Young male and female employees were the worst I’ve ever felt with. The general manager was a pleasure to deal with, and took the time to hear my thoughts on those couple employees. Overall turned out better then I thought it would’ve.

I have rented equipment from this facility several times over the past 12 months. The trailers are clean and well maintained. The trailer tech makes sure that the lights are working properly with all my vehicles. The staff is super efficient and friendly. Just picked up some of their famous mirror boxes on .08.31.2018. that I use to ship vintage bike frames throughout the USA. You can add / trim / customized these cardboard boxes to fit a ton of hard to ship items. *****FIVE STARS******

No preventative signs stating parking on the street, or accepting card payment only. Get yelled at across a parking lot “you have to park on the street!” Literally was not in the business or workers way, and I waste my time waiting in the lobby to be told “we’re not accepting cash payments can’t get into the til” F the management here

Was the most horrible experience dealing with this location. They lied about many things from the time I rented my ubox until even after I returned it. They took money from my account for storage I wasnt using and had never used. It took spending hours upon hours on the phone to finally get my money back. I dont know who I spoke with this last time I was there because he (like a little kid) ripped his name tag off his shirt and wouldnt let me get his name and when I requested his name he called the cops on me. I do not recommend this particular location ever!!!!!!!!!!!

Worst experience weve had in a while. Billing was messed up, we got double charged and they cant fix it for 3-5 business days. Rented two trucks for me and roommates to move, one was rented out when we got there so we could only get the one. They placed a hold on our account for $90 so we cant go grocery shopping... this was by far the worst moving experience weve had. Will be shopping around at other moving companies next time.

Fast friendly service every time I have gone

Had to get a hitch installed. First told me Monday then said wrong part was ordered and would come friday. Told them it was urgent and had already paid for everything. Dropped.car off in morning was told 90min... it is now 7pm ... waiting during covid with no one wearing masks. Dont waste peoples time and give accurate estimates took another vehicle before mine didnt get started after I came back originally after 3 hours. Nice people but wasting someones day is unforgivable in this business.

This is the second time I have dealt with South Salem U haul. The first I had a trailer hitch put on my vehicle. They were prompt, courteous and the price was half that of the dealership. The second interaction was to add a wiring harness for the trailer over a year later. They fit me into their busy schedule when I needed, they were friendly and again were less than half the price of the dealership. Both times their actual price was less than the quoted price, a happy surprise. I highly recommend this U haul station and will certainly use them again.The only critique I have if they read this is to add some chairs in the lobby for waiting customers. Thank you.

Troy is a super hard worker! He was the only attendant here tonight when I got here around 6PM. Although he had a line of people waiting, he kept running around getting to everyone as quickly as he could. Certainly impressed! I was only here for a propane tank and come to find out your first fill is free! And my tank is new as of this year. Yay! Very happy!!!!

I have rented from this place many times. Staff is always helpful. Prices are reasonable. The equipment is in good shape.

I tried to rent a trailer to tow a pickup for about a four hour trek. They told me my truck wasnt capable of doing so. I did research and literally everything I found told me that my truck was perfectly capable of towing all that weight with plenty of wiggle room. Hell the uhaul website knew what I was towing and with what truck and the system said it was fine too. They wouldnt let me rent the damn trailer here even with the insurance. And thats not even what makes me mad. What mad me mad was the fact that he just kept telling us what we couldnt do, but wouldnt even try to give suggestions. This place wasnt helpful

I was told that my hold my card would be released as soon as I returned the truck. That’s not the case it’s 3-5 business days. Also, I should have been charged $126 for my truck as per my contract when I signed in online. I was really charged $141. Then they made us return the truck 8 miles away from where we moved when there were 4 other locations closer to me. This was a horrible experience. The call center isn’t any better, you call for help and have to wait on hold forever just to be transferred around because no one knows what they are doing.

Have rent trucks here twice, both times quick and easy. Great service. This is the best place to get and fill propane tanks, too.

Made a reservation a week in advance and were told specifically we would have the box truck for 24 hours from our pick up time at noon. The day before the reservation we received a call asking if we could move it from noon to 2pm for the pick up time as they had a truck go down, which we did. We then received another call saying we could no longer have it for 24 hours but from 2pm-10am at the same price because its the last weekend of the month. We should have been given correct information up front or they should have honored the reservation as it was rather than this bait and switch. Going elsewhere.

When I moved into my home, I used their services. When I moved from an old apartment to the one I lived in before the house, I used their services. This location has great employees, always has an appropriate vehicle on hand and they even installed a hitch attachment on my truck for a nominal fee. When I need stuff done, I go here.

The truck is fine. The staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful to me. The service I received today was superb,despite the fact that they overcharged us and double booked us also.

I will go out of my way passing other Uhauls to work with Mark Jones at his store as he is professional yet extremely personable. Moving is stressful. Mark makes is seem less so.

Dont go here. One of the guys who work there, Jacob Struder, lied to our faces about trailer lights working properly. We could see them in the reflection behind the trailer, and he was unaware of that and tried to convince us everything worked great. The back connector wiring was completely disconnected so he outright lied to us and put our safety, and the safety of other drivers on the road in danger. They also tried to give us a truck with a tire that was so worn down, it wasnt even legal. So also extremely dangerous. Altogether wasted about 6 hours here trying to get their mistakes corrected which put us way behind schedule, and received no compensation, only excuses from the assistant and general manager.

I had a wheelchair lift put on my truck. Can stop in for questions anytime.. Nice helpful people.

They have been very helpful and had the equipment/trucks. But, the location is terrible. There is no place to park your own PV, and its cramp to drive the rented truck out. thats why i usually used the one on Turner Road, who are excellent and easy to get on and off the interstate.

Rented a one way car dolly from Bend to Salem Sunday April 29th. As I arrived on the 29th they were closing they told me to put the slip in the mailbox and put the dolly in an empty space. I did that. Now uhaul claims it was never returned and trying to charge me.

Worst one to go to. So I was looking online to rent a 17 foot truck to move a sofa set I bought from furniture row to my house,seen they had one here on 12th st. So instead of putting in my online order i figured I would just go in(big mistake). Went into store and got told by Andy or Andrew cant remember what his name was but something close to that, well he proceeded to tell me were out of those trucks,asked for next larger truck told no again. After dealing with an employee that acts like they dont want to be there or help anyone I decide to just walk out. Went back home and looked up again and NOT to my surprise they had the 17 truck available, so i decide to just order it and take in my paper work to see what that worthless individual would say. When I got back he stayed outside and had another employee help me. She kept explaining to me how trucks come in and out all day like she was making excuse for that worthless individual. Funny thing is the parking lot was full of trucks and me leaving and coming back in the span of 10 minutes and nothing changed in parking lot, Ya i wasnt buying her BS.Like another reviewer said about white supremacist I wouldnt doubt it because thats the impression i got too. This place needs new management fast! Avoid this place if your in a rush to get your truck rented.I will be filing a complaint to the U-haul website, they need to take a real good look at who they hire at this location.
