Do NOT purchase from Peter Glenn. I placed an order in the morning, and attempted to cancel only a few hours later. It had not been posted to my credit account, yet they REFUSED to cancel the order. The representative, who stated she was the manager was very rude and impatient.
