Norvasc is the place to go when you need an honest answer to your electronically based needs. Jim is always friendly and always shoots straight. Great prices, great selection, all packed into a little bitty shop. layed out in a fashion I havent seen since the 80s true value shops. He does repairs, parts and hell know some body when you call on needs out side of his wheel house.

10/22/19 I was impressed with the inventory and cleanliness of the store. Owners were nice and helpful. And best of all they actually had the connector I needed.I prefer a brick-and-mortar shop any day, especially for these kind of Parts.I would recommend.

I needed a specific component and didnt want to order online. My first thought was RadioShack but those dont exist around here anymore. I searched for electronic components Salem and found Norvac so I went there.What can I say, this is like an old school electronics shop. They have tons and tons of components like LEDs, timer chips, resistors, etc.. They have tools like wire cutters, soldering irons, screwdrivers, magnifiers, etc.. They have wire, nylon cable braid, breadboards, heat shrink, and tons of connectors too. Computer fans, SATA cables, ethernet cables and lots more.Definitely worth checking out if you need some sort of component or cable. Their prices were really good, too. I can tell why they have such high reviews!Thank you!

Norvac electronics parts thats a wide variety and selection ofcomponents so that I am able to repair, rebuild, and design stuff. That used to be that one could go to Radio Shack part number of parts, but even didnt norvac still had a wide variety of stuff.so if youre looking to buy some solder, a soldering iron, or if you want to get some electronic kits come on down.

Wow - I looked in Portland for particular Amp CPC pins, but none available. I stopped by Norvac and they had exactly the pins I was looking for! And the pin extraction tool that I did get in Portland was about 8% cheaper at Norvac. Friendly folks and terrific inventory!

I have been to Norvac a number of times and have found the knowledge and service of the owners to be excellent! I am more or less tech challenged and Jim (one of the owners) has always gone above and beyond to fix my little difficulties. Today (11/3) I handed him a device and he researched it on Google for around 10-15 min until he found just the right solution. Plus they play cool music and have a cool dog.

Everything from essential parts and tools to random junk. Great for a hobbyist to browse or a pro to get in and get out.

I had a problem with trying to get an old computer to work with a new monitor It took an extra visit to get just the right hardware but in the end the problem was solved. These are excellent folks to work with: Knowledgeable, fair, and very helpful. Im a Norvac customer of 30 years. If you need something hard to find for your difficult repair, this is the place to go . Visit Norvacs, they have more strange stuff than anyone I know. You will even find gorgeous outdated electronics perfect for wall art.Jim and Bonnie actually help you and they are really knowledgeable.Even if you dont have some special need you can always find something.The outside sign once read more things than you can shake a stick atSo of course I picked up a twig and entered shaking it. They were worried until I said that it was about their sign. Norvac is a fun store to visit.

Ive been going to Norvac since 1996 when I started working at Siltec in Salem. Its the only decent supplier in our area and they do a great job, and usually have what I need. They have always been very helpful, a great resource to have locally.

Norvac is a great place to go when I need missing parts to build something. They may not have EVERYTHING I need but I sure buy whatever I can there. I have gone in many times not knowing exactly what I need, They try Their best to help, but if I dont know exactly what I need, I dont expect them to. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it does not. When it does not work out I have no one to blame but myself.If you are going to come in to the store and complain, stay home. If you know exactly what you need, use your reading skills and make sure its what you have in your hand before you leave.

One of the best odds-and-ends electronics stores in the area. If you need an obscure part, you wont find it at Best Buy, or even Frys, odds are Norvac will have it. You can get general things like Cat6 cables and ethernet switches here as well, but theyve also got a great selection of obscure pins, connectors, relays, etc.

Jim always has the equipment and supplies I want. He is very knowledgeable and has the best customer service. A great guy and a great store.

Its ok i guess, 80% of the stuff they sell is like NOS (new old stock) pshh, what? they dont carry standard value components either, every time i go in there for a standard value component, 100 ohm 3 watt resistor, for example they don have it but they can order it, well so can i. most of their stuff is like weird super high value parts for computers etc. 100 meg resistors, 1000000pf caps etc, hmm. they are on the expensive side too for selling such outdated parts. this is my experience in the salem store, never been to the others. on the positive side, they are the only place you can walk into and get an electronic part if youre lucky, here in salem. check em out, you may get lucky
