Do yourself a favor and avoid this place!! I brought in my car because the power steering was locking up while I was driving. I told them what was going on and they said it was a sensor in my steering wheel $600 later and it didnt fix the problem. I drove a mile after picking it up and it locked up again so I took it back. They looked it over again and said they had no idea what was wrong with it and they couldnt fix it. So I took it to another shop and they fixed it no problem for $400!! The mechanics at the other place I went to said the sensor had nothing to do with what was happening. A total scam of a auto shop...

Kevin is the greatest mechanic out there. He is fair and honest and provides great advice. I lease all my cars, but purchased my first used car and boy did it have tons of issues. He located each one. Some might say the pricing here is a tad higher, but the old adage goes, you get what you pay for! I recommend this place and wish I could give it 10 stars. He will be my forever mechanic.

Have been doing business with them for some years. When Kevin first started out, he was very accommodating and helpful. He let me pay for a large repair over a long period of time.Unfortunately, the customer service has gone downhill. Ive also discovered that his prices are a third or more higher than almost anywhere else.Recently, my daughter had an experience there where he put a tire on too tightly and when she needed the tire changed, the tow truck driver could not remove it. He told her that they put it on too tightly with the impact wrench.Consequently, we had to pay out of pocket to have it towed to Kevins shop. Kevin yelled at my daughter and said not to come back that there was not a problem with the tire and the tow truck driver was lying.Really? This is how you treat your customers after years of doing business with you? Dont worry, I wont be back!

Took my car here November 2017. They replaced sway bars and were supposed to replace the bushings. I got charged for both. I kept hearing a banging sound in the back, so I took it back. They said nothing was wrong. I took it back again and told them I still heard the banging sound, they said they were too busy to hear it, so I took my car elsewhere. Guardian on West Rd. drove my car around the block and heard it in seconds. They immediately put it up on the lift and the mechanic was able to replicate the sound manually by manipulating the bushings in front of me. He told me that there was no way my bushings were only 11 months old. He replaced them, charged me $50 less than Good Care did and the problem was fixed. Guardian gave me the old bushings. I went back to Good Care and asked if the bushings looked 11 months old and he said they did look new. He flat out lied to me. I understand people make mistakes, but Good Care had 3 opportunities to make it right and they did not. Good Care…you have lost my business for good. I will never get my time or money back so I will share this review so no one else gets ripped off.

Great work and will educate you in the process of repair if you ask for it. Showing you how they had to manage and execute the repair of a failed mechanical part ect. Fair prices. Will work to fit you into a busy schedule. Always recommend.Update- I had to get my car towed up to the shop and the Clerk let me know they have a 24 hour towing service for a going rate of $50 for hookup and $4 dollars a mile. That rate is so much more reasonable than any of the other dedicated tow companies in the area. I tried and tried to find one at a reasonable price and it turns out Good Care had it available over the rest of them the entire time.

I Took my sons truck there after two other garages could not find the problem. In Ten minutes there top notch mechanic named Jim told me everything that was wrong and with in a half hour all the prices laid out!Kevin the owner worked with my son on a few things because he is a college student. We are now letting everyone know how we were treatedand the job they did. Kevin and Jim are a unstoppable pair!!

RIPOFF!! Ladies do not go here!! I went here to have a nail removed from my tire. I know the going rate is $12. I should have asked but he should have offered too (had he been reputable). When it was done, he charged me $25!!! That’s over twice the going rate!! I usually try to support Southgate businesses but I cannot give this place any business! And they said In other posts that they charge $85 an hour labor and have for the last 10 years. That too is too much! Going rate is 65 an hour. He thinks women know nothing but I do and in the past have done all my own work. I should have fixed the tire myself (and I could have) but I didn’t have the time. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!! I’m ashamed they are located in my wonderful city!!!!!

Kevin is great, he took care of everything AND MORE. I did not even ask him to fix a small dent, but he did. He is very kind, and he listens well. I was scared to go anywhere else, because I usually go to dealerships. NOW, this is the only place I will be going to! Kevin and his crew are super nice, charming people, they replaced my brakes and rotors and wheel bearings and it was a few hundred less than i thought it would be. Kevin even brought me into the shop to show me the parts on my car before they reassembled it. This was my first time here but it wont be my last, theyre gonna be my new go to guys for any repairs.

So far l had new breaks installed. Had safety check done. My vehicle needed tune up, oil change, replacement of old belt which controlled air conditioner. They even replaced a burnt out light bulb. They are very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Their prices are reasonable. They did a fantastic job on my Kia Soul. They are a business that I can trust. I Praise God for them!!

Called and asked about tires he had posted and I said I would be there after work and when I got there he told me he sold them to someone else and didn’t call me complete wasted my time and there shop was a complete mess I wouldn’t let them work on a 300$ junker car

I have been going to Good Care Auto Repair for a long time now, probably close to 5+ years between 4 vehicles (2 of which were not mine). Every single time I go in to this place, I get an accurate quote and fast repair times. Prices are reasonable to cheap compared to other places, and I dont think I could ever bring myself to go anywhere else. I recommend this place to all my friends, and have even convinced a stubborn old man that this is the best repair shop in the downriver area. Its a scarey thought to have to find a place that you can trust to repair your auto but Im lucky to have this place to take my car. My car is now 12 years old and I was at the point do I trade it in our invest in it and good care allowed me to keep my car by offering a competitive price and a valuable service. This place as absolutely amazing. Professional and friendly. Efficient and detailed. They are willing to work around any schedule. I walked in last minute before work on a Saturday for what I thought was a back brakes and then found out it was the bearing. They took me in the shop, showed and explained how it was bad. I wanted to get it fixed ASAP and they had no problem getting me in and out before work and they were busy. I then turned around and went in Monday shortly before close for a oil change and they were more that welcome to have me. One of the best shops I have been to in the past 20+ yrs.

I wasnt going to write a review, but steer clear of this place. Over the summer they charged me around $1100 and they never addressed the issue I was having. They supposedly replaced my fuel pump for $800 but I have serious doubts about whether or not they did that. They also fixed a leaking valve gasket cover for around $300. My car still had trouble starting, and when I told the guy it wasnt fixed, he acted like that was the first time I brought it up and wanted to charge me $150 to clean the fuel injectors. Absolutely not. Now the mass airflow sensor they supposedly replaced a while back is bad again.Bottom line, if they did the work they said they did (which is a big if) they did a horrible job. Complete rip off. Go somewhere else.

Sorry I was not to impressed with the owner or his mechanics. I took my car in there for a repair not even knowing what was wrong with it. And to come in find out they never would call me back to let me know what was going on with the vehicle and they then said it was my engine I needed a new one then my husband went and did his research and found out it was the water pump. So after a week of having my car there and they did not touch it did not do anything to it so then I went and had it towed to an actual Ford dealership within two days they told me it was a timing chain issue not a motor so with this good car care I would not recommend you taking your vehicle there because they will tell you that its a major issue and not exactly what is the real reason its just more of a money thing for them and like I said I would not recommend taking your vehicles to that location anytime soon.

This shop has helped me over the course of the last year fix up a project car I own (2000 BMW 3 series). They were always more than fair on prices and gave me accurate quotes. The let me know other work that needed to be done ahead of time, and service was always expeditious. I will continue to visit them every time I have a job thats to big to DIY.

I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs. The people rip you off. Went in to replace my muffler, was told it wouldnt be more than 200 dollars. They did not even replace the muffler, just a connecting pipe and charged me what they would have for the entire muffler. They gave me a list of things that needed to be fixed, but half of them were completely made up (I had the list check by other mechanics). This guy just wants to scam you for more money. Unethical place of business. Never returning.

I brought my car in, I had lost three studs on one wheel. As I drove down Fort St., looking for a place to repair my ca,r I picked up studs and nuts. I pulled into Good Care and they took me right in. Since my Sebring did not provide the necessary access they had to remove the hub assembly. All in all the service was good, the price was discounted to a $100.00 from $120.00. I was grateful to be safely on my way again within a couple of hours. The Advanced Auto parts had given me the wrong studs but delivered the new ones to the shop when it was discovered. They kept me apprised of everything that was going on. No shocks no scares.

Brought our GMC here over 3 years ago to NEVER return! We came back though for the part we thought was leaking was the one they had replaced and therefore still under warranty. Well they quoted me $800 (not including labor) to change the power steering lines. YEAH RIGHT! Fixed now for 2/4 of that whatever their total would of been. Their prices are INSANE! They charged me $50 dollars for their time and because they added more power steering supposedly I told him the guy didnt mention charging me $50 dollars, but I guess. He said its all over their walls. Because when I go in there Im staring at their walls. Whatever. When getting our vehicle back, the noise was louder and there was no more leak overnight in our driveway. Hmmmm... Well, today Arrandas Tire (which I highly recommend, oh and they charge $25 for a thorough inspection, not $50 to $85 like their walls state) fixed it and they said that it was completely dry of power steering fluid.Anyways... I also added a picture of how their mechanics left my passenger seat (hope it shows) I told them my driver side handle had recently broken so theyd have to open it from the passengers side. FITHLY!!!! Thinking I should get my $50 dollars back to clean that passenger seat!DO NOT COME HERE.Wish the experience would of been different than years ago.

Ive gone here for years with different vehicles. Honestly glad to know I have a good mechanic I know I can trust. Im shocked to read a negative review because Ive really had quite the opposite experience. The owner could have ripped me off this last time I went in for my brakes but he didnt. I say that because when he called to give me the estimate he said something else MIGHT need to be replaced but he wasnt sure until he got into the job to see. Then he called back and said the part he was concerned about was ok and did not require a change. He never pressures you to get work done.

I dont feel right giving less than 2 stars because they did fix the problem we asked them to fix. However, they charged us probably double what it should have cost for a repair that should take a knowledgeable mechanic a few minutes, plus they had my car for 6 hours for like I said a repair that should take a few minutes. Prior to taking my car here we knew it badly needed an oil change and that was on the to do list along with a tune up. The night before we took the car there we checked the oil. It was full, it was totally black but it was full. A few days later I get to an oil change place and my oil is magically empty. I have literally no other explaination for this than whatever good care did to my car while it was there. Needless to say I will never be taking any car I ever own there again, and Ill make sure my friends and family dont either.

I had a problem with my back driver side door, and I needed it fixed ASAP. I stopped by and they took it right in. It was fixed in no time and the guy that helped me was super polite. I really appreciated all they did.

Just went to pick up something no other business

This place really did me wrong. I took my car there because there was grinding and pulsating with my brakes when I came to a stop. I took my car there on a Friday and when they said it was finished, I came to pick it up. They were still working on it trying to get the ABS light to go off on the dash. When he said he needed to keep it another night, I was told that if it was the wiring on the light, they wouldnt make an extra charge. When I got there the next day, they tried to charge me an extra $65. I told them that the other gentleman said it would be free if it was the wires so he said I worked a long time on this so I will only charge you $30, making the total $344. for the bearings, oil change and ABS light. My son went directly to work with it and when he got home that night, he said Mom, its still doing it if not worst. My husband called them up that Monday and they told him that they are not going to do anything else with it unless we pay for the additional work. They said that we didnt say anything was wrong with the brakes (even though thats why it was there in the first place), they would charge us for that also. This place is terrible and I wouldnt recommend my worst enemy to go there. I took it to Bell Tire, they drove it and immediately told me what the problem was. Needless to say, I am going to dispute this with my credit card company, (probably go to small claims) and report them to the BBB, because they wouldnt even try to remedy the problem.

Inflated prices & unethical quotes: bring in late model jaguar for exhaust problem they indicated the total exhaust needed replace, went to wear Master in lincoln, Park paid 75$ for leak & foreign car Automitive charged me 180$ for 2 oxygen sensors compared to 350$ at Good Car Auto..Beware!!

Never take you car there. They do guess work, and you end up changing many parts that are ok to begin with. I had to take my car twice with in couple of days for the exact same issue, and they still charged me twice for labor. They replaced the fuel pump and charged me $676, but the car was still stalling as before, then they replaced my fuel module, and charged me twice for labor.
