I bought my home from Oakwood. Unfortunately, there was a management change in the middle of the installment of my home. From that point on, it has been a nightmare. The only reason I even knew about it was because my home was delivered, nothing was being done for over two months, no one returned my phone calls, & I finally showed up in their office to find out what was going on. There was no attempt to communicate with me & fill me in on the delays. It wasn’t my fault that I got caught in the middle of an internal business fiasco, but I got tired of all excuses why things weren’t getting done. Jeremy decided to stop communicating with me completely when I continued to contact him about various things that still needed to be corrected. I believe his exact words were “I’m done with you.” I still have things that were never completed or repaired & it’s been almost a year. Worst of all is that I never received my actual keys to my home. The keys I have are still the original pass keys.I love my home, but my personal experience with the management was less than ideal.

Everyone else just declined us and never spoke to us again....but thanks to Jeremy helping us for 6 months we got our first new home!!!! We love our new home!!!! We spent months looking at houses. Found what we wanted somewhere else...but they were hard to deal with and kept adding things at the end. Stay away from people on admiral! We found oakwood on the way home and decided to stop by. Best decision we could have made. We found the same house we loved and saved a little money and they were really easy to work with. Just wish we didn’t waste 6 months before finding them

I bought my home about a year ago after we closed on the home it took about 8 months to actually move into the home we had a switch of management while our deal was going on. Once we moved into the home it seemed like every time we call to get a service out or get help they were bothered that we were reaching out. We had a couple things done that were done in a quick manner so they werent done correctly so we would have to call again. We still have things that were supposed to get done that or never done like our septic tank being leveled out I called almost every month for the year that I have my warranty to get that done and just got the runaround. And now I still dont have that level down or the property level doubt at all and now that the warranty is over theres not any help that Im going to get from them I think the deal started off where they were very nice but once youre sold then its a different story. I probably would have done a little bit more investigating before buying a home.

We love being quarantined in our new home. 🤪 They even called to check up on us during this whole thing to see if we needed anything. We had a small issue with our outside steps and they came out to fix it the next day. 3rd house we have bought. It was a nightmare at clayton but these guys have gotten it right this time

Bought my house, they changed the price from what I was told initially. After delivery we did the initial walk through and had some things on the list. I called them a few weeks later added a few more things, including the fact one of the kids rooms didnt get any air through the vent. They came and fixed a few things but told me there was nothing wrong with the duct work. My husband had to take the vent cover off, and start looking around to realize THEY NEVER HOOKED THE VENT TO THE DUCT WORK SO AIR WAS JUST BLOWING OUT UNDER MY HOUSE. Here we are 2 years later and they never did replace the broken mirror, there were cracks in some of the walls never patched, my refrigerator I purchased from them has never made ice, the walls have visible patches in them and I was never given any touch up paint..... Purchase at your own risk.

You sold a home to a mother of 3 and within a year and half the roof is leaking into their childrens room and accumulating mold. You are trying to get her to file an insurance claim which the deductible is 1500. It is within her warranty which she purchased for 5 years. You blame storm damage when other homes are not falling apart. This is not storm damage, this is you guys making cheap homes and taking advantage of a young mother. Therefore, you are getting one star review. I wouldnt even give you one star because this company is disgraceful.

Fast-talking sales(con)men/women with silver tongues. Everything sounded wonderful, & was til we closed on the manufactured home loan. Since then weve discovered a few holes in this companys (and associated companies) story. The survey company they work with said our property wasnt worth enough to get a new manufactured home, & were told that even with our land as a down payment/collateral we could only afford a previously repossessed manufactured home. That was the first fib; seeing as how our property estimate is twice the amount they said (without any structures or amenities on it). Before closing on the loan we were given pre-closing estimates/quotes on our loan, escrow, insurance & interest rate; which were a bit high but understandable due to the fact that neither my husband nor myself had any kind of credit. We didnt have bad credit, we just didnt have any credit. Then at the closing table is when we discovered that the monthly payments, through the bank/lender Oakwood does business with, were going to be $200 more than we were quoted, & the interest was 12.320% (meaning that by the time we pay off our 20 year mortgage note well have paid for our manufactured home almost FOUR times). But we had no other choice but to take the deal; wed already given 30 days notice to our landlord (that was our inexperienced youthful mistake). We were also told that even though the manufactured home wed be buying was/is a repossession, Oakwood would insure that it was up to code & any defects/damages would be fixed/repaired; that wed also receive new appliances & new air conditioning unit, all under warranty. There was another fib; the floor under the kitchen sink was warped & molded, the toilets were so corroded with lime deposits we literally had to use skinning knives to whittle the lime off the porcelain enough to get water to flow through & flush, we did receive a new refrigerator & cook stove under warranty, but the dishwasher was/is the same story as the toilets & is unusable/unrepairable, & lastly, the new air conditioning unit we received was new due to the fact that it had never been used/out of the box, but we soon discovered that it was a discontinued brand/unit, & had been so for a few years before wed received it, therefore voiding any kind of warranty it may have had at any time. Now heres the kicker; after closing we received notice to another change in our closing agreement, were not allowed to refinance for the first FIVE years of our mortgage (I figured it up & the interest the bank/lender will receive is the same amount as what we borrowed to purchase our manufactured home, so whether or not we ever refinance our mortgage at the five year mark, the bank/lender isnt losing a penny of what they loaned us to pay Oakwood Homes). Ive also recently discovered that due to the fact that our manufactured home is a repossession, meaning its been moved & were not the first owners, most lenders will not/cannot approve us for a refinance loan anyway. So let our experience be a lesson to everyone to not be so naive; do as much research as you possibly can before ever signing any kind of contract... you may just be signing your life (& future) away.

I like my home that we bought from oakwood its just that all the people we worked with are no longer there and now their new service department sucks. Because we were told to wait until our trailer settled before they would fix all the major cracks well now that oakwood has all new people the cracks arent getting fixed.

My son and Daughter in law bought a house a year and a half ago and there roof is leaking. They purchased an extended warranty on top of the manufacturer warranty and oakwood is refusing to fix the roof. It is clearly a cheaply made roof and they won’t uphold the part of their warranty that clearly states it covers structural issues. I understand that they want them to file under their home owners insurance, but this is insanity. A 1 1/2 year old roof with this much damage and leaks should be fixed by the manufacturer that made it. You charge a fortune for these homes, you should uphold your end of “quality” customer service and “quality” homes. My daughter in laws name is Ally Molenaar. Please do the right thing and help this family.

The first meeting went great! very friendly of course because they want the sale. They have amazing homes for walkthrough on their lot. I have a good credit score and now Im waiting for the loan call from their lender. Oakwoods first impression was great. I HOPE THE REST OF IT WILL BE AS WELL

So far after 16 years, we have been very pleased with our purchase from Oakwood Homes in Tulsa which I recently learned has been purchased by Clayton Homes. When replacing our roof recently the job called for replacing some pieces of the decking over the small space between the roof and ceiling due to rotting caused by roof leaks. This small area holds not only support for the roof but wiring and we were disturbed to learn the roofers pulled some trash from this area. While this probably happened during construction due to a careless worker and not a reflection on any dealer selling these homes, my wife and feel that this is totally unacceptable and a fire hazard and are thankful this issue was found and resolved by the roofers. 9/26/16

Everyone I talked to was so friendly! I felt like I asked a bunch of questions but they were able to answer everything and I really liked that I didnt feel like I was at a car lot being hassled to buy something.

I could not be happier with the experience that Ive had this last week. I came in, found my house and filled out an application. I found out I was approved three days later and now we are working on the specifics for my home. Thank you Ashley and Jeremy!!!!
