My wifes iPhone got the screen of death while I was updating it, and I called this place at 2PM on a Saturday when they were going to close at 3. Crane answered the phone and was very kind and very empathetic to my case (even though it was entirely my fault), and he said that I could come in and hed take a look at it before he closed.He was very knowledgeable, nice, and just an overall cool guy to talk to. He even stayed ten minutes after he was supposed to close to help me out. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to try to get their phones repaired.

I was soooo frustrated with my phone. It wouldn’t charge, and when it did I’d have to hold the cable and press upward just to get anything. I googled places that fixed iPhones and that was close to me. I found Modern Communications. Within 1.5hrs he had my phone fixed with a new charging port, new battery, new screen protector, and he even cleaned all of the phones ports for me!! I was amazed at the price!! So reasonable and cheap in my eyes! I’m so very appreciative and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyone!! Owner was friendly, knowledgeable, and very professional!! I will definitely use them in the future for every tech need! I just hope that the owner doesn’t retire anytime soon! :)

I was actually referred by my cellular company to go see Crane at Modern Cellular. The screen was badly damaged and I was skeptical about it being repaired. It was almost 5:00 when I arrived (business usually closes at 5:00), but Crane welcomed me in and fixed my phone! I highly recommend Modern Cellular.

I cracked my XS Max screen, and posted a message on Yelp. Crane responded to message on a Sunday morning, gave me a below market quote, was very helpful when my wife took my phone in, and added a new screen protector for free. Awesome and easy experience! Modern Communications has been my “go to” repair place for years! I have a tendency to break screens, (and phones!) and they are always quick to repair / replace them. (And not make me feel like a clutz.) This place is simply awful. The service and selection are the worst Ive ever experienced in my life. Everything is either a ripoff or a cleverly disguised knock off. They couldnt fix any of the problems i was having with my s5. Every question i had was met with an extremely vague answer. Ive been to this store twice and each time I left frustrated. Never coming back.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Modern Communications. Crane Walker (the owner of this company) has provided my husband and I both with phones which we have bought outright, so as to avoid the inflated costs of contracting through chain providers such as verizon, etc. We have paid a low, monthly fee allowing us to have unlimited calling and texting and paying only for the amount of data that we need and we have been able to adjust our monthly programs and costs as necessary. Whenever weve had problems (including phones wearing out or being damaged, such as when one ended up in a swimming pool) he has answered our panicked phone calls instantly and replaced the phones asap. He has also fixed settings and showed us or talked us through tweaking settings and backing up data, etc. many times. He is truly on-call and dedicated to his customers and is knowledgeable and creative in fixing technology and making it available with service plans tailored to each customers need. In fact, although we met Crane when we lived in Tallahassee, we have continued to contract with him for our telephones even though we now live far away because he is so great to work with.

Even with phone repair shops are on every corner, these guys are still the best choice. I have referred dozens of people and they all have had the same experience. A+ across the board!

This was by far the worst level of customer service I have experienced. The employee gave me a time frame to have my phone repaired and completely left the building with my phone locked up without even finishing the rest epair. I went to retrieve my phone the next day despite having business to tend to that previous day but was unable to because my phone was locked up. I spoke with the manager Crane that day with no resolve. He basically asked me what he wanted me to do with a very arrogant and condescending tone without offering up any resolve for my inconvenience. When I offered him ways I felt could resolve my problem such as speedy service or discounted price he refused. You try to support small businesses as opposed to franchises and corporations and this is the level of customer service you receive after being inconvenienced by his employee a whole day. If you want professionalism this is not the place to go visit other locations in Tallahassee or just call Apple!!!
