I went 5 minutes earlier and Matt was assisting me right away. He entered my information and explained me the process. I was waiting in the waiting room which is quiet and clean. When the car ready, he texted me and provided me with the forms before I was heading to the cashier. The services and worked were done professionally.

I took my car for a diagnostic to find out why it was stalling. They never could figure out the problem, so I asked them to do an oil change. I was not quoted any price for the diagnostic nor the synthetic oil change. They charged me $264! The last time Id received a synthetic oil change, they charged $50 and it was over $100 this time. When I spoke to management about it, they apologized that I had never been quoted prices and said they would send out a check for $25. Not great, but at least something. I never received a check from them. They dont stand by their word, and the prices are outrageous.

The waiting area clean and nice. Really had a good experience. I had general service, oil change etc. and a recall replacement part. David Trucios(Sp?) was great in explaining and informing me of everything. Be aware that the guys that detail the cars are not there on the weekends. I did not need my car detailed but some people want that and should go during the week. ALSO, the Metro station is a short walk from the dealership. This is a definite advantage to using them.

Koons makes it very easy for the Customer to schedule an appointment for service. Their concierge service is awesome. You dont have to drop off and pick up your vehicle. They come get it and return it. Their website allows you to see where they are with the repairs. They really make it simple for you and keep you informed during the processService representatives are very professional.

Always a good service as expected when visiting the dealership. Purchased the car here and continue to drive back to them for service, even though there’s a Toyota dealer across the street from my house.Only issue, I have asked for a car wash/rinse the last two times and it never happens. Otherwise totally happy with the service department.

We’ve used Tysons Toyota for 10+ years. Super easy to schedule appointments, incredibly knowledgeable staff, comfortable waiting room, overall super efficient. The only reason it’s 4 stars, not 5, is because they always try to sell you additional service that’s not necessary. But all their staff really know cars, not always the warm and friendly type, but they know what they’re talking about.

I was very pleased that they provide the service of picking up my car to take it to the shop for service. Once they identified the repairs needed, the service representative sent me a text noting what was needed and the costs associated with the required tasks. I authorized the work via text. When the car was ready, the service representative called me to let me know it was ready. Since I was not at home, I asked if they were going to call me to coordinate when the car would be brought to my house. I was told that yes, they would call me prior to bringing it to my house. Approximately 45 minutes later I received a text indicating that they were about to arrive at my house. Since I was not at home I was forced to scramble and figure out something for them to be able to leave the car at home. This was not good. Additionally, the invoice indicated that a repair that was recommended and I declined was new tires. Nobody mentioned tires to me and I checked the tires and they are good and don’t need to be replaced.

I went in for routine maintenance and was told there was a recall and that they would need to do a software download, it would have been nice if the dealership would have told me this in advance, maybe a little advance research to be prepared. I was told 2.5 hours, and I told them I would wait, so after 2.5 hours I inquired about the status of my car and was told it would be another hour or so, why didn’t they text me this info instead of me coming to them! Then the service technician asked me if I had somewhere to go and I informed him that I needed to work, I didn’t plan on being there all day, so he offers me a rental car, which I accepted, but I still used up a big part of my day driving back and forth. I think the bottom line is that there is poor communication, this place thinks we have all day to sit around a dealership.If you tell me 2.5 hours then I expect either my car to be done or some form of communication telling me why it isn’t.

I made an appointment to get my oil and filter changed and arrived 10 minutes early. After sitting in the waiting room for 1 hour and 40 minutes, I went to the area where the staff receives customers and ask for a status. The service advisor told me my car... Unfortunately, when the valet returned the car, it was unwashed. I asked the service advisor why it wasnt washed, and he said, because you didnt request it.I was perplexed why an oil change would take 1 hr and 40 minutes until I realized the service advisor recommended: 1) a brake fluid exchange due to moisture in the system for $185, 2) engine drive belt replacement for $289 and 3) a throttle body and mass air flow service due to carbon deposits for $260. Given my brake fluid was flushed 14k miles ago, I was beyond disappointed that Koons Toyota would recommend replacing it due to moisture in the system. (Thats a direct quote from the text message the service advisor sent suggesting theres moisture in my brake fluid NOT routine maintenance is recommended.)Its a car dealership, so its best to be an educated consumer. That said, its disappointing Koons spent so much time trying to sell me on things I dont need/want.

I used the concierge service for my 10000 mile service. It was convenient and professional, but overall everything took much longer than if I had gone to the dealership myself. Service only took 30 minutes but I had to wait 2 hours before I got the car back. When I have time and dont need my car right away it is fine. Otherwise it is much faster to go in-person.

I have been a customer of Tysons Toyota for about 17 years and am generally very pleased with the service. I have owned a Toyota Sienna and Highlander purchased from Koons.My most recent experience was among the worst service experiences. I had an appointment at 7:00am on 10/7/21 and showed up on time. I checked in with Brian for an oil change and sat down in the lounge and waited for two hours with no further contact. I finally went back to the service desk and Alex (Brian had handed me off to Alex) told me I didn’t need an oil change but the oil gasket on my 2015 Highlander Limited needed to be replaced under my extended warranty. It also needed a drive belt. They needed to keep it for a “couple of hours”.They gave me a loaner and I waited at home until after 3:00pm. I then tried calling Alex three (3) separate times. Each time I was put on hold for a long time with no answer, directed to a different person’s voice mail or directed to Alex with no answer. I finally drove back to Tysons Toyota and my car was ready. My low rating is based on the mixed up, disorganized communications and NOT the actual technical services I received.

I required some maintenance on my 2012 Toyota Prius, and I scheduled service for the next day, and Koons’ concierge service picked up my car the next morning. I got texts from one of the Koons associates (Brian) throughout the day with clear, concise, and detailed maintenance suggestions (with costs for each service included). Koons’ concierge service returned the car the next day with all the maintenance completed. I paid online so I never had to go to the dealership once. I had no issues at all with Koons and their concierge service and vehicle maintenance. Highly recommended.

Took in a 2015 vehicle because one headlight was not working and the other headlight had a melted connector. They said the connector needed to be replaced so I pre-paid and took the car back when I was told the part had arrived. Apparently, though, the connector couldn’t be replaced…the whole assembly needed replacement but, get this, they wanted to replace the one where the light was working. They said the other one just needed a bulb and likely blew because it was too strong or because I didn’t use gloves to put it in. NOT impressed with the particular device supervisor I had this time. All other times there have been no problems and they’ve been upfront and straight with me…or so I think. Who knows now?

Service was quick and efficient. Really appreciated the kids room. Valet needs to be way more polite and patient especially with moms trying to get their kids out of the car and get all their stuff together. It takes a moment to get kids out so rushing the customer is definitely not welcomed while trying to herd cats. Also 5 hrs later after the cars first maintenance, the tire pressure warning light turned on but the pressure should have been checked at the service visit.

My experience at the Koons Toyota Dealer Service was Great, because my service advisor Matthew was always keeping me updated on my vehicle and making sure that my vehicle was fine. He was really polite and kind. I would recommend this service advisor and the service anybody that brings their car in for service. Also the part that surprises me a lot is when I arrive to the service lane, I see how the porters work really good on notating the information of the vehicle really fast, and that is good service right there. According to the invoice, work was completed at 8:58 am. Nobody contacted me. I sat in the waiting room until 10:50, when I went to check the status of my vehicle. Representative was flippant. Had to look for my paperwork and finally said it had just finished and I could go to the cashier to pick up my keys. I drove 1 and a half hours just to bring my vehicle to your dealership. Lost a whole day due to the waisted time. I will be changing the dealership I deal with in the future.

They have concierge service which is spectacular!! They pick then fix car and then return it for you!! There was a bit of a wait for parts because they had to get them from BMW in Austria which took 2 weeks. But with a new Supra that was to be expected. The car is superb and the dealer threw in several maintenance agreements at reduced rate. Having Toyota maintenance quality and service costs as compared to BMW costs is really great. Great dealer. I’ve been doing business with them for over 17 years now!!

I purchased a battery for my RAV4 in April 2021 and in July 2021 it did not start. When i tried to start it the engine did not turn over and just had the dashboard lights on. Toyota stated they had to recharge the battery because it had a low charge. I said to them I did not leave the lights overnight or do anything to drain the battery and drive it my several times a week. A new battery should not need to be recharged. Since it was under warranty and I only had it for a few months I requested a new battery but they stated my current recharged battery was still good. I disagree.Thank you for providing me with a phone number for Koons Toyota customer relations. Unfortunately I called and left a voicemail but never received a call back.

I am surprised Koons Tysons Toyota asked me to do a review. I took my certified used car, bought two months ago from Koons, in for a check engine light. They said it was a broken wire and thus wasnt covered by their warranty -- of course. They said they could try to repair the wire for $720, but that they might have to replace the entire wiring harness for $4620. Instead, I took it to my normal mechanic who fixed it quickly and for $20. Every other time I have gone to Koons for recalls on my other car, they try to convince me to have them repair a long list of supposed problems -- that my mechanic dismisses. I cant imagine anyone taking their vehicle to Koons for repairs unless the goal is a charitable donation to the Koons family.

Service is great upon my arrival with being nicely greeted, directed to a Service Rep and checked in. I was told it would be an 1 1/2 hours which is reasonable for them to do an oil change and do the maintenance checks. At 2 hours I requested a status check. I was told there was a power outage which caused a delay but should be done shortly and he would let me know something asap. 30 minutes later I have to ask for another status. To be told my paperwork was at the cashier and they would bring my car up. Paperwork signed...no car. I walk outside to see my car parked in a spot...two attendants outside was obviously not aware they were supposed to pull my car up. Which also made me wonder how long had my car been parked since they supposedly just finished working on it and was bringing it where I could hop in and go.. A little suspicious to me as to what really was going on. There is no point in providing my cell phone number to be kept informed, just to be not kept informed. This happens every time I bring my truck in for routine maintenance check. I wait for over 2 hours..close to 3 at times and am never (maybe once out of the 4 or 5 times) informed as to what is going on until I text and asked for a status. Then miraculously they want to tell me what my vehicle needs as if I want to sit there another few hours. If I was going to have them take care of the problem, I wouldnt because if it takes over two hours for routine maintenance I can only imagine how long other services will take. Im sure they work hard, but they really need to work on providing better customer service. Sorry.

James, my service advisor, is a pretty knowledgeable professional. I wish I could say the same thing about the girl who answered my call, when I asked for a ride back to the dealership. At first, she said it would take 20 minutes. When after over 30 minutes, nobody showed up to pick me up, I called her again. This time she said that it would take another 20 minutes, because there is ony one driver picking up and dropping off customers. Excuse me?! Why didnt you say this to me, when I first called? What a shame! No respect for other peoples time.

I took the vehicle in for the owner. Its a new car so I took it in for the new car service-oil change, adjust floor mats, rotate tires. I waited for more than 2 hours before I inquired about how much longer it was going to take to finish the service. I was told the car was still in the bay and it would be a few minutes longer. When I got the vehicle back, it was hot inside which meant it had been parked outside for a while and it didnt get the usual complementary car wash. I checked the service order and the job took 21 minutes if I read it right. Im not sure if all, or any, of the work was done, but I expect better from a dealer.

I’ve been going to this shop regularly since 2006 when I bought my 1st 4Runner there. I go out of my way to use this shop as I have moved further away.My last 2 visits were not stellar as they usually are.For a safety inspection I needed a turn signal lamp which they said would be $40 to replace!! They did not try to explain that on this car it required pulling out an under-fender panel to get to the lamp. I fixed it myself.For a brake inspection I asked them to diagnose noise coming from the rear end at highway speed. They said something about a loose piece of metal associated with the caliper but neglected to catch, let alone explain, that the other back wheel’s rotor was worn down almost to the point of failure. Finally, they had listed a charge to rotate my tires but since I bought them there this was supposed to be a free service. They corrected the charge when I called them on it.Maybe it’s time I found a new shop.

Ive been experiencing poor starting on my 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid--3 AAA jumps and each svc man said it WASNT the battery. I bought a new battery anyway & scheduled a check-up w/my service rep. ALSO had a chirp upon starting the vehicle since December, off & on--diagnosed by friends as a belt, or. the cold even in the heat weve had so far this year!.My service rep kept me well apprised of the testing and lack of results regularly over the day & a half Tysons Toyota had the vehicle.BUT, the biggest and most wonderful surprise was the fact of Valet Service for my vehicle--from my home & return the next day--painless and without any hassle. (And I live in a gated community!)Ill definitely take advantage of this service again. Thanks Toyota and John!♥️

I didn’t like the fact that i called before to make an appointment and they estimated waiting time was like 75 min and when i go there they told be about 1 hour and 30 min which is fine cause i preferred to get a real time so i was waiting there and it was almost 2 hours i had no call no text i was like i was given to estimated times and none which are true i waited for the 2 hours or so and went to check and apparently my car was already ready who knows from how long….¿ i mean come one we have other things to do and this is the reason why we ask an estimated max timing . Poor service . On communication.

Please dont use Toyota for your state inspection, they reject your car for nothing, I got rejected for windshield wipers, which were by the way fine, they just wanted to charge me for the service, went to AutoZone to double check and they told me that wipers were fine, will never come back for the service.

I left feeling disappointed in Koons Toyota. I went for general maintenance, because that’s under warranty, and for a fix for my blind spot sensor which wasn’t working.After diagnosis, they told me that a dent on the back of my car, one that had been there for over a year before the sensor went out, was the cause and that meant it wasn’t under warranty and would be $500 to fix it. Then they gave me a list of other things they thought my car needs for an additional $1000. They were charging $50 to change windshield wipers! I can do that myself for $25. Then, the price they quoted me to flush my air conditioning system suddenly went up $40, which I argued against.I decided to decline the $500 blind spot fix because I knew that was BS, but asked them to do the Brake fluid and air conditioning flush for $350. As I’m sitting there waiting for my car to be finished, the same exact lines are fed to another customer about dirty brake fluid and mold in her air conditioner, and her car was a year younger than mine. Hearing the same exact wording and lines just made me so angry.I left Koons feeling taken advantage of and frustrated at their attempts to get $$ from me. Overall, the experience has definitely made me feel cheapened and angry at Koons. I don’t like being taken advantage of and that’s definitely what happened. They have lost my service.

My platinum service plan has paid off of 7 years or 100,000 miles and I am low mileage of 4k miles per year. 2 Tires replaced free from nails stuck in them in the past

I went in for maintenance and air conditioning check. At first they said my repair parts to the air conditioning would take 3 days to come in. Then they told me it would be another 2 days. When I put my car back in they said there were more parts needed that would take another 3 days to get and another $235. I kept asking for a free rental car in order to leave my car. They finally said I could have one when I came back in. Then I got several texts and calls saying that I needed an appointment. When I called ti make an appointment they said they had no cars that day and that I would need an appointment for Wed instead of Tuesday. Tuesday morning I get a call wanting to know why I wasnt there since they had a car reserved for me. I went in on Tuesday and did get a free rental for the day. It appears that the right hand doesnt know what the Left hand is doing. Also the coupons they send out has a dead phone connected to it.

Tysons Toyota and Alex in the Service Dept went above and beyond to explain what was going on and what work needed to be done on my Toyota Sienna Minivan. I never felt pressured and they were very accommodating to my daughter and I who also used their Shuttle Service. Will definitely recommend them to anyone.

Davids patient and easy to understand method of explaining what was required really helped take the suspicion and difficulty away in choosing what was required for my car, and allowed me to make the best decision. To put it simply. It’s seems to be confusing task each time I go for service. It starts off great with someone greeting you when you arrive. Then the experience goes downhill from there. You walk inside to one of the service advisors No one offers to help you just end up seeking someone out yourself I will say service is quick. I got a voicemail message to say my car was ready and to see Lynn or Alina. Yet. Not all service people have name plaques clearly visible and again no one offers to help point you in the right direction. When I do get to the right person. He hands me the paper for signature without explaining anythingI have another car which I take to Brown’s Mazda In Fairfax. The service experience is a world of difference, like night and day It’s always a pleasant experience and I enjoy taking my car there for serviceI am in the service industry as well and I treat my customers as if they matter. I would expect the same kind of service at Koons Toyota

I dropped off my car and asked about how long it would take. They said theyd get right on it. Two hours later they told me I needed $1000+ repair. They took me home and delivered the car three hours later. The convenience was nice. The cost of the minor repair was not.

I like that they connect with me by text message, so I was able to schedule and pickup my car without interrupting my work schedule. They kept in touch throughout and sent me an email recap of the details and bill. I doubt I spent more than 15 minutes total physically at the service center when dropping off and picking up my vehicle.

Had an appointment but still Waited over two hours for oil change and tires rotation just to be notified about additional services recommended ( rear brakes, flush breaking system, coulant, … almost a thousand dollars). I was offered a free rental for a day.No one bother to call me to let me know that the service was completed. I had to call twice to get the status of my repairs. On a positive note, the check in/out was easy, fast and efficient. Very friendly and professional valet service.Recommendations :-please reduce the waiting time for basic service : oil change, tire rotation.-make recommendations about additional services/repairs as soon as you start working on a vehicle not after 3 hours wait.

I was not happy with my experience there. You told me how bad my pads and rotors were (on top of other things), but still passed my inspect)ion. I almost spent $800 or so on stuff that wasnt really needed. My friend and i looked at my car at his house and did the work ourselves. But he commented that the rotors were fine and the pads still had 25-30% left on them.If someone comes in for an !, but upfront and say the work wasnt really needed. Dont do it after i reject the work and am expecting a rejection sticker.Also, I thought I had an appointment at 815am, made online, only to wait in a line of 20 cars at the same time and had to wait 2 hours to get a diagnosis.Not happy with my experience. I bought my prius there, but will not be for my second one

Both doors couldnt automatically slide to open or close. My appt was at 9:30am and didnt finished until 12:30. It took them 3hrs just to check the doors where they said the switch was turned off and they only needed to turn it back on. There were no service or repair required. Very disappointed with how long I had to wait with an appt. 😒😒

Ive been coming to Koons every couple months for routine maintenance since 2015.Check-in process is pretty clear, and I always opt to wait since the waiting room and outdoor areas are nice to read a book in. Also, theres a Potbellys within walking distance.At this most recent check-up it was clear my car needed some work. I didnt have to arrange to come back another day, which was great.Text message system works well there for updating you and getting authorization. Brian was my service coordinator this time, and he was very nice and professional, good communicator.Havent had a bad experience here.

They charged me for a certain milage checkup instead of the regular maintenance stuff I usually get done there. Didnt notice because I had some other stuff done and the charge was around the same price. They didnt even ask me. When I called to make the appointment, I had specifically asked for for the regular maintenance like oil change, tire rotation and top off fluids stuff. I guess they decided on their own to do it. This was the second time they did this to me. I will try their other locations firsts before I try to find another place to do all my car stuff.

I took my 2014 Prius in for the 95,000 mile service. It was free because I spent $1617 the last time I was there. I ended up paying $725 for more repairs that I’m not sure I needed. I was also told that when I come back again I will need to pay $837 more. I’m having a hard time believing that my car needed this much work. It has hardly been driven in the last year. I might need to find a new place for service.

Had car die. Towed to lot. Brian in service was great. Was referred to sales department to replace vehicle. Got one quote, but told it was going to be outdated in 24 due to promo change. Sales person never followed up. I just went and bought car from competitor.Also if your car is dead sell to carbrain much better offer then Koons.

I always feel that the service team advises on what is needed & I appreciate when they identify that some items are recommended rather than required. It would be nice for repeat clients to get a basic car wash seems like that would be a minimal cost but a nice added amenity.

This was my first time coming for my 90,000 mile check up, I had a appointment for 8:30 in the morning. I really like the fact that I could drop it off the night before! ( but first I went to the dealership to get information about it they or this guy told me they don’t know anything about the Service department)! So I just went back down there and look around and found what to do!!! But in all I believe that I will continue to come back to Koons for service or to get my next car or truck !!

The system that they are working with 0.I have been going to Koons Tyson’s Toyota for 12 years and I received the best care until my last 2 visits. The latest one I called maybe 4 times to schedule my routine service, being passed from one person to the next and each one tell me a different thing to a point that I didn’t even wanted to go there anymore. (They changed the appointment process...)Then I show up for the appointment, all is well and they said they would let me know if I need any additional repairs. 3 hours I was waiting -it’s COVID time so I expected it- what I did not expect that they tell me the repair list when I went to pick up my car. So I said No. then they tell me that if I don’t do the repair my car may not even make it to the street.....!I asked why you didn’t tell me sooner and the guy says this is the new system. The technician’s recommendation comes through when he is finished with the car and close the report.....System Score? 0

This was for a safety inspection. I called the service department and I made an appointment for 9am. When I arrived at 8:55 I was informed that such inspections were on a first come first served basis. I had to wait over two hours even though I had an appointment.

The experience was really bad. After service they told me that car is good, no problem. It is safe to drive. However, the next day after service I drove it and it broke on highway. They don’t pay attention at this place on little details. What did they do with it for 1hr and 30 minutes? It was very disappointing!! This is not the first time I experienced this with this place!!
