Our Service installer was Scott Mitchell. He was here within the window of time we were quoted and very neat and clean. We will definitely ask for him if we ever need to use their services again. He came in and totally removed our old door and all of its attaching parts (metal rails, springs, old door etc.) and installed the new door and all of its new attaching hardware in less than 2 hours. Overall the tech was excellent and provided an exemplary service call. The one glaring flaw in my experience is that the tech arrived nearly 3 hours late. The quoted arrival time of my tech was 7pm and I didnt get a text that he was on his way until 9:30 and he later arrived just before 10pm. I even called the 24 hour phone number to inquire where my technician was and received no answer, nor a call back.Their pricing was a little more than what I would have hoped for the length of the job. The price of the single 2 ID 24 long garage door spring that was replaced, plus a pair of winding bars, is roughly 75 dollars including shipping from a reputable online dealer. The entire replacement took less than 25 min, and I was charged $190 dollars all in.Too summarize my experience: In person customer service is top notch, corporate customer service, especially in the area of communication, leaves much to be desired and the pricing of their services may not be as discount as one might hope.Edit per the owners response: The appointment may very well be set up to start during a two hour window of time, but I have no record of being informed of that particular detail over the phone. All I was told was to expect the technician at 7pm. Regardless, the tech arrived at just before 10pm, which was outside of the alleged 2 hour window. The owner is correct in that I was quoted an exact price over the phone, and I certainly did agree to that price 100%, that however does not change my opinion of the total pricing for the job. Additionally, it is true that I was called by the company multiple times on the day of my work order, however, I did not receive any communication during the hours of 7pm to around 9:30pm which was when I received a text message notifying that my tech was on the way and I was then able to request the doorbell not be rung.I do think that a company taking this level of interest in their customer reviews is excellent. Had a broken spring on my garage door. Was quoted $175 when I contacted the company initially. Serviceman arrived and quoted over $600 for the spring, plus additional repairs he recommended. I realize this is just the way many service businesses operate, but this did seem high even for that type of business model. My wife called me at work with the news, and I spoke to the serviceman directly and simply opted not to have the other items repaired - just the broken spring. The total still ended up just over $280 - more than $100 higher than the original quote. My cables, which were unbroken and unfrayed, had fallen off due to the loss of tension when the spring broke, so he replaced those. This cost me an additional $89.99. (Note: new name-brand cables cost less than $10 at a hardware store, and installation involves little more than winding one end of the cable around the drum, and hooking a loop on the other end of the cable onto a peg at the bottom of the garage door.) So I had a couple of surprises, and an inconvenient phone call at work to discuss repairs I did not want. Not a bad job - the garage door is working now - so three stars, but I will not be going with Discount Garage Door next time.

This company is wonderful!!! My husband called several different companies for a basic maintenance issue, on a Saturday . Discount Garage Door was the only company that was able to get us set up with an appt. with in 48 hours, which is amazing.! Everyone else that my husband called, was at least a full week to two weeks out.Todd, the services tech was very professional, sweet and explain everything perfectly. My garage doors worked but not as well as they should, so I called Discount Door for a door tune-up. Michael Franz did a terrific tune-up job! The doors operate so much more quietly now and they now respond promptly to the remotes. No more having to pull out and lower my window to get the door to close. Well done - and for a good price!

My moms garage door broke so my sister recommended Discount Garage Doors, as she and her husband had to use them and were VERY happy with the the work that was accomplished. Great Service! Marco Bustillos came out to fix what we thought was just a broken spring. He quickly identified that a bearing had never been installed from a previous installation and this was the cause of the spring failure. He was very prompt and worked quickly with a high quality workmanship. I’ve found the only garage door company I will use from now on and if available I would request Marco to return.

Todd, the installer did a fantastic job reviewing my unit to determine the problem.Unfortunately, the fix was a new unit. Todd also suggested to old rollers (plastic) should also be changed.The new unit was quiet and worked well. The rollers helped with the noise as well.No pressure ever! I appreciated that very much. But my 20 year old motor simply had to be replaced to function properly.If I ever need anything concerning my garage door or the motor, Ill be calling Discount Garage Door!

Repairing my garage door was not at all an ordinary job. My garage itself is not of standard size so the door had to be custom made to fit its dimensions. Unfortunately, this meant that the standard-sized parts needed to fix the door would not fit. Instead of acting like it was a big hassle to get/find the appropriate parts, Daniel was more than willing to do the extra legwork needed to get the job done. I will definitely refer others to and use Discount Garage Door again if needed. Thanks for a positive experience!

Todd did a great (and really quick) job fixing my existing garage door opener that had broken due to the heat and repeated use when trying to set up my homelink in my car. He fixed it, recommended ongoing silicone spray for maintenance, and then even programmed my remotes in my homelink for me. This is why I stay with Discount Garage!

Randal was our technician and he did a wonderful job for us. He arrived on time and figured out what was wrong with out garage door. He replaced out torsion spring with two smaller ones, he adjusted the wheels and the rails and tightened everything up. The door works great now. Randal was polite and great to talk to. What an unbelievable experience! Marco is the man! Same day service. Both my large springs had broken in half along with a half dozen other problems and broken parts. Just want to commend your employee, Brian Smith, for the job he did repairing the garage door opener at my home. On Friday night, November 2, it was after 5 pm and we had friends over for dinner. We were taking them in our car to a dance. When we went to open the garage door to back out our car we were horrified to find that our garage door would not open. The spring had broken. I called Brian. He said he didnt live far and could fix it within the next hour. And he did just that!! He saved the day!!
