I’ve been going to Vienna Tire and Auto for the past 3 years since it was so close and convenient. I usually had good service and communication. However, I’ve had terrible experiences with my last 3 visits.-Took my car in for an oil change and safety inspection about 4 months ago. They recommended new front brakes. They couldn’t get a wheel off and had to “order” some parts that in the end, they never needed. I had to call several times and got a different answer on the status of my car each time. In the end, I was without my car from Saturday through Tuesday. There was no loaner car available so I had to scramble to find a car to drive to work for 2 days.-Took my wife’s car in for an oil change 3 months ago. Came home and there was a lot of oil leaking. Took it back to the shop to have it fixed and got a loaner car. I got the car back, but there was still oil leaking. Took it back yet another time and this time it took 2 days to fix the leak and we were without a loaner car for my wife to get to work.-Took my car in this week for an oil change and evaluation of heavy shaking while driving and braking. They found the brakes replaced 4 months ago were faulty and replaced them under warranty. They recommended a new tire which they placed 2 years ago, but said they had no record of the tires being purchased and installed. I had to forward my receipt and they finally said they could apply my tire warranty. They had to “order” my tire so I was without a car for 2 days since there was no loaner car. I just got my car back today and the tire pressure monitoring system indicator turned on. The pressure on 3 of my tires was set to 30psi and the new tire was set to 40psi. The recommended tire pressure on my car is 36psi.Long story short… Vienna Tire and Auto used to have good service. It should not take an average of 2-3 days for routine services with poor communication on top of that. This shop is severely understaffed as they have admitted and when they say they need to “order” a part, it means they ran out of time. I tried to stick with Vienna Tire and Auto, but 3 visits with major problems and being without a car for several days is unacceptable and very inconvenient for any commuter.Update 9/16/2021: Still a lot of shaking while driving. So after 2 days with my car at Vienna Tire and Auto, I still have the same ongoing issue.

I had to write a review for this Vienna location. I took my car in because the battery light was on and they determined it was the alternator. They called me the next day that the one that got in was not up to their standards. They immediately offered me a car to use while the part came in for no extra cost. I was SO excited to have a car and they made it so easy. I will go to this location from now on. They are professional and Jason is excellent at keeping customers updated and explaining what needs to be done in details I can understand. Thank you!

This review is specific to the new Vienna location. Simply, this shop is guilty of faking needed repairs. The kind of thing that gives repair shops a bad name. If you are curious, read on. I am pretty knowledgeable about cars, to the extent where I have built one myself. I went to the Vienna location needing new tires on my daily driver. I was also having a rattling coming from my radiator fan, so I asked them to check it out when it was up on the lift. The news came back that I urgently had to replace the entire shroud (the case around the fan) and that bottom half of the shroud was missing due to wear. Quote was almost $1,000 to fix it. I declined and took the car home, jacked it up and took a look for myself. The shroud looked like it was in perfect condition. Huh. Then, just in case my eyes were failing me, I took it to a reputable shop in the area. Yep. No shroud wear and no missing section. Pathetic. The rattling was due to needing a new fan motor. Easy replacement. $85 for the part. If you want to get tires there, fine. If you need any auto work, I can not recommend this shop due to the potential of fraud.

This place is awesome! With Jim and Jason you are in good hands. They keep the place clean, fresh Starbucks coffee and free WiFi. The team in the back is excellent, everyone is well mannered and groomed. A change of pace from what you come to expect from auto service. Will definitely be returning.I was originally quoted from the dealer a list of repairs (the norm). I came to VA Tire to see how they matched up in terms of price, they were 30% cheaper across the board with a bigger warranty on service than the dealer was going to provide.

I got my state inspection and emissions test done here in order to register my car to VA and it was fast and easy. Later that day I came back and asked if they could put on my new tags to my car. They asked me to leave my car and come back in an hour. After coming back I was ready to pay for the tags getting put on and they said it was no trouble. Great service and great employees!

I made the first online appointment to do more work on the car, but when I got to the workshop they told me that they could only do the oil change because not all the technical staff were there. At the end of the work I resumed an appointment for the rest of the work (checks on the brakes). Arriving on the day of the appointment, the appointment had not been registered and I had to wait, after checking, they gave me an estimate of $ 1,862 and I had to pay the estimate of $ 45. I think it is a bit expensive and not very professional.

The alignment tech is running late, so he wont be able to start until 30 minutes after your appointment.OK, how long should I expect the alignment to take?A full hour because the tech will road-test and verify alignment.I then watch the tech drive my vehicle in and out of the shop in 5 minutes, no road test.Your vehicle didnt need to be aligned. Thatll be $100.No, my vehicle is pulling to the right a lot. Please verify.An hour later, two road tests, and three times on the lift, This is as close as we could get the alignment. Thatll be $100. Hands me a print out that shows its significantly out of spec.-----Re: Owners Reply: I know you feel compelled to offer to make it right but no, thanks. Front desk guys were nice but the tech acted like I was ruining his life by making him complete the actual alignment. I wouldnt entrust my vehicle to your shop after this visit and Ive already wasted enough time on this process.Best,

I had a flat tire a few blocks away and was able to arrive at this store. It was a Saturday and all appointments were booked. We explained our situation to the manager, Jim, and he made an effort to squeeze a tire replacement for us as early as possible. Their service was excellent. Jim was very polite, honest, and accommodating. I would recommend this store to anyone and I will go back soon, to get four new tires.

I came in today for my annual safety inspection. I incorrectly assumed I additionally needed an emissions inspection, but thankfully, Jason and Alfredo took the time to explain everything that needed to be done. They were absolute professionals and made the experience painless and smooth. I called when I got home for a refresher on a technicality they mentioned and I had forgotten, and when Jason answered the phone, he remembered who I was and proceeded to walk me through my question. I can’t say enough about how appreciative I am of their amazing customer service. Kudos to Alfredo and Jason!

Great shop. I have used them several times and have never had a bad experience. They have a emphasis on customer service which serves as a differentiator from other shops.Quick “shout out” to Jason and Travis - they did me a huge favor during my last two visits!

Update: I was able to return back another day and within 20min they were able to re link up a new sensor and test drive to make sure everything was working. I am very happy with the level of service I got this time and I hope to see this speed when I come again! The front desk staff and manager were very helpful and understanding of the situation and how many times I had to come in to resolve this issue. They take their customers feedback very seriously and I am glad that this place values their customers! Thank you!So I have been to this location many times for small tire repairs and patches. No problems other then sorta a long wait time but no issues. Recently I have been having many issues such as really long wait times for very small things such as an hour and a half wait time for a simple patch or an hour wait for an inspection. Just recently after I got a patch done I found out the TPMS sensor got unlinked somehow. Lucky we are working on a solution for that with no cost to me. But as trained as I hoped these technicians to be my expectations are slowly falling short. I love this place a lot with its nice waiting area and location but if this keeps up I might not be returning back.

Had some positive experience with this shop before, so took my car to swap wheels to them again. Simple process, bolts off, bolts on. Asked to rebalance one wheel, they did, but now I have bunch of scratches on the rim from old weights removal. Had a pretty new rim before, not anymore...

I am Tire and Auto customer since they have opened. Their benefits and long term insurance definitely worth it! I replaced my all 4 tires within a day and returned to have tire rotation done later on. It also gives such a piece of mind to have a tire services next door if you happen to have a flat tire or anything minor-they’ll fix it if you have the right insurance plan for free and in time! Nothing can beat their prices and customer service! Jason and his team are phenomenal-caring, honest, ready to have you up and running even if it’s a busy weekend. Our weekend was rescued and I made it to work on Monday due to the team’s perseverance and devotion. Thank you, Jason and the team! 👍💪🏻

Please do not trust VA tire and auto. I have been a longtime customer until recently. I went in for routine maintenance to discover that I needed a new tire, ok so life happens, and I pay for a new tire. I realized only after I had purchased the new tire that I had bought the old tire at that store the previous year. This entitles the customer to a discount when you pay for the tire protection plan, which I did. I spoke to the manager, turk, SEVERAL times over the phone and he keeps assuring me that he will refund me, NEVER SEEN A DIME yet. Probably never will. I am very disappointed at this level of service and professionalism from a company that I have grown to trust over the years. It may be a change in management, but please due your diligence and check yourself to make sure you dont get ripped off.

I took my car here from the Jiffy Lube down the street. After getting an oil change from there, Jiffy Lube told me there was an oil leak and they couldnt fix it. I then took the car here and they said that the reason there was an oil leak was because Jiffy Lube forgot to tighten the pipes. Virginia Tire and Auto then let me go free of charge, and were super nice about it the whole time. These guys are great, would recommend them 100%.

Had a noise in the tire. VA Tire took a look, couldnt find anything, put it on the rack and couldnt find anything, test drove it and did not find anything. There was no noise or charge when I picked it up, despite the time they worked on it. The staff works hard at greeting the people who walk in, even on a day when it was wall to wall people. People on the phone are asked to wait if there are customers in the store who were there first. Very satisfied with this store.

I was driving in to Vienna from out of town when my check engine light came on unexpectedly. I pulled into Virginia Tire and Auto to have it looked at. Jason met me at the front desk. He was extremely courteous, professional, and helpful. He got me right in with Justin who quickly diagnosed the problem, took care of it, and got me back on the road in an amazingly short amount of time. These guys were both awesome and Id highly recommend this place of business without hesitation. And thanks to both Jason and Justin for their professionalism and help!

I had my car serviced there yesterday (4/29/21).All the employees were extremely polite and professional the entire time. They also finished the car the same day and the work was good. They seemed to know what they were doing.

I was leaving work and rode over something extremely huge and my tire went flat in seconds and all the tire shops are closed. Jason just happened to be shopping at my job advance auto parts and I asked if he could look at it. He did more than look. He immediately knew there wasn’t any saving the tire. I put my spare on and even educated me because I’ve never had a flat. If all of the employees are like Jason I definitely recommend VA Tire Vienna.

Great all around auto service not just tires. I take all my luxury brand cars there instead of the dealers and save 60%-70% on parts and labor and always use OEM.

Don’t waist your time coming, the company can’t even hire enough people to keep the store running. Always overbooking their staff. Usually all they want is to take your money. CEO of the company is a joke. Worst experience ever. Never coming back, Management at this place is the worst. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

I was recommended work on my car that had literally been done 2 months ago. When I questioned it they said they recommended it based on mileage. This was SUSPENSION work, which is never recommended based on mileage.Go here if you want to be ripped off. That was my first and last visit with this company.

Amazing. They found an old tire warranty on my car and my replacement tire was over $100 less than it would have been otherwise. Staff was clear, communicative and overall provided great service. Highly recommend.

If I didnt work here to see yet alone do the work myself I might be less but that because I dont trust mechanics but I can promise you they will take care of all your car needs

VA Tire and Auto on Maple Ave in Vienna did a good job with tires, but overcharged for repairs. The manager, Jim, is professional, but attempted to sell a $100 alignment for a 0.1% deficiency. Only after I asked about the severity did he admit an alignment was unnecessary. In each of my previous visits the diagnostic fee was waived if you had them perform the repair. In this case he attempted to include it as a separate charge. It would have cost me over $300 to replace a squeaking belt! Lastly, their belt cost $100 when you could get it at Advance Auto Parts for $32. The quality of their work seems good, but you need to ask a lot of questions to get a reasonable price.

I took my car in for an oil change and when they did an inspection they found the cv boot was leaking. The recommendation was to replace the axle costing over $1000. I took the car to the Lexus dealer and found that there was a tear in the cv boot which caused the leaking and THE DEALER quoted me less than $100 to replace. When I called Virginia Tire and Auto back they said that they will always recommend replacing the axle. This sounds insane to me!

Jason was extremely helpful. He recommended the best tire for my car and the price was better than the competitions and even matched the prices offered online by Tirerack and others. I got 4 tires and alignment. They checked my brakes and suspension as well. Not a pushy service place. I am pleased.

Was told that they would call me back in 5 minutes to discuss tires for my car after having a tire blow the night before with my daughter driving. The representative called back 3 hours later just as Hogans Goodyear in fairfax was putting new tires on our car!

I came here because my car was making an awful noise and I didnt know what was causing it. I felt the bumps on the road more and I knew something was wrong. Travis and Jason helped me understand why part of my suspension needed to be replaced. After doing the work, my car has never felt better! No more bouncing over the bumps! Thanks guys!

10/10 would recommend this place. Jason was great, as well as the young black gentleman whose name I didn’t catch. I needed to get my tire replaced after it unexpectedly busted the night before. Jason was very polite over the phone and found a way to squeeze me in early, despite their packed schedule. He also helped me understand a few things about my tires and I really appreciated that. Plus I felt like I asked a gazillion questions and he kindly addressed them all with no problem. Great customer service and great staff. I would definitely return for any additional tire needs. I had a tire repaired at the Vienna location today. Due to my age and the pandemic I did not want to get out of my car during the repair. Jason assisted me and was able to arrange to have the repair done in the parking area and I was able to remain safely in my car for the entire process. Alfredo was the technician that preformed the repair in record time. The entire encounter was worth 5 STARS in my opinion. Thank you gentlemen for keeping me safe. I highly recommend them to anyone in the Vienna area for the outstanding services they are able to provide.

Went by Virginia Tire and Auto and needed help removing two screws from my license plate which were not budging. Jason, the manager, was incredibly helpful and friendly, and said we can help you out. It turned out to be a much bigger job that their mechanics thought. Carlos and Travis were working at removing these crews which seem to have rusted in place and couldnt be removed. They finally were able to remove it and rethreaded one of the holes. Despite taking nearly an hour, Jason did not ask for any payment. Absolutely first class experience and will now start going to them for my car needs. Thank you!

I have had many great and easy interactions with these guys over time, but what has really stood out was how well they treated me when something went wrong. They immediately worked out a time for me to come in and get a broken piece fixed free of charge. Every place has things go wrong sometimes, and this positive service in that case is the best reaction I could ever wish for.

Stopped in for a simple safety check and tire rotation. One hour max appointment. Came back in 45 min and they told me the car was done. Their invoice said they rotated my tires. I checked my wheels prior to visiting and know for a fact they did not complete the rotation. I called them on their lie and had to wait even longer while they did it correctly. Makes me question if the safety inspection was actually completed, but got my sticker and learned my lesson to avoid this company in the future.

Josh and Hank are absolutely fantastic to work with. I dont know how big VA tire is, but its basically like working with a mom and pop tire shop with how considerate and helpful they are. Ive been to quite a few places since Im usually swapping wheels and tires 5+ times a year and this specific location is by far the best tire place Ive dealt with.

My car was thoroughly checked over in the pre-purchase inspection. Jason and Alfredo provided great service and adhered to all COVID 19 precautions.

Very helpful!! I had gotten a flat tire just before they closed. When I arrived, the mechanic; Olvin was already driving off the parking lot to go home, but he stopped to help me instead. They patched my tire and I was able to drive again. They didnt have to help since they were pretty much closed, but I am so glad that they did!

Beware- they are not honest... will try to come up with ‘fake issues’ on my car that has to be fixed immediately, which of course costed a lot of money to fix...

Tech dripped oil all over my engine bay. Forgot to put remaining customer supplied oil in trunk.

BE CAREFUL! Always Get a 2nd Opinion. They charged for diagnosis of a leak, and then provided a $1,400 estimate for a complete steering gear replacement for a leak that was caused by a loose oil filter that Virginia Tire & Auto installed weeks earlier. Another mechanic diagnosed the problem and fixed in 5 minutes. Also charged $99 to replace tire sensor pressure valve -- Costco charges $60. Manager was very argumentative when bad diagnosis was brought to his attention. Bad quality. High prices.

Good customer service. Timely and informative. BUT...Too many cheifs & not enough engines. Idk why but they step on each others toes with info, got misinformation then it was corrected but too late and Sometimes they dont recognize whos been on hold or whos calling in.

I have had the worst experience ever at this location. It started with them contacting the warranty company for my tires and giving them the wrong information about the car which mislead the warranty company into looking me up. Then, they got the authorization to start the repairs which was replacing two tires. The warranty company left them a voicemail to have them call back to talk about the next steps. They didn’t contact the warranty company again until I pushed them to do so. They said they my tires in stock, and after getting the authorization, they said they don’t have and have to order it from the warehouse which will take two hours. It took 6 hours, and then they figured that they ordered the wrong tires. They told me to come back back the next day to have my correct tires in place. They gave me a hard time to releasing the loaner for me. After only two minutes later, they had me get out of the loaner because apparently they can’t release it to me because I’m under 25. I took my car at 5:50 PM and went to Just Tires a couple of blocks after them, changed both tires in under 30 minutes with cheaper price, and a exceptionally greater customer service. I forgot to mention that they went through my car messing everything up to find the wheel lock key, and they scratched both doors on the passengers side.

GET A SECOND OPINION before any repairs. They failed my car on inspection. It needed $1100 in repairs. I brought it to my regular service center and they said it needed no repairs. And they said mine was the third car this week from VAT that did not need the repairs that VAT quoted.

I have been taking my car to VA Tire and Auto for a year now. Josh has taken diligent car of my Nissan Altima Hybrid! My hybrid had given me problems (bought off Craigslist) and the electric battery was dying. I dont know cars very well, but Josh went above and beyond assisting me.He researched what I needed, gave me his advice and expert opinion, and made the process of fixing my car as smooth as possible. I wouldve spent thousands on a new car or some over priced battery, but Josh was extremely attentive to what other options were available to me. I have never received such genuine help for my car needs.Josh was fantastic, and I have already recommended VA Tire and Auto to another friend who has car issues. Go here for any car needs!

Went to get a tire puncture repaired and was told it was not repairable and that I needed to buy a new tire. Went to Mr Tire for a second opinion and got the tire repaired for a fraction of the price of a new tire. Enough said.

A copy of an email I just sent customer service.I am writing to discuss my experiences with the Virginia Tire and Auto in Vienna, VA. They have been less the enjoyable.The first time I went they didnt attach my wifes oil filter correctly and her car ended up leaking oil everywhere for the next 2 weeks. I was told when I called in with my concern that it was just some excess drip off and I need not be alarmed. A few days later there were puddles in the driveway and the oil light was on. I brought in in and we discovered the O rings and filter were not properly installed which is why my car lost all of its oil. This could have been devastating to someone who wasnt paying attention to it, as in their engine could have lock and their car engine would be trash. I had also asked for my coolant to be topped off, which I was told was done. Except the coolant light turned back on after 2 days leading me to believe the light had been reset but the work not done. They assured me it had been done but would do it again and I should be on the lookout for a coolant leak. Of course the light hasnt come back on since after they re-did the work, which leads me to believe my original hunch was true.Today I went in for an oil change and rotation. I was told a quote up front using my my tire club discount was x, and I went on my way. When I came back I was given a new price since i was not using my Virginia Tire credit card to pay, which has never happened before. I was not told I needed to do this when I applied or on past service. As a matter of fact, I only applied for the card because I was told I didnt need to use it to receive the discounts. Then I went out to get in my car and my seat, door, and floor were wet because it is raining today.The greeters at the front desk are great, manager was nice, other employees I interacted seemed nice but maybe some tightening on training and attention to detail is needed. As of this point, I will never be going back for any further service due to my past experiences. I have a friend who had the same oil leak issue (that ended up being an improperly installed filter that will never be going back for a service, and I will never suggest anyone go for their service. Sure, at the end it was made right I suppose, but all my issues could have been easily resolved with a little more attention to detail, and would have caused me a lot less headache.

Clean store and friendly staff. I went in for a safety inspection and ended up needing some repairs. Fortunately, they provide a free loaner car if your repairs are over $200, so I was able to get to work while my car was being fixed! I was treated well by everyone I interacted with here and will definitely be going back.

Excellent service

I was very disappointed in the service I received this morning. I arrived for my appointment promptly at the schedule time (7am). I went signed the paperwork allowing my car to be worked on. A couple of minutes later I was told one diagnostic tech had left and it was the day off for the other. I was offered to drive my car to Tysons corner to another place to have the diagnostics done (up Chain Bridge Road in rush hour traffic). I made my appointment two days in advance and made arrangements for work. If there was a problem with having a technician on site, why wasnt I notified. The store had my email and phone. I will not be coming back.

Just stopped by Virginia Tire and Auto because our tire pressure was low. Jason did a great job assisting us with putting air in our tires, he was very professional and we highly recommended him and the Vienna location.
