I’m 40 and, so far 🤞, I’ve been fortunate enough that my eyes are still pretty good. So when I noticed a speck in one and I noticed it move around, I became concerned. One eyed commercial driver, not cool. So a friend recommended Vision Source, I called and was able to get an appointment the next morning.I arrived the next morning 15 min early as requested. Filled out the paperwork. Maybe waited 10 min before I was called to the back for the eye exams. She apologized a few times during testing for being new but I thought she was awesome.Once done with those, I waited only a few minutes before the physician entered the room. I was seen by Dr. Ratchel Varghese. I was supremely impressed by how confident and knowledgeable she was in delivering details about her findings, what she believes it is likely to be, potential causes and in answering all of my questions. I only have one ☝️ complaint… wish there were a different nickname for a “floater.”

Vision Source Garland office building has one of the BEST CURBSIDE APPEAL Ive ever seen. The BEAUTIFUL, high-tech office space inside certainly caught my eye and DID NOT disappoint! It had a warm home-like feel with diverse, friendly, knowledgeable and professional staff.Dr Reyna Hernandez was so accommodating, down-to-earth and a ball of laughs. She explained medical details in laymans terms and made me feel totally comfortable during the entire office visit. Although, I had to pay more out-of-pocket at the end of my visit than anticipated. My overall experience was well worth the cost.For complete Eye Care Service, I highly recommend Vision Source Garland as your one-stop office source.

My daughter was seen in 2020 for the first time. Unfortunately, the insurance did not properly process the coverage. It is now 2021, time for her yearly exam, and I received a call from them letting me know that, for a year, they have been sitting on an open invoice and cannot see her until it is paid in full. I do not blame Vision Source Garland for mail not being delivered to my mailing address, but I do blame them for waiting almost an entire year to make me aware of the situation, via phone. I asked what if I decided to go elsewhere? How would you collect the past due? Their response was It would have gone to collection. This is not acceptable. I have been calling daily to see if they received the payment from the insurance because they will not see her until then. Poor service. Will take my business elsewhere once this is resolved.

I have been going to Vision Source in the Garland location for 18 years. Great staff. Just seen a new doctor Dr Neiman and he was very friendly. It was my husbands first time and he didnt complain like he always does. The doctor was thorough and good to talk too.

Vision Source made My experience of coming for my exam a pleasure. The building is beautiful, the staff are friendly. They did an amazing job of keeping things sanitized. The young lady that helped me pick my glasses was honest in her assessment of how they looked on me. Definitely would recommend.

This past Tuesday my son had an appointment missed work for that which is ok, my 5 yr old happen to have a doctors appointment the same day I’m a busy mom and didn’t realize that the message send from them saids not to bring an additional person due to COVID 🤦🏻‍♀️ I told the girl at front I can step out if I need to i was trying to avoid to reschedule and sadly it happen the girl said we have to reschedule your appointment due to the fact your bringing someone else ☹️ Not nice at all drove all the way from Royse city because we moved for nothing

We have been going to Vision Source of Garland for so many years now. I decided to write this review because I was so upset with the treatment I received today when I took my old daughter for her annual eye exam. Upon our arrival I was told by the lady at the front desk that they can not see us because I had my two years old child with me and they only allow two people in the exam room which was so disappointing as we had to drive all the way from McKinney and my daughter had to miss her classes for nothing. I dont understand why they cant accommodate parents with young child, where do they expect us to leave our child? No empathy at all, Very Sad! We recently moved to McKinney and would have been easier for us to find another provider close to us but decided to stay with them being their loyal customer but this incident has made us very upset and will never go back there. All of my 5 family members used to be seen there but they just lost our business!

Doctor Hernandez and her team are awesome! Everyone is very friendly and professional. They have taken extra steps to ensure their office is clean and safe during this Covid epidemic. Doctor Hernandez and her team take the time to explain and answer all your questions.Thats why me and my family drive all the way from Royse City to come here.

I am pleased with Dr. Hernandezs Office and Staff. They have set the office up for Patients safety. It seems that a lot of thought went into how to care in a safe manner for all that come into the office. Wait time very reasonable.

They just want money. When you have an issue the doctor doesnt even come out to talk to you. They did not tell me I had a balance FOR OVER A YEAR and when I checked in they did not tell me. They told me when I was waiting for the doctor and that I could not continue my appointment.

My kids have been going to this place of business for several years. My daughter wears disposable contacts. The office contacted her to schedule her annual exam and preform her fitting for contacts. Nevertheless, the billing office was aware that my insurance would not reimburse for her contacts for another 4 months. They proceeded to charge her for a $60 contact lense fitting. I called to get an explanation of why would they do a contact fitting when aware that she would not be able to order the contacts for another 4 months. Unfortunately, the lady could not provide an explanation . They are all about money. I recommend to find a business with integrity.

I have gone here for years and I keep returning. They are wonderful. The staff and both of the Doctors are outstanding. I was able to get a pair of glasses plus a pair of sunglasses at a very reasonable price.

Now I see first-hand why Dr. Hernandez has such a fantastic rating - Shes tremendous! I took my son for an appointment yesterday as she takes his insurance. I plan to switch to her care myself. Very professional yet personal to make you feel welcome. I had an older pair of glasses that I had purchased there a few years ago and the frame broke. They were able to put lenses in at a reasonable price the very next day! I appreciate the efforts.

Love Dr Hernandez! I have been having problems with night blindness & found out I have a cataract forming in one eye. She explained all of the results of my eye exam in a way that was easy to understand. I’m going to set up an consultation for my Mom about her cataracts. My Mom has been nervous about having surgery but I know Dr Hernandez will put her mind at ease.

Dr. Hernandez has awesome bedside manners. She is always very attentive and spends adequate time with me to diagnose and explain any issues with my vision. Her office staff is friendly and easy to deal with for appointments and checking in and out of the visit. The facility is spacious and welcoming. There is plenty of parking. The area can become congested with traffic around school start and end times and rush hours, but I just avoid those times. I highly recommend Dr. Hernandez for your vision needs.

Okay so I ordered my daughters glasses about 4 weeks ago but theyre giving me a temporary repair there arent even ready yet so I will never go here again but I can say some of the people up there and nice. They also told me that after 3 weeks my insurance still didnt go through but that makes no sense so they make up excuses just to keep it going longer I have never waited this long for glasses ever the buildings nice the insides nice and the people are nice and also they try to tell me when I first went in to order my daughters glasses because she has two insurances that they could only do one which is it true

Came here for my first time, and we loved it. They took the time to explain their eye care process and even assisted us in making sure my sons glasses were going to be a good fit. They broke down everything our insurance covered, and made the process easy. I’m glad we will be here every year for our eye care.

DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE CIGNA. I have had this issue SEVERAL times. I am covered under cigna vision, they tell me I am not. I showed my insurance policy along with being on cigna customer service with them. They still did not take my insurance saying I am not covered, even though they say they take cigna. Its a hassle, not worth it. Definitely changing doctors.

Great service from start to end, came in there wanting glasses because the frames on mine were broken and I was frustrated. Come in there to find a great selection of brands to choose from, I had an eye doctor/assistant assist me (she was young, didn’t get her name) but she helped me out through the ENTIRE service of looking at what frames to get me on how they fit on my face to checking my insurance on seeing how much everything would cost me towards the end. Nonetheless, I was convinced to buy some glasses from them because I found the right ones for an amazing price. She also took my broken frames to the back to temporarily fix them as best as she can while I would wait on the new glasses to come in, but this was actually before I even considered purchasing a new pair of glasses so it showed she actually cared and didn’t just want me for a sale. Front desk was also nice, they were training someone at the time so everything went by swiftly; overall great service, will come back here again if I ever need an eye exam without even mentioning that this place is literally a 1 minute drive from my house.

Upon entry to the establishment the young lady at the front desk was attentive and very helpful. Jade, Rosey, and Manuel were all so helpful and attentive to my needs and patient with me throughout out the entire process of accessing and selecting frames and lense options. Fantastic optometrist, Dr. Hernandez is incredibly knowledgeable and very communicative and open to all questions and concerns. Thank you all for the wonderful optometry experience you all provided. I had my exam in April (over 4 month ago!) and I still do not have my trial pair of contacts! I call the office 2 months ago and they said they would get back with me but never did. I called the office last week and they said were still waiting on one of the contacts that takes about a month because it is a special Rx. I had a similar experience with Vision Source last year & the DR said she would make sure it didnt happen again. Definitely will NOT go back to this place a third year!

Vision Source has been my family’s Eye Doctor for years now. Thr Dr. is very knowledgeable and explains everything in detail. The service is always great and the staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable as well. I would highly recommend Vision Source to anyone in the area that is looking for an Optometrist. Dr Hernandez asked for my vision and medical insurance cards when I arrived for an eye exam. She charged my vision insurance for the exam and I paid a $10 copay. When I came back to pick up my glasses I was told I owed an additional $40 for the copay on the medical insurance because she found evidence of diabetes during the retinal scan. I complained and staff said Dr. Hernandez agreed to remove the charge. Im still getting calls from her office for this charge and they just threatened to send me to collections over it. This is harassment and insurance fraud. I went to a real Dr. after her assessment and do not have diabetes.

I’ve been coming here for over 6 years, they really know how to take care of all my needs. Highly recommend it to anyone and everyone! 🤙🏽

I was so happy at this place for the last few years until today... very disappointing I suggest if a patient has an outstanding balance that the patient had no clue there was you should let them know before they drive in and won’t be able to see him until the balance is paid.I got off work early missed a few hours drove under the rain and lightning for 40 minutes and you wouldn’t see my son because of an outstanding balance that I wasn’t aware of. Really?!?!
