Drive time is not worth the effort. Me and my wife both had a 730 credit score, gave them a down payment and they still tried to charge over 500 month on a vehicle that was not worth the price. All these people saying they are great must not realize they are being jacked on price and apr%Their warranty program is even worse, doesnt work anywhere but the places that charge twice the normal amount for anything anyways. This review probably wont go up but if it does none of these people care about you or your struggles. Gavin also must be the best salesman for cars ever. Nothing but Gavin for the top 30%

Gavin was the best “Mechanical Financial Advisor”, because let’s face it he was so much MORE than a sales person on salary pay. This was our first time financing a vehicle of any kind so we were prepared for any sort of experience good or bad. Though we were WELL researched and educated about what we personally were going to expect he gave us any and all information we missed or overlooked. From start to finish the appointment was relaxed, professional, and more importantly EASY. We had our eye on one SUV here locally, but when our test drive was finished & the bank had sent back their approvals with hard numbers it unfortunately didn’t fit all of our needs. Gavin greeted us from our test drive with MULTIPLE options at other dealerships that DID fit every single criteria we had AND gave us better APR rates! I came to the store in Salem Virginia testing the waters I had no intention of purchasing a vehicle even though at the time I dearly desired another vehicle as the vehicle I drove in was long in the tooth.At first I was interested in the Kia brand and then I changed my mind and thought perhaps a Jeep not interested in either and noticed there was a 2014 Buick Encore all-wheel-drive reduced from $12,595 to $10,995 which I decided to go with.So the agent at Drive time proceeded to go forward with my request all the particulars were taken care of and we sat down and I was told about the vehicle which had one accident and I was amazed at the honesty with that said I told the agent to hold on and I will go look sure enough Everything was as it should be with one exception the quarter panel was brand new I seen no issue with the repair and proceeded to continue with the agent.Please realize I was approved to drive this vehicle off the lot at first the payments were a little high the agent worked on that said if I put $250 down it would reduce my payment I agreed.I would love to say that I would give this a 100% or 10 out of 10 or five out of five mark but I will have to deduct 1/10 of a mark for a leaky tire which I replaced within a week I believe I’m being petty and I do not believe this was an intentional act.All in all with the exception of the above statement I am very pleased with my purchase,The professionalism, the courtesy, letting me know every small detail that is needed including the option to purchase extended insurance which I choose two out of three nothing was forced no hidden agenda this company reestablished my trust in purchasing a vehicle from a Car lot.

Sorry I am getting to this so late but my experience was truly a straight forward, stress free (or as much as possible), comfortable and all around a very pleasant experience. Now I think that the gentleman who went above and beyond to make sure I had the best experience possible since it was my first time buying a car from a dealership. His name is Gavin Hale, at the dealership on 1354 E. Main Street Salem, VA 24153. I think he should be recognized in some way like a pretty healthy raise in pay. Since he is a dad with young children and if you have kids you know money is in very short supply. Young children are really really expensive. Or he should get a new car, something modest like a 2020 Mustang or a Charger. You know something like that. Anyway back to my experience. I dont think I would have had as comfortable time, stress free and worry free experience without him guiding me through this experience. Not just Gavin but to everyone that was there I want to thank you also for assisting in my buying process. The atmosphere was very peaceful and everyone made you feel at ease and welcoming. So to all the employees and especially Gavin thank you very much. And I love my new car and my 5 year old son thinks Im just awesome because Daddy got a race car. My experience with drive time was superb. Considering how low my credit was, I thought I would be denied. I got a high interest rate but Eric was pretty thorough in explaining all details plus I knew what I was getting into. He was an excellent car salesman because the majority of the time I never felt as though he was selling anything. He seemed to be genuinely interested and seem to it that I made the best decision for myself.As is the case every time you buy a car, you are presented with several offers towards the end. I declined all of them except for the gap insurance. About 52 days after my car purchase, my AC compressor exploded and drive time couldnt do anything to remedy this situation because I opted out of the extended warranty. That is entirely on me for not choosing to research common problems that come with my car at the mileage at which I was purchasing it.Ultimately, drive time is the place to go when no one else is willing to give you a chance when youre starting off from scratch. Im really happy with my purchase and happy that drive time exists for people like me.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Drove down two hours for nothing. Had a reservation(appointment) to buy a specific car. Got here & they sold it to a couple while waiting for a person to serve us. Very disappointed.

I just purchased a Kia forte lx 2016.So far all is well. They have a big variety of vehicles. Fairly good prices.

First and foremost, I absolutely love the car I got from them. The only issue I have is with the Guaranteed Price posted online for the vehicle. My local lot did not have anything of interest but another lot had exactly what I was looking for with great mileage and condition. I inquired as to having the vehicle transferred to my local area which they did in a very timely manner and I truly appreciate that. The issue came when it was time to purchase it. All the sudden it was 400.00 more expensive at my local lot than the online Guaranteed Price. I brought it to the sales associates attention and he asked his manager who said he had to ask the finance company if they could honor the Guaranteed Price. Why it would be up to the finance company is still beyond my comprehension, but never the less, thats what I was told. The finance company said the Guaranteed Price was at the location they pulled the car from, not the Roanoke location. I never was offered a reasonable explanation as to why. I am assuming I paid 400.00 for them to drive it from one lot to another and they mask the charge as a demographic area price change. Other than that, and the extremely long time it took to finish paperwork, all went well and I do love the vehicle.Please note in this edit, the response from the company still talked in circles and didnt explain why the price was higher on one lot than the other.

It was INSANELY hassle free, also they have free popcorn and its really good.Misty & the floor manager Tom are INSANELY awesome. They made my life literally as easy as possible. I got a nice car, the mileage is higher but not horrible. The price is more than I should pay and I probably could buy a new car with that price but I dont have credit so that is how the game works.They got my plates + registration as promised in 13 days. They gave me temp stuff and it worked well. I put my deposit down, drove off the lot. The car has some minor issue, one seat heater does not work. Everything else is good.Honestly it was a fair deal, they risked giving me credit as a first time buyer and that is cool.I appreciate all Tom & Misty did and seriously, they are not a scam.

I bought this car on April 15, 2019. I did not know one tire was different other than 3 tires. One tire speed rating is 169 mph while 3 tires are 129 mph. I gave them my 4,100 dollars to make the down payment plus interest 4,600 yet they keep give me different and refuse to do all 4 tires. I filed a complaint via BBB then legal action will be happening soon! It will happen tomorrow when I am gonna file a case into court. You guys put us at risk. I am not even able to drive a damn car!
