Extremely crowded even with their appointment system, comparable to a Chick-fil-A drive through. The young man who helped my wife and I was knowledgeable, kind and patient with her... Possibly more than myself. 🙃
Do not waste your time going to the store. They will not help you and tell you to do everything online. I was told something different when I talked to Apple Support over the phone. Smh. You also get better features if you do it yourself at home. It’s like their computers there are set up where you have to come back to the store for an item.
Overall good experience!Staff was very good & welcoming. Store was well organized.Bought an iPhone & replaced an apple watch in 30 minutes on a Saturday.I had a shopping appointment & got late by 15 minutes & it got cancelled (without any confirmation) because there were no reminding message or email. This part could have been better.
Worst shopping experience with staff name Jake from Korean. He is not professional at all, Wish apple can put him back to training to know how to treat Customer right !!!
Walk-ins are not welcome, despite the website saying it was. we drove over an hour to get a watch on my wifes birthday, we knew exactly what item we wanted to purchase and I did not want to wait. The store was crowded but over 50% of the people were apple reps and we were told at 1:00 ish that we could not be seen until after 3 because we didnt have an appointment, despite the fact that multiple apple shirt people were not engaged it was apparently impossible for one to simply ring up a product and let us be on our way. This also included one sales rep taking longer to explain why he couldnt simply ring us up because he had 4 appointments ahead of us. So our recommendation is to avoid this horrible customer service retail location at all costs.
Third visit in the week - Monday, Thursday and Friday achieving final set up of iPhone 12 Pro Max which was purchased on Thursday’s adventure. Store manager, Tom, completed the job on the third visit, Friday, April 23 in 38 minutes flat having exquisite result following 2 earlier mediocre attempts.I have purchased 2 Macbook Pro laptops, 1 iPad and 5 iPhones at this store. My experience in all instances of setting up devices has been excruciatingly painful. The exercise is massively time consuming. It has been about a year since my last visit and I notice now the geniuses require agreement to a verbal disclaimer before engaging in work that, in fact, some data may be lost in their efforts. I am guessing my past experiences are not unique. I appreciate Tom’s patience and skill for a satisfying result.
Had appointment at the Genius Bar. I was 5 minutes early, and ended up waiting 45 minutes for someone to come. Every single table was full throughout the entire store.Go somewhere else if you can, unless you have an appointment and can wait an hour.
Walked in an hour before they close, yeah an hour! And they literally told me they can’t sell me an iPad cuz they have two other customer in line. What’s the point of having a store completely staffed then? They had employees doing their own stuff on stations, I know cuz the guy who was helping me tried to get someone to help me and got rejected by these employees that were busy talking between them.
I made an appointment for for 7:30pm to purchase an iPhone, i arrived at the store at 6:30pm and one of the staff approached me and I told him I need to apply for apple card he said go ahead and do it on one of the macs. I went ahead and applied but said my application is under review which made me to call apple customer service which I stayed with an agent for exactly 55 mins and the issue was that the application needed more info (drivers license) to upload. So I went ahead and tried to upload my drivers license but it did not let me because the store Mac was restricted so I have to apply again for an apple card so I can upload my drivers license so that took me to 8:30 until my application went through and I went ahead to try by an iPhone on installment plan but the agent in the store told me that it needs an hour so the order will be completed. So it would be the next day since the store was closing in 30 minutes. Note that I drove 2 hours to the store and I came back empty-handed because of apples policy which I think it is very stupid not to process payment from your Apple card instantly and taking 1 hour to have an order fulfillment. Ill try my best to stay away from buying Apple devices because of their stupid policies.
Worst shopping experience of my life ( 57 years, some as a federal procurement officer) trying to spend 700 dollars just to buy an iphone 12 mini. Walked in and wanted to purchase this product ( the product, no setup or instructions needed) but the entire sales staff was very rude and I was informed that store would be closing in 30 minutes and they had no time to get me the product and run my credit card, yet they had time to talk at the store entrance waiting for closing. Told to make an appointment to come back....you have got to be joking. I, and the business that I run relying on Apple phones will never be back.
I came here to change my airpods pro under recall program. They said they dont have in stock and they can not ship it to me. I asked them to bring to the store. After that I came to pick up them but they said they cant keep them more than 5 days. I asked whats next. They said you have to have another appointment for examination. After that they will ship it to the store and then I will have to come again and again. Its a defective item. Apple checked it and confirm that It has problem. Why do you need to ask customer to come 2 times for testing? Why can not ship them? I have 2 full time job. I asked the solution but they didn’t do anything.
Apple was marvelous their team members went all out to satisfy
Bad experienced, been in the store to buy phone. An associate get my name for the next sales rep to assist me. I was next in line..waiting time 2 minutes for the next available associate. So much so, i left empty handed…i hate to say this but they are choosing whom they approached first either you are capable to buy or not. Why? Three people had been approached and being helped already but i came before them..and even the other guy next to me who just entered minutes after me…and the lady came to helped him. Registrations wasn’t true and not followed at this store. I was shock, i thought they are better than that.
Prompt and very helpful! Will return to this store again if I need in person assistance.
Extremely well organized during pandemic times. Shopping appointments and genius bar appointments. Friendly staff.
Horrible Store, I tried to buy an Apple Watch for my girl friend and knew exactly what I want just needed somebody to ring me up. I was put on a waiting list and told come back in 1h, after returning I was told there are 3 people ahead of me and should just wait, after 30 minutes I asked again and I was told again there are 3 people ahead of me, I waited another 30 min. and asked again but still 3 people ahead of me.Go to H… Apple!
Nice looking mall, but too many shops are still closing early.
Called them via phone and asked if they do walk ins since I’m interested in purchasing a MacBook. They told me walk ins are welcome and they’re no longer doing appointment only. So 15 minutes later I arrive at the store and they tell me if I want to purchase a MacBook, and ask questions I would need to speak with a specialist. So in other words I can buy the laptop without an appointment but if I had any questions I’d need to speak to a specialist?? What type of logic is that. The earliest appointment was 1 hour and 10 minutes away which completely rendered my trip useless. Going over to micro center now, where they don’t have illogical sales people, and they actually value their customers rather than the customers having to climb though a whole bunch of red tape just to purchase from them.
Don’t even think of using Genius Bar at this place, better use YouTube videos learn yourself, and do it. It will save you money, time and most importantly Data.If that does not work schedule a call with expert instead. They lost all of my emails on Mac book Pro and Selective data on iPhone as well which was there for years. And in return handed over me the third party data recovery people contact details, to pay and get fixed....????
Always good food. Nice happy atmosphere. Server was great.
Made a purchased for an Apple Watch. Called the support line after receiving the pick up confirmation. They told me that the store opens at 10am. Got there at 10:45am the store was closed. The specialist came and told me that the store opens at 11am. I explained to him that the Apple Support rep told me that I can come to pick up my order because the store opens at 10am. I also told him that I need to be somewhere else at 11am so I need to get the watch now. He refused to do so. It’s a simple transaction. I didn’t need to get anything else. Apple, you messed up by telling me that the store opens at 10am and now you didn’t want to correct that mistake by simply just give me my product that I had purchased. Cmon. I used to work for the company I know that this is just simple transaction which would literally take no more than 5 min. This is a bad customer service as simple as that. The guy could’ve helped me if he wanted to. He just didn’t care. Apple customer is really going down. And this is the second bad experience that I have in the row.
Fantastic I was in an out the rep was so understanding...
Called for a simple quote on price to replace the back glass of a phone. 15 minutes later, 3 machines and one person and still didnt get to how much it would be. Instead they wanted Apple ID, serial number, imea number and multiple other things that didnt have anything to do with my request. Even after advising I was frustrated I couldnt get a straight answer, they continued to ask additional questions regarding account info instead of just giving me a quote.
The guy there October 2nd (Saturday) at 7-7:30 pm, the one meet you at the door, he was rude and he ask me to do everything online. They do not want to do any help. Also, the other guy was telling the same, even though I told him I need some explanation so I can do it online. They do not want to work.
Fairly knowledgeable staff. Efficient crowd handling. Quite a few people in the repair kind.
Bought MacBooks and iPads here. Great experience.
Terrible experience. Showed up at the Apple store only to find out they had pushed me off the calendar and moved my appointment to the back of the queue due to me being 1 min late. Store was half empty. Waited around for another half hour before I was seen. The manager was confrontational and condescending. Fair Oaks Apple staff was unfriendly overall. Need to work on their customer care.
Greeting was immediate. They were A bit busy during our appointment time but one of their staff did help us out . The wait time to be serviced was about 20min.
Amazing services, I was on the express pickup line. And it lasted 5 minutes to get my product, and the representative showed some interest in my photography equipment and made some conversations about what i.like taking.pictures off. And sometimes thats all it takes to give great customer service
We had called ahead looking for a watch that a relative wanted to buy. They said they had some that we could come look at and buy. When we arrived one of the workers rudely stopped us and told us to get in line to talk to a coordinator. The coordinator finally told us he could schedule an appointment for the next morning. Between the lack of communication and rude interaction I will never go back.
In and out in no time. Loved it. Great service guys.
I’ve had several consecutive good experiences at this store. On two occasions I ended up not getting old computers repaired and what I appreciated most was the fact that the staff didn’t try to make an extra buck off me. Instead they gave me good advice. I’ve ended up buying a new phone and a new MacBook Pro from them. The Pro had to be specially configured and still it arrived at my house the next day. Always friendly and helpful staff.
My dads iPhone had a small part of the charging port get stuck in the charger hole, but we couldnt figure out what was wrong with it and why the phone wouldnt charge. I came to the Apple store and they quoted me $400 and said that I would need a replacement phone as the whole thing needed to be replaced for something so small, and couldnt give me an early appointment either. I went to a different company that fixes phones without booking an appointment and they were able to resolve my problem in less than 5 minutes and took $30 to fix it (remove the piece stuck inside), and now the phone is working perfectly fine. I dont recommend Apple for repairs as these people are ripping you off for your money, whereas the same work can be done elsewhere nor do their technicians have a clue on how to fix phones. Save yourself the money, time, and headache.
I dont own Apple products. I would never buy something that the manufacturer intentionally slowed down performance to make my battery last longer (sorry excuse for making people buy new phones). However, as usual, there was a long line to get into the place like minions to their leader.
Good customer service
Yet another terrible experience with the Fair Oaks Apple store. Although to be fair it is mostly Apple corporate that is at fault. Why have scheduled appointments if you cant actually be ready for the customer until 20 minutes after that time? And then despite knowing exactly what the issue I was having was (the Airpods Pro recall), not have the actual parts in stock and force me to come back. When surprisingly I am not able to come in the week of Thanksgiving and I needed to reschedule, I cant send an email to do so, the text system that was offered when I tried to dial the store ended after 15 minutes when the person told me they could not help me. Finally after calling the local stores number and being connected to someone who was not at the store after being on hold for 10 minutes I was given a new genius bar appointment.
Nice store and nice folks working there. Too bad pandemic hit because this Apple location is easier to get to and less hectic than other locations in the area. Please, Apple, keep this location open and well resourced.
I made an appointment. Got there on time. I was checking out the phone I wanted to buy. Three minutes into my appointment I was very rudely told to hurry up that people were waiting in line.
The mall is not crowded at 4:30 in the afternoon.
We went to Reston apple to see about a repair for a Mac book pro. Long story short couldn’t be done but we could buy a new one and due to the screen issue we wouldn’t get the 750 trade in only 200. When the new machine came in we had to go get all data moved. We got an apt first one available was fair oaks. We figured ok and went there. This store said no trade in value her is the old Machine back. Understand the monitor issue is a known issue due to the way the machine is made.I will not buy another apple product We needed apple for college course reasons. I am not a fan and would not recommend the products
Had an appointment at 3:30pm, came in at 3:32pm, had to wait in line, made it the store at 4pm. Got my watch & wrist band for it, got out of the store, came back to exchange the wrist band waited again in line another 40min, figured out that they have 1 person working only for “EXPRESS PICKUP” express.... bs always line, people complaining, not enough that they are robbing us and making us buy everything separately but now you have to pray to get in on time...
I had an appointment at 2.35 PM but I showed up at 12.30, the person who attended me told me that it was very early and to come back at 2.35 pm from my appointment and then I returned at 2.25 and they told me I had to stand in line That was 20 people who took at least Ivan to take 1 or more hours, so that they make an appointment at an hour if those who arrive without an appointment pass before one. The attention of that center is a mess without order
Unimpressed. Two stars because some of the sales reps like Jackson were worth the five stars, but there are a lot of people here who act 0 stars. I’ve had my eyes rolled at, told I wasn’t the priority customer, and had to come back three times in the same week to resolve the issue. Luck of the draw with who you get here. Either someone really friendly or someone who acts like they don’t care about your money or time anyway.
Such slow service we just needed to pick up my girlfriends laptop which only had a diagnostic done on it and had to wait in line for 40 minutes. Ridiculously slow
The Latino guy at the entrance where I was directed to him to pickup my IPad Air case was really bad. He was saying to another employee that he would be out for lunch after taking care of me. It gave me the impression that he was in a hurry. When he got the case, I told him that I had a discount through my company. It showed him my work email and everything and he just said he could not find it on his system. He just asked if I wanted to pay that $82 or not. I just bought an IPhone Case at Tyson Corners mall last night. I wanted to get the iPad case today. It seems like this Apple Fair Oaks always has this terrible service. Not ever again even though I live right across the street.
Tried to update my macbook air to the latest os couldnt even help me with that just gave me the run around with the online appointment drove all the way to fairoaks a hour away just for this apple this is lackluster I understand covid times are hard but have some common sense for crying out loud.
I brought my phone in to have the screen repaired. When I arrived I was told they were running a couple minutes behind. A couple minutes was actually 30 minutes behind. I finally got inside and was told the repair would take an hour. I came back an hour later and was told itd be a couple more minutes then quickly told itd actually be another 40 minutes. The reason was that my phone was charged too much when I brought it in - something they could have warned me about when I dropped it off, if not beforehand. I was told it took them an hour to drain my battery enough (from 80% to 60%) to do the repair. When I asked why I wasnt told about the battery issue ahead of time, even though the tech could have clearly seen it was nearly full when I dropped it off, the manager said that they didnt know how much longer it would take.So apparently mine was the first screen theyd ever replaced that was charged. Completely ludicrous and unbelievable.
Great experience today! Sunday is definitely a super busy day and I had just got off of work and had driven to the Apple store to see if there was any time left for me to get my phone worked on before the mall closed. I got locked out of my phone and had to use it for work. Three Apple workers assisted me on this complex issue and I am back up and running and able to use my phone.
Staff Anina(maybe) Africa American female, very rude and unprofessional! Horrible customer service. I feel apple customer service is getting worse!
Horrible store!!! The employees are so rude! You are there to spend money and they tread you like you are a piece of S*!!
It was good
Fast friendly and efficient done with in the hour
Had to wait 5 min even if I had an appointment, but that is no big deal. Service was good, polite and precise otherwise.
The worst store i have ever visited. The manager was really rude. They wasted my time. If you are going to open your stores in the midst of a pandemic, PLEASE be sure to provide good service and not waste your customers time.
Went to buy a replacement phone for my daughter and they were amazing and helpful. Thank you Apple and Fair Oaks!!!!! I will be coming back for all my apple needs.
Today I spent two hours and half for nooootthhhhingg. Instead of buying two iPhones they caused a problem with my At&t number. I had the worst experience from the employee Diana and her manager. They didn’t even say sorry for wasting my time for nothing.
Man whats with the popularity of this place? Went to buy an 11 with my cousin. First time here shes from out of the country. Signed up to the queue waited 20 minutes while there were plenty of people in apple shirts talking to each other. Finally had a guy come up to us, asked us what we wanted, told him an 11 for her, he asked what color, he got it and sold. No other questions asked. Was planning on getting a cover and screen protector. But since not asked, left and went to five below and got it there along with the screen protector. Thanks for not caring. Sure we saved a lot. Glad Im a galaxy guy.
The girl that helped me was good. My problem was with having to wait in 2 lines. They told me to come back at a certain time and I did but had to wait again. I almost left.
They accommodated me so quickly for an appointment.Thank you,
We appreciate Apple trying to help us today. Besides the place being extremely packed, once you got to find someone they were well mannered and remembered your name. They did the best they could to assist us with our warranty problems by replacing the device.
Nice store but crowded!
My bf went there to get his screen fixed, they were able to do that in one hour. The store is very organized and my bf got happy with their job.
Wait was a little long considering I had an split but once inside the customer service was great was done with my business in about 10 minutes
I get that sometimes it gets busy. They should plan for this though and have a couple more people working.
Very peaceful, social distancing at its finest
The most unprofessional staff I have ever encountered. Very disappointing
Awesome customer service
Pacifico was really great with client service! Very professional, polite, and patient with us in a rush! This employee deserves a recognition! I’ve also been in the service industry for years so had to give him a shout out. Give him a raise?!
Definitely no geniuses working here.
I really had a great experience With Justin and his team! This was great teamwork and everyone in the store knew what theyre doing. I have expend like 3 hours there back and forth but it was worth it because all the Apple team have heard my complaint and did everything to make a customer happy.!!I am thankful For all the hard work and will always be an Apple customer! 😊 thank you all again.!
Did great job of fixing issue with appointments booked.
Didnt like the long wait
Had such an awesome experience here. Every single person who works here is so helpful, even when the store is PACKED and it’s clear they are very busy- they checked on me several times and were so sweet.Bear started my appointment, and was super up front and honest with me about what was going on with my phone. Super nice and helped a ton. Then, ZOEY came over and I CANNOT recommend her more. She is truly a “Genius” and like, I will forever try to keep getting her anytime I have any issues there.I will exclusively only be going to this Apple store now. :) thank you both for all the help! I love my new phone.
This place is luck of the draw. Some customer service associates are nice and helpful and hopefully you land with one (after getting passed from rep to rep several times). If you go into any store, make sure you have done your research and know that you have the money to buy the products outright. I would stay away from any financial products (loans, apple cards, etc.). This is what causes bubbles and gets you stuck in the quagmire of credit scores, APR, missed payments, etc. I am not sure why Apple is peddling all these different financial products, and having young genius kids do so?Apple then doesnt take any accountability when things go wrong for the customers with these dangerous financial products. The management team puts on an empathetic tone but doesnt really want to resolve any customer issues. Online help is not that much better.
Got really good service from the person at the genius bar. She took her time explaining things in a patient, clear and professional manner. Later I found it that she was supposed to off work 20 minutes ago. Thats real dedication and taking pride in her work. Bravo!
Only scheduling tech support phone calls (Dec 6 2020 visit). Online appt scheduling for purchases
Seriously just had the best experience ever. The staff here worked hard to make sure that we did not lose my photos off of my broken phone. They were efficient, professional, and well informed. I’m super pleased.
Need to book appointment for any iPhone/mac purchases. This store offers screen protector services. Considering current pandemic situation, many Apple stores are not offering this service. The staff are friendly and following social distancing guidelines strictly.
I expected since I prepaid for the item that I was picking up I would spend a reasonable amount of time in the store. It’s been 20 minutes since I was originally greeted/tracked someone down for help.... still no help or the item that I have already paid for!
Bad customer service 🤮
Purchased an Apple Watch on Jan 2 2020 - wore it for about 2 times only and the nylon band wasnt a good fit for my wrist. I called to see if I can exchange just the band. they told me that I couldnt since it was over 14 daystheres not exception to the rule.I read some reviews talking about associates being rude too. but most of them are just kids or with poor customer service experience. and they dont know much about technical support either.but they been told to greet every customer. So for anyone who buys at Apple Store and you dont like what you just bought, make sure to return it within 14 days.
I’m apple fan, But the people work there are too arrogant. I think it is the problem of the management. Apple need to do the best training and lean from DC store: Apple Carnegie Library! How to do the best service!
Free wifi, thats all I want.
Nothing in the store only online pick up. Not recommend
Not enough staff
Try to avoid this place if possible since we are talking about longer wait times and staff being little unfriendly. You may not be greeted for a pretty long time. Its no better at Tysons corner either however there are only few choices if you have to definitely visit an Apple store. Happy with reduced Apple footprint in my hardware and software ecosystem but MacBooks are going to be existing in it sure.
Its an Apple retail location; If youre into Apple stuff or considering Apple products it will be the same carefully curated experience as any other Apple Retail location. That said this location is often VERY busy. They likely wont have an issue attending to you quickly though. Ive been to this location multiple times for sales and never had any issues at all. Ive never utilized the Genius Bar or requested Warranty Service though so cant speak to that.
Service was quick. Our apple rep was knowledgable and friendly. I will definitely return to this location.
